Craig - only son of C.J. and Lizzie Craig, Oct.31, 1889.
Eli J. Craig was born at McCormick Lake, Minnesota where he lived until his death. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church of Sauk Centre at the age of fifteen. The summer previous to his death, he had been in Dakota, but returned home Oct. 1, 1889, when he was stricken with typhoid fever, and other disease caused by drinking surface and slough water while in Dakota, which caused his death. A council was held by Dr. Lewis the attending physician, with Dr. Crozier of Glenwood.
He was a charter member of the Sons of Veterans of Sauk Centre.
