Elena Satine was born November 24, 1987 in Tbilisi, Georgia (former USSR) and raised on the Black Sea Coast of the Russian Riviera.

She began her professional career at the tender age of 6 when she appeared on popular Children Variety show “Utrennaya Zvezda” (Morning Star). At age 9, already a winner of numerous international awards, Elena became the youngest performer to headline at “Kinotavr”-International Film Festival. In 1998 on a spontaneous trip to New York City, the young actress attended an open call for at the Professional Performing Arts School, and got accepted on the spot. After graduating with honors at age 16, Elena continued her Dramatic studies at the Moscow Art Theater School in Russia, where she received a Diploma of Specialist in Acting Art.” She also participated in several international fellowships at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England.

Elena’s professional acting career in the United States began with the feature film Ripple Effect, co-starring Forest Whitaker and Virginia Madsen. She has since gone on to appear in several TV series, including Smallville with the live-action debut of the classic DC Sea Queen Mera. She also received critical acclaim in PBS’s Murder on the Orient Express. Elena continues to maintain a busy feature film schedule as well.

Elena most recently starred as Julia in the 2021 TV adaptation of the anime Cowboy Bebop.
