A cute little hotel that after three trips to Peru and a month's stay all around the country this last visit, Del Prado is our absolute favorite. Rooms are a bit dark, the hotel small, and furnishings are not U.S. five star level, which is the norm in Cuzco, but the hotel is immpeccable, with great feel, ambiance and service. Fabulous location just off the Plaza for quiet at night - but step out the door, go ten steps to the corner and you are in the middle of everything Cuzco! Most important - the people at Del Prado are the absolute best! They went far beyond the call of duty to help us with a number of misconnections and it was like having our own family - three thousand miles from home! Head and shoulders above four other hotels we have used in Cuzco, even a couple at much higher prices.

Lovely little hotel straight off the square in Cusco. Great value, 5 star staff in a 3 star hotel. Jacuzzi in the room.
Only gripe are the beds are too small.

The hotel is in a fantastic location on the edge of the Plaza De Armas. We had a lovely room with a jacuzzi styled bath. As an added bonus one of the walls in the room was an original Inca wall, all at a very reasonable rate. The staff were extremely helpful & could not do enough to help us.
Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Del Prado Inn in August 2005. The room was nice, with a great view of the plaza out our window, the people were fantastically nice and enthusiastic, and the location can't be beat. The only downside was that our room (in the front of the hotel) was apparently over a disco which started up around 10-11 pm and went until pretty late. After lying in bead listening to the Thumpa-thumpa-thumpa of the dance music, we put in our earplugs and went to sleep...

Otherwise, it was a great value. The magnificent Inca wall in the breakfast area was pretty cool as well.

I'm writing this review at 1:00 am in this hotel. The Hotel is next to a dance club that starts up at 11:00 pm and goes until 5:00 am every night of the week. After the first night we asked to be moved to a quieter room. The Hotel moved my brother to fourth floor and then moved me into the room they moved my brother out of when we returned from Machu Picchu. The Hotel stated they had no other rooms available. The hotel puts ear plugs in each room to compensate for the loud noise which does not even begin to block out the all night noise, screaming, and whistling from the drunks. This is not a three star hotel, not a two star nor a one star.

Dear Guest. We just read your comment about our hotel and we wanted to take few minutes from your time to explain you that there are many bars & Discos around the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, actually this is a problem between our mayor in Cusco and the owners of these places, since according to the Peruvian Law it is forbidden to have bars and Discos at the Historical Center, But these places are - all of the time - full with tourists, so they claim that the tourists are their main clients so since Cusco is a tourist city we can not close them. We had invest a lot of money treating our rooms with a special insonorization system, so we think nowadays we reduce the noise in - at least - 50%, but we are continue working in order to improve this point in our hotel, so we can offer the best conditions to our clients. Thanks for your time and for believing in us Del Prado Inn

This Inn is located aprox 400- 600 ft from the Cathedral at the Plaza de Armas. The staff is courteous, friendly, willing to help. The rooms are clean, properly decorated and a 110V power plug was available near the basin. We stayed three nights including a Saturday and were concerned about the noisy night club. We had no problems not even used the in-room provided earplugs. This maybe a seasonal issue. Of the 4 hotels in Peru this one was our best experience including the breakfast. WiFi had a great signal and reliable. The only minor limitation is that the rooms relative to US standards are small but for the price paid it was a great VALUE.

Four points that I'll leave you with.

1. Read the other reviews; its right next to a club that blasts music all night. Then the people pour out into the street in front of the hotel to make more noise.

2. The entire 2nd floor smelled of cigarette smoke. Someone was smoking and it made its way into our drafty room. As you're trying to acclimate to this elevation, this sure doesn't help.

3. At this elevation the nights get very cold. There's no heating and the rooms are very drafty.

4. In our room (202) there was no hot water in the shower and the water literally just dribbled out of the shower head.

This is by FAR the WORST hotel we've stayed at during this vacation. There has to be better choices nearby. Buyer beware.

This is an edgy part of town but that also means there are many nightclubs. The sub-woofer went til 3am last night and I felt like it was in the room. When I complained, she just said it is unique to get a room with no noise.

We are allways persuing the closing of the night clubs in the historic center, although some of our rooms have a better noise reduction and are happy t=to move our guest to quieter room when possible.

My husband and I were married February 20, 2016, in Victoria, BC Canada. After traveling for 27 hours, we arrived exhausted yet were welcomed by the staff complete with coca tea, and shown directly to our room. Lizbeth and other staff assisted us with directions, telephone calls, taxis, and changing our return flight time. They were very accommodating with meals, laundry and advice. We really enjoyed a comprehensive breakfast with thee best coffee, fresh fruit, local cereal and eggs exactly as we love them! Always cheerful and welcoming when we arrived late, we highly recommend this hotel! Very close to all amenities, and steps from The Plaza D'Armas. David and Elizabeth Collis Victoria BC
