French striker Hugo Ekitike, currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to Eintracht Frankfurt, is set to remain in Germany beyond the current season. According to L’Equipe, the Bundesliga side will activate the 21-year-old’s purchase option this summer.
The purchase option is set at €16.5 million and will be paid in three installments. It will be automatically triggered once Ekitike has played 50% of his team’s matches, a milestone the former Reims forward is expected to reach soon.
With the €3.5 million loan fee already received, PSG will pocket a total of €20 million from the transfer.
