As an example, this was MY COMMENT that I posted, Wed., May 17, 2023:
My name is John Redaelli...I'm a resident here in the city of Huntington Beach for well over 20 years...I led the successful effort in lobbying the city (HB) for (4) Synthetic Resin Bocce Ball Courts at Murdy Park...
My report to the city "Bocce Courts 4 HB (Huntington Beach)" that started the ball rolling in this successful effort can be found at SlideShare - https://www.slideshare.net/johnredaelli/9112017-revised-bocce-courts-4-hb-huntington-beach?fbclid=IwAR2H_gAcSdKf0cdTEvVR6fiRplv0CppU6ElVy5fiwVFJAxBHpUyq9ib9Jwg
I hope I'm not too late for this effort (Edison Park Reconfiguration Plans)...I believe the addition of the (4) Bocce Courts at Murdy Park, not only has brought joy to old and new bocce players alike, but, has also contributed immensely to a more friendly and welcoming park...
Like at Murdy Park, I hope the city (HB) will give some thought and consideration for (4) Bocce Courts at Edison Park...Thank You So Much, City Of Huntington Beach!...

Upon successful COMMENT submittal, you should receive a notice like I did - "Great! Your feedback has been collected..." (As shown below)...
It was advised to me by Eric Barraza, Recreation Coordinator, at the Edison Community Center (Who I met and spoke to, Wed., May 17, 2023), Eric, explained to me at this point in time, the best way to show support for Bocce Courts at Edison Park is to MAKE A COMMENT for that support...It's a numbers game, the MORE SUPPORT shown, the BETTER!...The greater the chances for consideration and success...

Skateboarding and bocce ball part of Edison Park revamp - https://www.ocregister.com/2009/06/24/skateboarding-and-bocce-ball-part-of-edison-park-revamp/
By JAIMEE LYNN FLETCHER | Orange County Register June 24, 2009
HUNTINGTON BEACH- Plans to revamp Edison Community Park could include a new skate park, bocce ball courts and playing fields, among other additions.
The city this month received Planning Commission approval for a master plan to reconfigure the 40-acre Edison Park in the 2100 block of Magnolia Avenue.
The park is home to batting cages and two baseball diamonds; tennis, basketball, volleyball and racquetball courts; picnic and play areas; a community center and 132 parking spaces.
The city wants to utilize the park’s open spaces and add a playing field, expand the parking lot by 124 spaces and construct a new parking lot with 120 spaces, build a skate park and install two bocce ball courts, according to a city report.
The master plan is expected to be implemented in four phases over the next eight years.
Phases one and two are expected to focus on constructing the new parking lot and fields. Phase three would introduce new park facilities, such as the skate park. The final phase would be the expansion of the existing parking lot.
The redesign of walkways and removing and replacing about 200 trees would be worked on throughout the eight-year construction period.
City officials said plans are preliminary and there is not yet a cost estimate or an anticipated construction start date.
Although the basic plan was approved, specifics may have to come back before the Planning Commission as the project moves forward.
