My experience at Edison has been for the most part very good. The academics are excellent, and the various courses, extracurriculars, and resources have granted me abundant opportunities to prepare myself for college, I can attribute much of my college acceptances (including UC's) to Edison's competitive yet supportive system. Edison offers the most AP classes in the entire Fresno School District, which I find very beneficial to its students. One area for improvement would be Edison's physical environment. Restrooms are often closed or out of service, and there is not much greenery on campus which makes it appear a bit dull and sullen. However, student council members have already initiated projects to improve the campus, which goes to show the high-achieving nature of Edison students.
Edison High School has been a pretty good high school and has met and exceeded my expectations but also fallen short in different ways. The different pathways are promoted and funded differently and some courses have requirements that seem a little silly, such as seniors only. Despite this, there is a noticeable diversity not only in the student body but also in the courses given. In Edison, there is definitely a class for everyone and with varying levels too. The different options and the possibilities for courses means that it'll be really hard to share the same classes with people and thanks to the big staff number, the same class can be taught in different ways.
Edison High School is a fantastic school consisting of numerous AP classes and opportunity for academic growth. There are plenty of clubs for students to join and lead that will fit to their interests and there is a spot for everyone whether they realize it or not. The sports here are decent- we are a base D1 school although in many of our large sports ex: volleyball, basketball and football, we are the bottom of D1 and struggle to compete. The teachers here range from highly motivated and interested in their job to checked out and handing paper work. Overall Edison is a great school and I would attend here again.
