Edison High School Reviews
Rating 3.89 out of 5 344 reviews
When I first entered high school, I was extremely worried of how I would interact with my surrounding peers. My worries were calmed as there are many opportunities to connect with others through clubs, athletics, and academic courses. The courses provided at Edison are exceptional and the selection is greatly varied depending on your course of interest. Although I enjoy attending this high school, something I would change is the food given as it lacks flavor and creativity as well as the level of hygiene the bathroom stalls are maintained at. As a current junior attending this high school, I would recommend it to many in the area as it offers strong athletic programs and many rigorous courses.
The programs offered here are unlike any other. They cover a wide range of topics, like STEM and cinematic production. Having been an active member in the business program, STEM program, and film program, I can confidently say Edison is a great experience.
The best part of Edison is our school spirit and sports. Our ASB is pretty good at what they do when it comes to football games, they go all out for Bell Week, which is our rival football game, and we always have a big student section. We have a lot of really talented sports teams, we are always at least in D3 or above for CIF. Our academics are good as well, but we had some great teachers who were let go last year. The worst part about Edison is that football always gets special treatment, and more praise than any other sport, but I'm sure that is pretty common at every school. I play volleyball, and one time this summer, my team and I had to wait outside the weight room for 20 minutes until football finished. Football is also always featured in Bolt TV, which is our monthly video announcement, and no other sports are mentioned.
