After their plane crashes off the coast of a deserted Pacific island, the surviving members of an American soccer team find themselves in the most dire of circumstances with limited resources, dwindling food supply and no rescue coming any time soon. Team spirit evaporates as disagreements cause the group to separate into factions - a violent one lead by an unbalanced ruler, and a compassionate one led by a selfless player.

A CW-approved "saw-ker" team's plane crashes, all of the olds die on impact and the rest kind of battle it out until everyone dies or gets rescued, whichever comes first.
Lacks the epic tree houses of 'The Blue Lagoon', but on the "Ethan Peck shirtless on a beach"-front it more than delivers. It's pretty terrible, but it's difficult to expect anything from this film.

As I watched Eden I couldn't not see a 'Lost' wannabe, an Alive retread (on a beach sans flesh eating) and a 'Lord of the Flies' clone without any good writing, plotting or convincing characters.

A plane full of soccer players crashes, the survivors are marooned on a small island with dwindling food resources, and tensions growing increasingly hostile amongst the group. No, it's not a mysterious "Lost"-type island; yes, the conceit here something akin to "Lord of the Flies" and "Alive"; but "Eden" never goes as deep into the territory of either film. Mostly, it looks nice and is competently performed/shot, but never feels like anything more than your average direct-to-video, nondiscript, would-be thriller and, eventually, it begins to feel like it's taking forever to get where it's going - which is nowhere special.

I guess the big problem is the characterization. We don’t know who’s who so the dynamic is all over the place, everybody hates everybody.
Just like The Divide, I feel like everything goes to shit too quickly. After 10 days stranded they start raping.
Rape is something I don’t understand and I think I understand it less as a cinematic device. If you want to shock viewers why don’t you just kill the girl. Since it comes out of nowhere I feel the murder is more shocking. But at the same time this movie starred Nate Parker, he was accused of rape when he did that movie Birth of a Nation....
genuinely harrowing to watch, ethan peck i can’t keep doing this PLEASE make a good movie so i can watch you with your boobs out this is becoming unbearable
