Eddie Murphy will soon have enough kids to round out a baseball team! A spokesman said Thursday that the 54-year-old funnyman is expecting his ninth child — this time with his girlfriend of four years, Paige Butcher, 36.
Murphy has nearly three decades of papa practice. And he’s really into it. A 2011 Rolling Stone profile said he keeps photos of all his kids on a shelf in his Beverly Hills mansion. It must be a pretty big shelf! He previously fathered five kids with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, a son with Tamara Hood Johnson, another son with Paulette McNeely and a daughter with former Spice Girl Mel B.

This 36-year-old Australian model is just a decade older than Murphy’s senior-most spawn, Eric, and she’s bonded on the beach with his daughter Bria, 25, also a model. Butcher, who’s been modeling since she was 15, has graced magazine covers and appeared in movies like “Big Momma’s House 2,” which showcased Murphy’s frequent co-star and friend Martin Lawrence. The pair has generally kept mum on the details of their relationship.

Eddie’s first wife, Nicole, 47, is a model, too. The couple was married from 1993 to 2006. Oddly enough, it wasn’t Murphy’s 1997 drive with a transvestite prostitute (he was allegedly just giving her a lift) that ended the marriage — that continued for the next nine years. She was later engaged to NFL star Michael Strahan for five years, and has been romantically linked to Nick Cannon. When Nicole starred on the reality show “Hollywood Exes” in 2012, she told Radar, “Eddie and I are friends; he’s my babies’ daddy, so we speak to each other and have a great relationship and I think that’s important when you have children involved.” She and Eddie have five children together.
Melanie Brown
Murphy’s 2006 relationship with Mel B, a k a Scary Spice, was his most high-profile to date. They have an 8-year-old daughter, Angel. Brown doesn’t recall her pregnancy fondly. On her reality show, “Mel B: It’s A Scary World,” she said, “I had people calling me a gold-digger, saying that I got pregnant on purpose. It was a horrible time.” But the former couple’s interactions have reportedly warmed since things got rocky last year with husband Stephen Belafonte.
Tamara Hood Johnson
Johnson is so unknown that many media outlets confused her with Tamara Johnson-George, Taj from the R&B group SWV, when Murphy’s ex sued a production company in 2013 for allegedly stealing the idea for “Hollywood Exes” from her. She and Murphy have one son together, Christian Murphy, an actor who appeared in “Cougars, Inc.” in 2011.
Paulette McNeely
The shyest of Murphy’s exes is definitely Paulette McNeely. The mother of Murphy’s oldest son, Eric, 26, has never been photographed and little is known about her, although she was connected to Murphy in 1989, arguably at the height of his stardom. The pair’s relationship appears to have been short-lived, however. His daughter Bria — with Nicole Murphy — was born in the same year.
