The teachers barely teach and don't give you the material to succeed. The cheer coaches have been terrible and have caused a crazy amount of hurt over the past 4 years. There is no support or guidance to help prepare for college at all. The admin is very biased and are not good at solving conflict.
The best experience that I had at East River was when I was struggling to meet my math requirements in order to graduate no matter what I did I kept struggling. My math teacher saw this and she made to always support me when it came to math, she took her time to teach me strategies and thanks to her I passed my test.
The worse experience that I could think is when I leave to go to college. The school is good including staff and principal and everybody who takes care of the school.

I've honestly had a great experience within this school. There are some aspects that I may not prefer, but they are prominent in every school, meaning that they will exist no matter what school I attend. The staff within my school are all very nice and accommodating, and everyone can tell that they truly care about the success and well-being of every student. While preparing for college, it is evident that those helping do want to see their students succeed and achieve the most possible out of their lives, which I believe is fundamental to having a welcoming environment and a safe/friendly school.
I had a good time at East River High school. The staff was amazing, the lunch food was pretty good, and the students were also pretty good. There are some things I would like to see change like the cell phone policy or the gum policy. Other than that the school was pretty good.
My overall experience with East River High school was that it was a great school to be part of. I loved being with my friends and doing sports. Sports are my main motivation and the main reason I survived high school. Without doing my sports, high school wouldn be as fun.
The best part about East River is the Teachers and the environment of the school. However, there have been some dangerous situations that have happened.
East River was an okay kind of school. The academics were good but unless your counselors pushed you to do AP or higher-level classes than usual the classes were lack luster. Most of the teachers or faculty were put into positions that they didn't know how to operate which jeopardized a lot of students and their future. However, the sports programs offered were very good and gave students athletic opportunities. I ran track and field for East River and the coaches and races were the best part of my high school career.
I like East River. I transferred there during semester two of my sophomore year. I've been going there for two years and a half. I've enjoyed my school. The theater program is really good and welcoming, my teachers have been pretty nice. I've made a lot of friends here at East River and everyone is mostly welcoming.
The best part about East River High is how they have a space for everyone. Every interest is discussed and no one gets left out. I used to feel like an outsider and felt like I did not belong with the other kids but I still wanted to feel included. That all changed when I started going to East River. There are so many different clubs and sports that can suit everyone which is very important to have to be a great and inclusive school. I really like that the teachers and administrators genuinely care about student's well-being and want students to succeed. They create a path best suited for us to follow to be successful in life. There is no discrimination against a student and their interests. There is always something they can do without feeling left out and that is something that I really appreciate considering countless people tend to feel alone at school. Not at East River. I genuinely enjoy coming to school every day and being taught by teachers who care and are always there.
East River is an interesting school to attend. It is a pretty normal high school, but we lack a lot of the funding necessary to make everyone's experience great. This isn't the school's fault, but it impacts the experience a lot of students have. In my classes, I'm always around a lot of the same people due to higher levels so I've really been able to create a community and feel safe and at home at East River. I really love high school and it's been a good mix of fun and challenging so far. However, there is a very diverse group of students at East River so it makes it sometimes difficult to get along with everyone, and there are certainly some characters. So, people might be the best and worst part. Also, sometimes administration can be a little frustrating to deal with but it has taught my friends and I to fend for ourselves a bit.
In East River high school, no one in the administration cares about you. They don’t care what you do they don’t care if you get bullied. In fact, they don’t even care if you die there are tons of students that drop out each year because the school and there education is terrible. East River high school is understaffed and the teachers can barely handle their classes. And the work that they put out is not challenging enough for students.
The teachers and administrations where always very supportive. I very much enjoyed the agricultural classes and staff.
Some of the best parts of my high schools experience is being part of a sports team. I have played on sports teams outside of school and they are great but being on a high school sports team is something different. It's very special and the bond you create with your fellow teammates is something I will never forget. The comradery is amazing and I look forward to being back with my teammates next school year. Another great experience is being able to have teachers that have different ways of teaching to ensure everyone learns in a manner that works best for them. The school is overall pretty great!
Some of the worst parts of my experience is an issue with bullying. This is mainly from other girls as they like to gossip and spread rumors which can be very hurtful and lead to harm. While this hasn't been that big of an issue, it is something that I would like to see changed in my school and district wide if possible.

At East River, they have good academic programs such as Cambridge and dual enrollment, but the kids at the school are always getting into trouble and disrupting the school day.
During my time at East River High School, I enjoyed the diverse selection of sports, clubs, and activities available to students. The administration and teachers were supportive and fostered a positive learning environment. However, I believe there's room for improvement in the school's food offerings. It would be great to see more variety, cultural diversity, and healthier options. Additionally, I believe the school could focus more on college readiness and provide students with more resources to prepare for higher education.
My experience in east river highschool was really good I enjoyed this two year of studying in those buildings, teachers are really nice, fun, and comprehensive with the necessity of their students. The school offers a really good variety of classes and the diversity of students makes a really nice environment. The only negative thing about the school is mainly their counselor because even though there are really good counselors that always want to help you there are other that basically do the bare minimum making harder to the student to understand how the school works but overall east river highschool is a really nice place that make all their students feel in a nice academic environment
The school really lacked diversity. The faculty tended to place more importance on arbitrary rules than on education .
