I am on windows 11 home and i have done all the tricks with the duplex - Microsoft Community

I am on windows 11 home and i have done all the tricks with the duplex settings but my link speed is still capped at 100mbps and i am on 1gb internet speed, how do i increase my link speed?

long story short i spent around 3 hours last night adjusting all my settings in my network tab, i have set my duplex and speed to 1gb to correspond with my new wifi speeds but my system is still capping its link speed (recieve/transmit) at 100mbps, how do i increase this to be able to fully utilize my wifi capabilities.

It should not be the case.

1. Press the Windows key + X on your keyboard.

2. Select Device Manager from the list of options.

3. Expand the Network adapters category.

4. Right-click on your Wi-Fi network adapter and select Properties.

5. In the Properties window, click on the Advanced tab.

Do you see any setting in that which might be affecting?

You are looking at the properties of the Ethernet network adapter which has nothing to do with your WiFi connection. Does it clearly specify how to connect to the internet, via LAN or WiFi?

In any case, as regards the Ethernet connection, the Speed and Duplex option must remain set to Automatic Negotiation. Specify the exact model of your WiFi network adapter or send the screenshot I requested.
