A brave middle-aged woman has fought off a gang with a walking stick after an alleged home invasion north of Sydney.
Four people have been charged after they alleged broke into a Raymond Terrace home on the New South Wales Central Coast early Saturday morning.
Police will allege three men and a woman hurled a concrete object into the window of the home and smashed the windows of a car parked in the driveway.
The group then allegedly forced entry to the home where a man, 51, and three women, including two 50-year-olds and a 73-year-old grandmother, were inside.
It's understood the group allegedly broke into the house after being told off by the occupants for loitering.
The group allegedly became involved in a physical altercation with the male occupant inside.
CCTV obtained by 7News captured the 73-year-old woman's daughter-in-law is outside the home fighting off the group accused in the incident with a walking stick before being pushed to the ground.
None of the family were injured during the alleged incident but described the ordeal as horrifying.
Police arrested two men aged 35, a 30-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman at a nearby home a short time later.
Three were charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent to inflict actual bodily harm, two counts of destroy or damage property, and common assault.

One of the 35-year-old men who remains in hospital under police guard is yet to be charged.
A 30-year-old man and woman, 33, were bailed to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on July 5.
The other 35-year-old man was due to appear in Newcastle Local Court on Sunday.
Police inquiries into the incident continue.
