You realize, don’t you, that what’s going on in our country is the collapse not just of an empire, or an economy, but a comprehensive paradigm of human progress. The hallmark of post-war life in Western Civ was supposed to be a return to sanity after the mid-twentieth century fugue of mass psychotic violence. The wish for just and rational order was not entirely pretense. But that was then. Now that we are going medieval on ourselves, the not-so-ironic result will be our literally going medieval, sinking back into a pre-modern existence of darkness, superstition, and penury, grubbing for a mere subsistence in the shadow of scuffling hobgoblins, our achievements lost and forgotten.

What’s most appalling is that our governing apparatus is visibly willing that to happen. When Barack Obama warned America to not underestimate Joe Biden’s ability to fuck things up, was that some kind of joke? After all, it was Mr. Obama and his fellow blobsters — the cabal of Intel spooks, covert Marxist bureaucrats, lawfare ninjas, globalist megalomaniacs, post-liberal think tankers, weapons grifters, degenerate billionaires, and assorted mentally-ill camp followers — who inflicted Joe Biden on the body politic. And then ran him on the country like some demon algorithm designed to wreck the USA as fast as possible.

The source of anguish in all that is the struggle to understand why they would want that to happen. What debauched sense of history would drive anyone to such lunatic desperation? It’s a cliché now to say that the Democratic Party has turned its traditional moral scaffold upside down and inside out. It acts against the kitchen table interests of the working and middle classes. It’s against civil liberties. It demands mental obedience to patently insane policy. It’s avid for war, no matter how cruelly pointless. It’s deliberately stirring up racial hatred. It despises personal privacy. It feeds a rogue bureaucracy that has become a veritable Moloch, an all-devouring malevolent deity. And now, rather suddenly, it aligns itself with a faction that seeks to exterminate the Jews.

And how did the opposition to that epic divergence into bad faith turn so flabby? How did the Republican Party roll over and wheeze so feebly while the FBI ran amok swatting grandmothers in dawn raids, and the US attorney general made justice a whore, and a Republican Congress allowed the Frankenstein agency of Homeland Security to flood the country with its enemies and give them gobs of operational cash? If Mr. Trump was unappetizing to them as a leader, why were they unable to produce an alternative figure of standing and stature at least equally resolute? They look like traitors and cowards.

For the moment, the country lies mired, inert, and demoralized in the face of those terrible mysteries. But events are still tending and the hidden hand of emergence still operates backstage, preparing surprises for us. You are necessarily aware that the center did not hold. It’s even hard to locate where the center used to be with the action so heavy on the far-out margins. You’re watching drag queens importune young children to shove all the Jews into the sea. And the kids are sitting next to their mommies. What happened to the mommies’ brains that permits them to think this spectacle is okay? How will the mommies ever get their minds right?

In some quarters, a great rage is building. Not a few resent the overthrow of common sense, common law, and common decency. You better believe they will be aiming to do something about it. They will stand up for their dignity, their culture, their history. Virtue isn’t dead; it’s just broke down on a lonely highway waiting to hitch a ride back to where the lights are still on. Don’t forget that this really is the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Meanwhile, prepare for action. It’s obvious that the enemies of the people don’t intend to rest. They are going to try to play out this string to the last move because otherwise a lot of them will be going to jail, or might even hang for their wickedness. Once they turned criminal, there was no turning back. They have dishonored themselves and they’re trying to dishonor their country.

It’s true nonetheless that we’re moving into a new disposition of the human project. It’s going to be smaller and leaner, and not nearly as complex as the tottering Rube Goldberg apparatus we’re currently trapped in. We don’t know yet what the shape and texture of that America is going to be. As the sage Yogi Berra observed, our whole future is ahead of us. If you’re not among the insane, have faith. We’ll get there and everything is going to be all right.

Follow the money. Who gives money to our politicians? Who owns the media and demands their acquiescence? Who has influence over our rulers? Could it be AIPAC and the ADL? American Jewish voters who align themselves with every cockamamie idea that is destroying us? The most loyal progressives are the American Jews.

We need a national discussion on Israeli influence in this country. There is no reason Israel or any country should be giving one cent to our politicians. There is no reason that that less than 2% of the population should be represented so strongly in Washington DC. Look at Bidens cabinet and advisors, overwhelmingly Jewish.

I don’t care about the various dessert tribes over there but I do care when one of those tribes has bought our government.

    • benr April 29, 2024 at 9:53 am #

Wrong enough of the Jew this Jews that bull.

As of 2020, the core American Jewish population is estimated at 7.6 million people, accounting for 2.4% of the total US population.

Look no further than the indoctrination centers called higher learning.
Look at the nonsense they are teaching the kids.
Fifty years of ever further to the left leaning schooling tipped us over the line from educated to indoctrinated and brainwashed.

Look at the media and the absolute lying and nonsense they foist off as news.
Go no further than some leftist show like the view.

Seriously record the view and then watch what these clueless idiots spew as the truth.

        Judge Joe Brown today. *WHOA!*

        a) Look up the fraction of Jews in the world population.
        b) Look up the fraction of Jews among Nobel Laureates.
        c) How did a such a minor population of detested, inbred, forever repressed and hunted “chosen” pull it off?

Only the smartest ones survived, generation after generation. Then, the bottom 90% of that select group were exterminated. This works for sub-Saharan black Africans, too…though for an inverted skill set.

        • hmuller April 29, 2024 at 10:37 am #

That’s very Darwinian of you, Uncle Al. Did only the best and brightest Native Americans and Australian aborigines survive a similar culling process? It doesn’t appear so to me.

          • elysianfield April 29, 2024 at 11:07 am #

            Muller,

Well, what about Buffie St. Marie, Elizabeth Warren, and the crying Indian in the 70’s commercial?

          • hmuller April 29, 2024 at 11:22 am #

I’ve always enjoyed picturing Elizabeth Warren in a teepee, softening a buffalo hide by chewing the whole damn thing. Finally, her mouth put to good use.

            Beryl,
Unlike my suggestions, she was actually a native American.

          • elysianfield April 29, 2024 at 1:33 pm #

…The crying Indian was a good Italian boy named De Corti, and Buffy…sweet Buffy, of Italian and English heritage…Billy Jean Santamaria!

          • Rowdypiglet April 30, 2024 at 10:34 am #

@hmuller, if you’ll note what was said, it was pointed out that only the smartest survived GENERATION AFTER GENERATION. What happened to Native Americans and aborigines happened over a relatively brief time, not many, many generations. It wasn’t, in fact, a similar culling process at all. What’s referred to here is a long process of evolutionary natural selection.

          • hmuller May 2, 2024 at 10:13 am #

Yes piglet, things are different in some ways, similar in other ways.

Bottom line, a whole lot of nonsense is tied into the pseudo-science of evolution.

One deep thinker told me the human heart is on the left side because most people are right handed. Carrying their weapon in the right hand, their shield in the left – thus protecting their heart from being pierced.

Does that sound logical or ridiculous to you?

      • hmuller April 29, 2024 at 10:33 am #

Benr, whether under 2.0 or 2.4 percent of the population, that’s not the point. Jazz is right, we need a discussion. It won’t happen, but it would be nice if we could at least talk about funding all the wars.

You can’t deny the role of many Jews in constructing the insane Golem (academia, media, deep state, etc) which has now turned on them. Why? JHK asks. Any ideas?

        • Beryl of Oyl April 29, 2024 at 10:37 am #

Bush and Obama are Jewish? Who knew?

          • hmuller April 29, 2024 at 10:52 am #

Do only Jewish politicians receive AIPAC money? Congress and the deep state are full of gentile Zionists, at least while the money is still good.

          • benr April 29, 2024 at 11:16 am #

No but both are related to the german err british monarchy.

          • hmuller April 29, 2024 at 11:33 am #

They’re not German, benr. They’re reptilians. Every group has some. Witness the Jewish Elite, aka the Khazarian Mafia. Why do they keep arranging for Jews to be persecuted and attacked, if they’re on your side?

George Soros and company are funding Pro-palestinian incidents. He and his ilk have been your enemies since Soros helped gentiles rob Hungarian Jews in the closing days of WW2.

Of course, the Rothschild family was impressed by someone who can so easily fuck over his own people. Exactly, the talent they seek to hire.

          • TruthSeeker1986 April 29, 2024 at 1:07 pm #

            @Hmuller

I’m surprised that no one has made any attempt to kill none of these people. Like ZERO. Gangs and crime syndicates usually have enemies who will at least go after them. But Soros lived to be 90+ years old and he’s still destroying and wrecking up everything. Not only that his pencil dick song said that when his father dies, he plans to be even worse than his father.

          • hmuller April 29, 2024 at 1:23 pm #

Truth seeker, I would use words like Satanic and demonic to describe the souls of the globalists. Whether such things actually exist is not the point (or at least not the most important point).

The Globalist Elite believe in Powers and Dominions which grant them power and wealth via certain rituals involving children. Epstein was not a unique case anymore than that one diner cockroach was an only child.

Maybe he is saying he has had enough of “Jew this Jews that”. IOW he is tired of the focus on Jews.

I’ll go along with that. Jews are certainly more influential in society than their numbers suggest, but IMO, the course of the world is determined by so many natural forces, not what anybody wants or thinks.

“We need a national discussion on Israeli influence in this country.” ~ jazzage27

If that were the case, then how do you explain “Joe Biden’s” insistence on peace, and how he is treating Iran?

      • AZJJ April 29, 2024 at 10:13 am #

        From Jim Rickards:
        I. Iranian Agents Are Deep Inside the State Department

If you’ve watched films including James Bond or have been inspired by John Le Carré novels, then you’re familiar with scenes of spies breaking into safes or briefcases to steal sensitive documents or photograph them with Minox cameras before putting them back moments before the antagonists walk into the room. That’s a throwback to the days when secrets were closely held and stealing them involved life or death intrigue. Some secrets are still in that category, but not as many as you might expect. In the new world of intelligence collections, much of what the spy agencies want to know is publicly available as open-source information (called OSINT by the agencies). During the Cold War, analytical ability was available, but the information was scarce. Today, there’s an ocean of information, almost too much to process. The scarce resource is analytical talent – the ability to make sense of it all and convert it into actionable intelligence for policymakers. Computers, including artificial intelligence (AI), can help with the analytic process to some extent. But what if it were even easier than that? What if a foreign terrorist power could put its agents inside the State Department, the Pentagon, and the Intelligence Community with ease and supply the terrorists with classified information and insights into official thinking? That sounds like a dream to spymasters but it’s happening every day. Ariane Tabatabai works for the Pentagon and oversees special operations and irregular warfare, some of which could be aimed at Iran. Evidence including leaked emails shows that Tabatabai has close family connections to Iran’s senior leadership and that she participates in a network of researchers privately working with the Iranian foreign ministry. Tabatabai has sought advice from the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps, a global terrorist organization, about whether it was OK for her to schedule trips to Israel. European leaders have refused to take meetings with the Pentagon if Tabatabai is present. All of this is enough to disqualify her from having a security clearance let alone working in a top policy position at the Pentagon This comes on top of the revelations that Robert Malley, a key official under Obama and Biden, had his security clearance suspended because of suspicions that he was secretly working for Iran. It seems clear that Iran has thoroughly penetrated the U.S. national security community. It seems equally clear than Obama and Biden allowed this to happen and even encouraged it. Who needs spy cameras when real spies can just walk in the front door of the Pentagon and get all the classified information they want?

        • TPTB-USA April 29, 2024 at 10:22 am #

So what do you see as Obama and Biden’s agenda?

          • TPTB-USA April 29, 2024 at 11:13 am #

“… Barack Obama euphemistically refer to this collapse as a “fundamental transformation,” on the theory that society can only be improved by destroying the deeply flawed existing order and replacing it with what they view as a better alternative.”

Cloward & Piven Strategy on Steroids
            daveschultz.com/2021/07/cloward-piven-strategy-on-steroids/

If the intention is to replace “the deeply flawed existing order”, then surely they must have a plan for the “new order”.

Does anyone have scope on the “new order”?

          • Jarek April 29, 2024 at 12:02 pm #

One assumes that it’s all part of Agenda 2030. They have many servants, knowing and unknowing, known and unknown.

Obama is one whether he knows it or not. They let him savage the White race. Is that not payment enough for one such as him? But he gets lots more too.

          • TPTB-USA April 29, 2024 at 12:18 pm #

That is the plain and simple explanation as I see it Jarek.

Why is there no discussion about the 2030 Agenda?

Not all of the players are in agreement. Do you have any sense who will come out on top?

          • TPTB-USA April 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm #

If you look at this from the perspective of the CFR, it appears to me that that whole flock is in on it, and indications are that Obama is part of that flock (so I would argue that he knows).

What is your current opinion about any of this Islander?

Do you view the CFR as being the foundation for the Biden administration?

If so, do you see them as being united on all the major issues?

“At a June World Economic Forum virtual event, Kerry said the coronavirus pandemic was “a big moment” that opened the door for the Great Reset and that, “The World Economic Forum – the CEO capacity of the Forum – is really going to have to play a front and center role in refining the Great Reset to deal with climate change and inequity — all of which is being laid bare as a consequence of COVID-19.””
            thehill.com/opinion/energy-environment/528482-john-kerry-reveals-bidens-devotion-to-radical-great-reset-movement/?rl=1

My read of “Joe Biden’s” actions is a fit with the 2030 Agenda in regard to the following:

            * End poverty and hunger everywhere
            * Control inequalities within and among countries
            * To build peaceful, just and inclusive societies
            * To protect human rights and promote gender equality and the empowerment of women
            * To ensure the lasting protection of the planet and its natural resources.

They want peace in the Mid East, and their mode of operation appears to be to try and appease (with money, concessions, whatever) everyone.

It appears to me that the Soros agenda relates to open borders and fomenting civil unrest so as to destroy the existing format for life. And, the CFR flock condone it because “society can only be improved by destroying the deeply flawed existing order”.

That which I have not sorted out is the notion that major corporations will not have a place at the table. What I am wondering is if corporations with woke management will be the exception?

I think that the Anwan brothers were a bigger threat. I think they got off scotfree, to boot.

And Sibyl Edmunds made an excellent case that the Turks have unwarranted influence on the government, especially the Dems.

Why did Clinton allow a terrorist named Fethullah Gülen into the country? How did Gulen amass enough money to buy a mansion with extensive grounds, in Pennsylvania? Why did Obama refuse to extradite him to Turkey?

And why does the US allow him to run taxpayer paid charter schools for American children?

“ Psychopathy has historically been conceptualized as a mental disorder, but there is growing evidence that it may instead be an alternative, adaptive life history strategy designed by natural selection. ” Lesleigh E. Pullman. So maybe not a Jewish problem as much as a cray-cray insane problem?

        • neurodoc April 29, 2024 at 2:38 pm #

oldandtired: Psychopathy is a technical psychiatric term for a specific personality trait that involves lack of conscience, pathologic lying, lack of empathy, manipulative interaction style, and a penchant for cheating. When a person has the trait, they are called a psychopath. Most psychopaths eventually end up in and out of prison or killed on the streets (these likely have the psychiatric diagnosis of Antisocial personality disorder), but about 25% are called ‘socially adept psychopaths.’ Many of the later end up in political power positions and some in DC, hence all the mendacity, manipulation, and lying in places of power.

I have to agree with Jazzage on this one and respectfully disagree with Jim. I believe the Israeli government is committing genocide in Gaza and that we are complicit by providing the weapons and money to achieve it. It is not antisemitism to express that. It is also not antisemitism to note that Israel and Jewish groups in America (e.g., AIPAC) have an undue influence on our government. It’s time to get our independence back before Israel drags us into attacking Iran and creating a regional conflict or worse. As for the students on the college campuses, they have the right to express their opinions without being labeled antisemitic. I say that with the knowledge that in any large group on protesters, there will be a few who say hateful things. I respect the Israeli people, but some of their politicians have said very hateful things about the Gazans.

      • Jarek April 29, 2024 at 12:05 pm #

A couple of months ago Mr Kunstler said that the Jews were in the forefront of American life and had been since after World War Two. So obviously they are going to get an outsized shared of the blame now that things have gone so very wrong.

          Jarek,
I believe you could say that they “lost control of the narrative”.

      • neurodoc April 29, 2024 at 2:28 pm #

Lars, I always find confusing the bringing up of the concept of ‘antisemitism.’ No one seems to ask what the hell is a semite. My grandfather was an Ashkenazi jew from WESTERN EUROPE, as are all Ashkenazis which includes 2/3rds of American people calling themselves ‘jews.’ That does not make my grandfather or me a semite or a sephardic. No one of Ashkenazi heritage is a semite.

The concept of ‘Jews’ includes Ashkenazis, Sephardics, Kazarians (exclusively from Uke and Rus) and Mizrahians. Semites are a racial group from the middle east that includes Akkadians, Arabs, Sephardic Jews, and Phoenicians. Ashkenazis are NOT from the middle east, they are ALL from Europe; they are not semites. The only people that can call themselves semites are Arabs and Sephardics from the Middle East. So what the hell, if anything, does anti-semitic mean. Answer: NOthing.

(BTW, among a dozen or so of my ‘jewish’ friends, only one of them knew what a Kazarian was and only two of them could define semite), despite most of them occasionally using the term ‘anti-semitic.’). None had heard of Mizrahis. None of my non jewish friends know any of this at an articulable level, and most think that all jews are Ashkenazi. Cultural ignorance always amazes me.

To make things even more confusing, well respected historians have shown, to the shock and surprise of many, that about 20% of Hitler’s officers were 1/2 or 1/4 ‘jews.’ Hitler was supposed to be the ultimate ‘anti-semite.’ None of the ‘jews’ in Hitler’s officer ranks were semites and none of the people he put into camps were semites. More confusion.

Human beings have an incredible ability to fuck up language for political or tribal or social status reasons. Hopefully, we will eventually evolve to the point of not being tribal at all.

        Just say’in.

        • Rulo Deschamps April 29, 2024 at 4:23 pm #

Excellent commentary by neurodoc. Minor correction, sephardic jews were killed in the camps, notably the whole Hebrew population of Thessaloniki, Crete and other parts of Greece. Some in Italy experienced or perished in the camps (Primo Levi comes to mind), but the Italians, despite the buffoon Mussolini, had too much love for life – still do – to turn into snitches and murderers, like most else, Ukranians, Romanians)

I know all this because my gramps was a jew, only Sephardic, not Ashkenazi. A Phoenician, of the crowd that coexisted peacefully with Muslims and Christians during the Caliphate in Spain, kicked out by Isabel and Fernando in 1492 and emigrated to Greece, Turkey, Balkans, the Middle East (where some had been all along history)…

It is a crazy curl on the billiard balls on the green that made each one of us who we are. Ultimately, there’s only two kinds of people, not jews and gentiles or any other false dichotomy if that’s a word. There’s only the worthy ones you can trust, and those you can’t. I think that’s part of the message in today’s missive. Decide who’s worth it in the few miles around it, can work hard, have faith and be there for you as you would for him – her. Another false dichotomy, that, XY vs XX. A welcome change of perspective by the accomplished author.

            @rulo

Have you been around other religious types?

Not just jews that look down their noses at others not of their faith.
Christians do it, Muslims do it, Catholics do it to other Christians as do Protestants and mormons won’t even let you in to some of their temples.

To neurodoc again: “Hopefully, we will eventually evolve to the point of not being tribal at all.” I think in the hard times ahead some forms of tribes will exist, as they must in turbulent times. I fully agree with you that racially defined tribes would be an original sin, just like slavery was, of the New America that will have to emerge, as mr K hopes. In any case, thank you for bringing some nuance and a sense of humanism and astonishment at the manipulation of words and concepts to a discussion that easily veers towards Manichean “good races” and “bad races” as Jarek here.

ben, not sure I understand your question. I wasn’t raised jewish, and according to them, I’m not even one of them as bona fides come from the mother’s side only and my gramps was on dad’s side. I was raised a catholic, and suppose still am. It’s the only spiritual tradition I know, I can pray the mantras and adorations (in Spanish only, as they are an old memory for me… dark churches in my hometown, Spanish, Irish and Italian friends all of the same persuasion… where else I am going to go in search of connection to the spiritual?) That said, I don’t look down on anyone for their beliefs. We all have a hard enough time being decent in this world.

Ron, sorry for the long absence. As you can imagine, spring is a brutally hard time for us, keeping up with farmers markets and such. I will bring you a silver dollar soon, my friend, thank you and be well. All well here except exhaustion.

Actually, all who dwell in Palestine are Palestinians, whether they like it or not.

I’m thinking that more than a few people protesting IDF actions aren’t OK with them, like targeting food aid convoys–which they did, the same one three times “accidentally,” a few weeks ago. They didn’t get the militant they thought was there, but all the food aid workers died. So there’s that.

    • benr April 29, 2024 at 9:59 am #

Do you think these protests are people who just one day decided to show up?
      They are organized and funded.
Mark Levin did an entire show on the actual pipelines of funding and it is pretty eye opening.

I am not sure how one can be a millionaire or billionaire and then claim to be a Socialist or Marxist but that is who is funding all this schlock.

Just another in a long line of color revolutions with useful idiots marching around and annoying everyday citizens with this crap.

A collection should be taken to send them all over to Palestine to fight the IDF then and only then will these stupid people understand they are being used.
When Hamas kidnaps them and at a minimum holds them for ransom and while imprisoned, they will be beat, tortured, raped and possibly murdered.

The world is ruled by Satan. It’s his world. It has been since the fall. That’s why he could show Jesus the world’s kingdoms when he took Jesus up onto a high mountain and say to Him that he would give him all the world’s kingdoms if Jesus would fall down and worship him. But he knows prophecy, too, and he knows his 1000-year sentence in the bottomless pit approaches, so he’s going to destroy as much as he can before then. That’s the ultimate goal. Corrupt creation and destroy it.

So, the middle ages were a time of “darkness, superstition and penury . . . .”? I don’t believe that this is an accurate, historical description of that time in European history. Life was certainly difficult then; when has it not been? But, there was no nihilism to drag us to despair and self-destruction as there is now. There was offered a purpose in living larger than our pitiful selves and there was not the mewling that presents as reasoned discourse now. We are certainly filled with hubris over our vaunted ‘technology’, but wander around as lost as babes in the wood and this pitiful ‘civilization’ will fade away as if it never was.

The media, academe, etc. have to continuously beat the drum about the “dark” middle ages, because it was a time of institutionalized Christianity. So, of course, it had to have been bad. RD is correct in evoking the image of communities working with the common goal of building magnificent cathedrals over the course of centuries.

However, life was cheap, and if you were born a serf, your daughter could be raped on the fields by your betters. So there’s that. Protection is not free. It was the feudal lord class, or the bandits, or the armies of mercenaries ravishing the countrysides of Europe and living off the land.

tlauria: I think you are correct in your assessment. A PA in one of my clinics was married to a women refugee from the CCP that escaped and moved here and became a patriotic US citizen. She talked about the super rich CCP members and even told of seeing, first hand, a highly illegal photo (gotten out of China clandestinely) that showed a (highly) gated neighborhood where some of the CCP honchos lived; all w/ pools, nice big yards and appeared to be 5000+ sq ft. Also it was well known that is was a death penalty crime to photograph the CCP members’ homes or their cars. Pretty much confirms your theory.

Brand new tents, mass purchased, and somebody had the know-how to set them up.

Does anyone think the college kids know how to erect a tent?

        • Ron Anselmo April 29, 2024 at 10:52 am #

Beryl – in my college years, seems hardly a day went by that I didn’t erect a tent. Oh my goodness, those UF coeds…

Ron, in my college years, seems hardly a day I wasn’t erect myself. Alas, a long time ago…

          • Ron Anselmo May 1, 2024 at 11:24 pm #

Doc, that was UF, in Gainesville. Three days from today – my graduation 40 years ago – 5/4/84. Jesus, time flies.

FSU, in Tallahassee, where the men are men, and the sheep are scared.

My younger son, 19, just finishing his freshman year at UF – we thought has was a 4G Gator. A grandfather, my father and his brother, myself and my brother, all graduates of UF – my son the 4th generation.

An aunt – the keeper of family history – sends me an obituary, for my great grandfather (1875-1935) – one-time mayor and town doctor of Palatka, FL. Last line says he graduated UF in 1902.

That makes my son a 5G Gator. Although, some uncertainty remains. He was Salutatorian of his class last year, with a GPA north of 4.7, which may indicate that my wife may has been unfaithful.

He may not actually be mine, in which case, he’d only be a 1G Gator.

Sorry you asked now, aren’t you? You’re a Floridian, if I remember correctly?

          • Ron Anselmo April 29, 2024 at 12:53 pm #

Non-flammable, tuco. Same material as their underwear – you remember the refrain – “Liar, liar, pants on fire” – better safe than sorry.

          • Suburban_elk April 29, 2024 at 2:57 pm #

            “flammable,” really?

          • GreenAlba April 30, 2024 at 7:58 pm #

‘Flammable’ didn’t always exist as a word. The word used to be ‘inflammable’, meaning ‘able to be set on fire’.

But, with the arrival of health and safety legislation (not to mention the less rigorous teaching of English) – and specifically with the development of fabrics that wouldn’t catch fire, it was felt that ‘inflammable’ might be misunderstood as non-inflammable, so they had to invent the word ‘flammable’, with its opposite, non-‘flammable’. As OG would say, sad but true.

          • hmuller May 2, 2024 at 10:33 am #

Let’s not forget the difference between enflame and inflame.

Someone on Jimmy Dore’s show pointed out that they will come out of the tents when they need to charge their phones.

That made me wonder- where are they charging their phones? And why are they being allowed to do that, wherever it is?

          @ Beryl of Oyl:

That’s an interesting question. I think some college kids would have no problem. I know a couple of my daughters could have erected a tent at that age, but we used to go camping fairly regularly. One of my girls plumbed in a new pump when she was 16, and did it all by herself. She was always the one who helped set up the tent.

On the other hand, I’ve known grownups (who shall remain nameless) who could not erect a tent.

I heard today that Hamas is attacking the pier the United States is attempting to construct in order to bring food and aide to the people of Gaza.

Now isn’t that interesting? Hamas is trying to stop the United States from bringing them aide?

      • tuco22 April 29, 2024 at 12:31 pm #

Maybe they think the pier is Jewish or something.

        • JC Penny April 29, 2024 at 4:32 pm #

Not that tough to understand: The most effective weapon in Gaza is a FB feed with staving old women and kids. The pier is a threat to that. But even if they managed to feed them, someone will use AI (Artificial Ignorance) to create a deepfake scene that is shown on all “major networks” of staving old women and kids.

Maybe they think the pier is being built for an ulterior purpose. Such as a place to dock when Kushner & his clients are ready to rebuild Gaza’s coastal real estate after Gaza & the Palestinians have been razed.

The US bringing food aid is consistently & immediately followed by Israelis firing on desperate people as they approach the food, assuming it doesn’t land on their heads.

If the US really wanted to help the Palestinians they could simply stop supplying Israel with weapons & ammo.

        • Cankerpuss April 29, 2024 at 1:46 pm #

Perhaps. I don’t know why Hamas is bombing it and the reporters on the radio program didn’t know why either. Only that it has been bombed by Hamas.

That’s because our current way of life has become unsustainable, to use that word, because of our government’s inability to see to the national welfare and promote the common good. Therefore, all things contributing to our current way of life are in jeopardy.

      • Cankerpuss April 29, 2024 at 10:36 am #

I would also say the people have chosen a lifestyle that is unsustainable, Tucco. Look at how they live.

        1. Americans buy big homes they don’t need. Mini mansions. Some even have multiple homes they don’t even live in. Why? How much home does a person need for shelter?
        2. Americans buy fancy vehicles they don’t need. Does a pick up truck used to haul crap around really need to be a luxury vehicle with heated seats, internet, and auto driver?
        3. Americans fund their lavish vacations on their credit card and are thus stuck with unsecured debt they can’t get out of.
        4. Tattoos. Lots of them. It isn’t cheap getting tats. Some people blow thousands on their body graffiti.
        5. Pornography is a billion dollar industry.
        6. The cartels are powerful and wealthy because Americans keep buying their drugs.
        7. Keeping up with the Jones’s.
        8. Paying $1200 for a root canal.
        9. Apendectomies shouldn’t cost $36,000.00.

We are due for a big slice of humble pie and that will be a good thing. For we as a people are far from being humble. So much so that most people are buried by massive debt, pretending to be wealthy but are slaves to their monthly payments.

Few there be that care. Our “leaders” sure don’t.

        • Organist1022 April 29, 2024 at 11:35 am #

Given the skill required to do a root canal, and the subsequent long-term benefits, it’s well worth $1200.

          • benr April 29, 2024 at 11:58 am #

            No, it is actually not!
No root canal lasts they will always go bad.

If they say you need a root canal just get the tooth yanked and have an implant put in.

          • tuco22 April 29, 2024 at 12:35 pm #

Yeah, it’s a lot cheaper to get the tooth pulled, and that way, you don’t have to worry about a filling falling out at some point.

You can probably resolve most root canal situations by taking Echinacea, but it takes a high dose for dental problems. It will knock out the pain and infection.

        • U R IntheVillage April 29, 2024 at 1:30 pm #

Benr – you need a new dentist. I have root canals with 40+ years on them; no implants, no problems.

Considering that when they were put in (1980’s), they cost about $1800 (in then-current dollars), the price has come down quite a bit.

The $36,000 appendectomy is a different story. Cost shifting by the hospital, and absurd prices for equipment, facility fees, and disposables. The surgeon would be lucky to see $1000 of that. A good portion of the absurd cost of the equipment and disposables is from liability coverage. Thank the lawyers.

          • Cankerpuss April 29, 2024 at 1:44 pm #

Lawyers, a group of people, a profession, who produce absolutely nothing. Lawyers do nothing but take from society. They produce no material goods. They serve only themselves. The most despicable and evil profession known to mankind. Eternal leaches sucking the life blood out of everything they touch.

At least prostitutes give something in exchange for the money they take. Lawyers just suck it all up and give nothing back.

          • benr April 29, 2024 at 7:24 pm #

This is not just my experience it has been across most of the people I know.
I have only had one cavity in my entire life it wound up being a root canal and it lasted two years before it failed and had to be an emergency extraction.
It was so bad my blood pressure shot up 200/100 normally my blood pressure is 128/65.
By the way it is not normal for a “dentist’ to actually do root canals but an endodontist.

As far as the price of everything the government has not got its hands into dentistry nor insuring it which is surprising because bad teeth can be very lethal.

You are not clear about whether you mean “sustainable” in the individual financial, or the environmental, sense. These days the word mostly applies to the latter. If that’s what you imply, it seems to me you are using fashionable save-the-earth sloganeering to put down things you just don’t like. To wit:

          1. “Americans buy big homes they don’t need.” If they buy them, they believe they need them. If they didn’t need them, they wouldn’t buy them. And what’s wrong with “big homes”?

Ideally, a home should be more than shelter from the elements. It should meet the occupant’s psychological, even spiritual, needs. Who is to decide what size home is appropriate? A judge and jury? I’d say the buyer.

          2. “Americans buy fancy vehicles they don’t need. Does a pick up truck used to haul crap around really need to be a luxury vehicle … ?” You are again playing the sustainability card to demand others follow your value system. I myself wouldn’t dream of buying a luxurious pick-up truck. But I won’t insist that no one else can because of my preference.

          3. “Americans fund their lavish vacations on their credit card and are thus stuck with unsecured debt they can’t get out of.” Some do, although I believe most don’t. Either way, it’s a stretch to claim it has something to do with sustainability other than that of the individual’s finances.

          5. “Pornography is a billion dollar industry.” Yes, and it’s been around for a long time: wall paintings on brothel walls in Pompeii are examples. And it’s hardly an American phenomenon. Europeans and Japanese consume it by the carload. Most hard-core pornography is distasteful? Sure. But there’s nothing uniquely American or un-sustainable about it.

          9. “Apendectomies [that’s appendectomies] shouldn’t cost $36,000.00.” No, they shouldn’t. Our healthcare delivery system is messed up. It’s a social and political problem, not a question of sustainability.

It ought to go without saying that spending money one can’t afford is almost always a mistake. That’s an individual problem, and serious enough without dragging Mother Earth into it.

            Vegan
It takes a bit more than a comment on this worthy site of Mr Kunstler to explain the complexities involved. However….
The USD has been over-valued for more than 60 years. The US was broke when Nixon abandoned the Gold Window in 1971.
Since then the USA has run Current Account Deficits every year. This is ow reaching a crescendo.
Over-valuation of your currency means you favour consumption over production and over-consume. The result is debt, including debt to foreign.interests, on a massive scale.
So, it is nigh on impossible to say what consumption is sustainable when the basic economic settings are so monstrously screwed. Certainly, a lot of current consumption is not sustainable

            @ Vegan Shark:

I think Cankerpuss makes a good point about the “big homes.” Part of the reason–perhaps the main reason–why Americans buy big homes is because we have a monetary system that encourages bubbles and malinvestment. When people buy a house, they see the transaction more in terms of purchasing an investment, rather than just buying a home.

Many years ago, when we lived in Kansas City, Kansas, I remarked that I didn’t see why people didn’t buy the nice, comfortable old houses there, rather than spending several times as much to buy in Johnson County, Kansas (Snootyville).

The reply I got was, “Houses in KCK are not a good investment.”

Most of Cankerpuss’s other examples are just cases of imprudence. I think it’s reasonable to criticize imprudence.

I worked with a doctor who remarked that her electric bill was $800 one month. I was gobsmacked.

I asked who her electric company was, thinking they were for profit, but it was the same co-op that supplies my electricity.

My electric bill that same month was $80.

    Greetings,

Events are like a runaway truck with no brakes coming down a mountain. You can stop the truck if enough people throw themselves in front of it and sacrifice themselves. Or, you can stand clear of it if you know the path that the truck will take.

Resources and assets give you better odds of being out of the way as we saw during covid. Essential workers (whatever that means) who did not want to inject themselves with poison or breathe in their waste had to throw themselves in front of the truck. Those who had income put away couldn’t be forced to harm themselves.

I see a whole line of trucks without brakes coming my way but I’m not going to sacrifice myself for the people that threw me under the bus for a $600 check. I’m not going to sacrifice myself for the majority of Americans who wanted to put me in a camp. To Hell with them.

The future belongs to those who can build it and I’m letting the old world go and preparing for what comes next.

    • TPTB-USA April 29, 2024 at 10:13 am #

Do you have a vision for the future?

      • tuco22 April 29, 2024 at 10:14 am #

There is no future without God.

      • NickelthroweR April 29, 2024 at 10:35 am #

Kunstler is correct – small and local.

I’ve acquired electric tools to include an electric rototiller and I have the means to recharge these batteries. I have also put away rakes, shovels, pitchforks, hoes, etc.

I have stockpiled parts to convert things that run off of 120v to run off of solar 12v or 24v – about a million parts – transistors, voltage regulators, resistors, capacitors, etc.

When the grid goes down, all the silliness will go out of the window. No one is going to care about how woke you are but, instead, what skills you bring to the table. If you lack for skills or resources then you and your line will not go forward. A sad but true reality.

My take on things to come is that the world is going to get a lot smaller. It will be hard to know anything that is happening beyond your line of sight. That is my vision of the future.

          NickelthroweR,

First, why the big “R” on the end of your nom de plume?

I share your concerns for preparations. I’m hoping the changeover will be brief and lead to a world freed from …..that which oppressed us now and must not be named.

E – take a level teaspoon of powdered cayenne pepper, and a level teaspoon of powered garlic. Mix both in 8 oz., one cup of hot water. Stir until dissolved, let cool a little and drink.

Not only will you be pitching tents like days of old, but you’ll also be laying pipe like a 20-year-old.

At least this is what a guy told me.

Within the small and local system, I see networks of individuals, or cells, working together to offer and share unique skills and resources for the betterment of the group. In this system, freeloaders who can’t contribute will not survive. Just like old times. Very few of us can get by on our own.

          • Jarek April 29, 2024 at 12:33 pm #

“Cell” A fancy term to describe a “tribe.” What ezinmn is referring to is tribalism. Tribes are always warring against another tribe for their resources and territory. God I hope we don’t de-evolve into a state of tribalism.

CP – at heart, no one wants it, but it can’t be any other way.

Tribalism is global, always has been – wars for “resources and territory”, since time immemorial.

And you fail to realize that Trump sorry pathetic ass just did the same thing by signing that goddamn bill for more aid to Israel and Ukraine. People need to stop attacking Biden so much, he’s not the only one fucking up right now, they’re all guilty of doing this, especially selling us out.

        • TruthSeeker1986 April 29, 2024 at 11:17 am #

And when I say stop attacking him. I mean as in putting all the blame entirely on him when he’s getting a lot of help to do what he’s currently doing. He’s not making these decisions on his own. And since Trump chose to be a traitor. He can no longer run his damn mouth about Biden at all period.

          • tuco22 April 29, 2024 at 2:44 pm #

Minor point TS, he didn’t sign that bill he supported the money for Ukraine and everyone carried on as if he were the president and it was up to him, when they didn’t do what he wanted when he was the actual president.

Somehow people are focussing on Speaker Johnson, when Trump was pushing the idea of more money for Ukraine back in the beginning of February, and Lindsey was acting as his go-between.

          • abbybwood April 29, 2024 at 1:45 pm #

Trump insisted Zelensky only get a “loan”. 60% of the $61 billion goes straight to Boeing, Rockwell, TRW, Raytheon (Lloyd Austin’s group) etc. The rest Trump wanted as a “loan” so when it’s not paid back (and it never will be) then the US can strip Ukraine of assets like agricultural lands etc.

The only problem with Trump’s “thinking” is that by the time the war is over Russia will control every part of Ukraine save Kiev. Probably by the end of June “someone” (Zelensky’s term ends May 20 and since he cancelled elections….), will be on a ship in the Black Sea with maybe Lavrov signing unconditional surrender documents. Personally I think Blinken would be a good choice with Stoltenberg (NATO) as one of the witnesses.

4000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed just last week. 600,000 have died so far. Ukrainian soldiers, including the Right Sector (Nazi) brigades are surrendering or walking away.

The criminal part of all this is that US Intel and The State Department and every member of Congress knew this before the vote. Even Trump had to know it.

Congress members needed their campaign coffers swelled by the MIC with kickbacks. The corruption runs deep.

          • Beryl of Oyl April 29, 2024 at 2:28 pm #

Yes they all had to know. Those “loans” have been one of Ukraine’s biggest obstacles to becoming a “normal” country.

If I know that, they know it.

Yeah, I’m not defending Trump. At this point, there is no human politician that can help this country. We are held in the grip of evil men and women who’ve hijacked our government and are in the process of destroying everything this country ever stood for. In the name of democracy. Besides making us not only a laughingstock in the world but also an increasing liability politically, economically and socially.

Let’s get one thing clear about Obama. He has been a CIA asset since he was a baby. No guarantee he would be that useful, but it worked out. Bill Clinton was likely another asset from early on- and likely the bastard son of former Arkansas governor Winthrop Rockefeller.

  8. rudyspeaks April 29, 2024 at 10:23 am #

OK, not a “fact”, but a fervently held belief…ALL of this garbage flows from the Powell Memo, essentially, a counter-attack against the New Deal prosperity that Americans had no right to and, and, clearly, worried the bankers. Since its issuance in 1971 (& considered along with the 1973 Trilateral Commission article authored by Sam Huntington, the famous “Excess of Democracy” article), the bottom 90% of Americans’ have lost 20% of their share of the national income (52% in 1975 vs 42% now), plus has been subject to unavoidable outright HUSTLES (Pentagon fraud, “Higher” education inflation, “Health Care”) and a consistent “death of a thousand cuts” regime of daily monetary choices. Within 9 years they’d destroy the progressive taxation that I grew up with…every family in my town was a “one bread-winner”, moms at home, doing civic jobs (education, charity, town beautification). But no BILLIONAIRES! Or unpayable US government debt! Or debt-slave college grads. Or bridges collapsing. Why so little recognition about the link between the despair of spiraling debt and “deaths of despair”? Cities rot, suburbs decay…anyone notice the 1% have private jets and (vastly) increased wealth? The 50 Year Robbery of America’s Middle Class is the ONE STORY of our time. (the other stuff is just fall-out)

Agree, Rudy. The reforms of FDR in the 30s, including banking laws, progressive taxation, and a safety net for workers, were intolerable to our ruling overlords. They created a widespread prosperity, and they can’t stand that. Even if they were still filthy rich, they aren’t happy unless everyone else is poor, or one job away from poor.

The Empire Struck Back against the people of America, and they won.

But they ain’t done yet. They won’t be done until there is no wealth at all controlled by the workers, no functioning infrastructure, and no security at all.

      • Anthea May 1, 2024 at 9:28 am #

        @ Paula D:

Looking on the bright side, I think history shows that extreme centralization of wealth and power inevitably leads to collapse. It destroys productivity and innovation, and burns up a society’s wealth in non-productive and destructive enterprises.

In a way, it’s a self-limiting disease. The problem is that it’s a disease that can span centuries–or at least several human generations.

We just have the misfortune of living in an era of collapse. Seems like this should be followed by the Dark Ages, except that it looks like there will be places in the world where the lights will still be on.

I know many are still zombies attached to the propaganda of the US media but there are many who are awakened to what is going and are revolting against it. The leviathan is still powerful and is still wreaking havoc but it is dying. The US government apparatus is bankrupt. Broke. The 33 trillion dollar debt will never be repaid. Interest rates can never go back to zero. All we can do now is keep our heads down, keep our powder dry and try as hard as we can to weather the storm.

We must also try to help our fellow man when bad times come and they will come. I hope JHK is right and that everything will be all right in the long run.

          Canada. March 2023. 2.9 trillion. 117.2%

This is not a competition between phoney bologna fiat currencies, JAZ. They are all fiscal basket-cases.

The US is the worst of the bunch, however, because of its sheer size. For example, the Canadian dollar is completely irrelevant while the US dollar is the world’s reserve currency.

This is not a high school football game. This is impending global non-BRICS financial collapse.

The US is considered to be the world’s reserve currency. That means international trade between nations with different currencies is settled in US Dollars.

If faith in the full credit of the US Treasury to support the dollar weakens, then all bets are off. The service of current US debt is eating the US budget alive.

Others are stating to notice. The US Petro dollar has begun to be overshadowed by gold backed transactions.

The future looks extremely dim for US global financial interests unless there is a major change in US domestic and foreign financial policy.

In other words, change your policy or face financial suicide.

Seem likely? Not at the moment.

I don’t have much hope for this woke/broke/joke of a nation. Americans have long been lazy, stupid, and profoundly gullible. I used this to my advantage in school and in the workplace growing up, it is easy to do well if no one else is even trying. That said, we have now reached a point where people are being told to “eat bugs to save the environment”. . .and they honestly believe this and comply. A rational adult with a good IQ who has not given himself over to indoctrination immediately understands that 1) eating insects is disgusting, and unhealthy, and 2) pretending that your choice of food for dinner will somehow “save the environment” is insane. Normal, rational adults who have not been indoctrinated avoid doing things that are disgusting and insane. . .but, frankly, normal, rational adults who have not been indoctrinated are in short supply these days. This country’s gone. Pretending that some percent of the population that have a good IQ and aren’t indoctrinated will turn things around–10 percent of the population, maybe a little more, maybe a bit less–is insane. Honestly, trying to save the rotting corpse of the so-called “United States” is pretty much a waste of time and effort right now. Dangerous lunatics are running the asylum, take care of yourself and your loved ones, and stay out of the way of these greedy, mendacious monsters.

Rational adults who have not given themselves to indoctrination also immediately understands that Carbon Dioxide is not going to destroy us, that it makes up a very small part of the atmosphere and that it is in fact plant food. The more Carbon Dioxide is in the atmosphere the more food there is for plants and if the plants have more food that means plants produce more oxygen and more food for the people to eat. Smart people also understand that carbon is the building block of all organic matter. We are made of carbon. Lots of it.

Smart people also understand that every thing that comes across the media is designed to make people think a certain way and behave in a certain manner. These people long ago cut the cord or turned off the propaganda.

The United States is a dying monster. Its death will be hard for those who have swallowed the lies spread to them.

        • JohnAZ April 29, 2024 at 12:20 pm #

          • Cankerpuss April 29, 2024 at 1:03 pm #

We’ll have an election but it will be no different from the Venezuelan election that put Maduro back in power. I highly doubt the starving Venezuelans voted that scuzbag back into power. Elections are nothing more than a show. A show to make the zombie masses believe their 1 vote makes a difference, that their Government actually works for them.

There will be an election and it will transpire exactly as the PTB want it to. Trump, Biden, Newsome, Big Mike, Hillary, The Cackler, it doesn’t matter. None of it matters because we have a Congress that has abrogated it’s sovereignty and is now a completely useless and gutless political body.

        • Cankerpuss April 29, 2024 at 1:07 pm #

I doubt we’ll see a cession of states, Dilbert. The States now are so dependent upon the printed foney money doled out by the Fed that they can’t survive without it. My own state, a solidly red state, gets oodles of money from Uncle Sam.

Besides, political parties in the individual states can’t even come together to agree on anything because of, you know, Democrat vs Republican and Republican vs Democrat bullshit.

Sure, there are residents of those states who wish to secede but the governments of those states will never let it happen.

I believe a collapse will be just a lack of ability to govern anymore. The governed have already lost faith in the system. When the government loses the faith of the governed the government can no longer govern for the government derives its authority from the governed. When nobody listens to or obeys the government mandates, the government is a failed government.

They then resort to force to impose their will and that’s when the people rise up, storm the government buildings and string up the politicians.

A long hard objective look at the evidence, all the evidence, points to a collapse of the Earth’s magnetosphere. Such an event would be several orders of magnitude worse than a bit of sea level rise. Could that be why no one’s being told? Check it out and do yourself a favor.

        • Cankerpuss April 29, 2024 at 1:10 pm #

And what can we do to prevent a collapse of the magnetosphere? Absolutely nothing. Just like there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop the Earth’s climate from changing. I’ve also heard that there could be solar flares that will fry the Earth to a crisp and evaporate the oceans.

I choose not to worry about those kind of things. Whatever will happen will happen.

They do know, The magnetic N pole has moved from Canada hundreds of miles almost to Russia. There is a suspicious magnetic anomaly east of South Africa in the Atlantic where some think a new S pole will erupt.

Remember that the location of the magnetic field is due to the spin if the metallic outer and inner cores of the planet relative to the surface. So if the inside is spinning different to the outside. Wha’ happens? A very important potential change is the location of the Van Allen belts, IOW where the magnetic field situates itself. Imagine if the magnetic field directs the sun’s radiation into the middle of Russia or the USA, with all the auroras with it.

Ever see 2012? The earths surface shifted because the mantle melted removing the friction holding the surface in place.

      @Dilbert113

I don’t know Dil, there are a lot of Asians who eat bugs in Thailand, and Vietnam too. They have insect food stalls in some of those South East Asian countries and they’ve been doing this for decades long before Wef started talking about it. I watched a whole documentary on it. Some of them have even said that it’s editable, and not all of it is bad for your health. I don’t know if it’s true or not. I wouldn’t eat bugs myself unless I was starving and had no choice. But it is part of Asian culture and I’ve seen them even eating huge tarantula spiders as well.

That’s why they were able to blame the coof on “wet markets”, remember?

People like AOC threatened us not to make racist remarks against Chinese eating.

Personally I find some of the stuff they eat in Asian cultures disgusting and revolting.

I know someone who went to Viet Nam as a tourist not that long ago. She made the mistake of eating one thing that didn’t come out of a hotel kitchen, and became horribly ill.

In many Asian countries they eat living animals. Watched people eat octopus while it was still alive. Putting squirming tentacles into their mouths. Turned my stomach.

Many cultures eat grasshoppers. Just take their legs off and cook ’em a bit. Not too much!

As Lao Tzu said, Governing a nation is like cooking a small fish. It’s easy to do too much. But of course the people must be virtuous, and that means the leaders and the exemplars.

I have heard that locusts are quite nutritious. Deep fry them in oil and add some salt and they taste just like salted potato chips.

My question is why aren’t the PETA people angry about all of the innocent insects being eaten. Are they not animals? Do they not feel pain also?

Lobsters and King crab are considered high quality food and you’ll pay considerably for it. Just look at a lobster . 8-10 legs ,two long antennae, and ugly as shit. I call lobsters giant sea roaches and don’t much care for them. Probably the only animal that Westerners boil alive without a care. If a cockroach was 14 inches long I would bet the taste would be similar and people would be boiling them in the finest restaurants.

Kosher is the removal of blood and swine from any ingested food. At the time of the Mosaic law, both were where disease was introduced the most. I believe it was any cloven hooved animal.

Interesting, if you read the Mosaic law, much of it is aimed at hygienic practices including food. Sanitation made the Hebrews very prolific.

You should see how Koreans eat squid on the barbie.

It starts with a serious waitress standing over the table’s hibachi, holding a live squid in one hand (with tongs) and some very large, shiny scissors in the other.

If squid could scream, it would tear your heart out.

I once knew a jungle guide – the legendary Richard Fowler, my he rest in peace – who claimed that a certain kind of grub found in a certain kind of tree was the most delicious thing he ever ate. He told me that if I ate one, the first thing out of my mouth would be, “can I have another?!” We didn’t find any of those grubs on that expedition, but he did turn me on to some tasty lemon-flavored ants.

My favorite animals to eat are crustaceans, not too distant on the family tree from insects and spiders.

But… I don’t want anyone trying to tell me what to, or not to, eat. Nicole Kidman can sit down to a dinner of meal worms if she wants to – maybe that’s why Tom Cruise ditched her.

Thanks, TS, for pointing out the obvious- what humans eat is determined by their culture and upbringing.

When Dilbert confidently asserted….”A rational adult with a good IQ who has not given himself over to indoctrination immediately understands that 1) eating insects is disgusting, and unhealthy”
I just translated it in my head as….
“Dumbass American doesn’t realize that people around the world eat bugs without illness or dying, and he thinks that his upbringing was not indoctrination, and he thinks that his disgust with eating bugs makes him intelligent.”

I was just going to roll my eyes and scroll on, but you called him out, so I had to thank you.

I want to point out right off the bat that Lectern Guy went to prison for theft when all he did was relocate a piece of furniture, and the people who sent him to prison knew that.

RFK Junior recently made some reasonable comments about January 6, but then somebody jerked his leash and he walked them back.

What happens in the USA when the Uniparty captures total power, which may happen in November. What happens to us when the Feds have total control of our everyday lives? Will the Uniparty government become a subsidiary of the WEF?

Questions that may be answered PDQ.

There are three global power structures, The WEF, BRICS++ and the USA. The USA is in the way of both of the real global powers. The leadership of the USA is in the pocket of the WEF, many of our “academia”spend time with the boys in Davos every year planning the demise of our country. The Deep State is trying very hard this year to sell globalization to the masses here. With millions of the global masses coming here, it is getting easier and easier to sell, especially with the Deep State finding ways to give the vote to those masses.

So right now we have WEF getting the Feds to sell out our autonomy to George Soros and Klaus Schwab, ie the Rothschild army. Again.right now, they are being joined by BRICS++ in their desire to get the USA to become a third rate power, ie get the hell out of the way. One of the first targets is the last leftover of Bretton, the US Navy’s job of securing the sea lanes. Watch what whoever wins this fall does to the Navy.

So the USA folds? The WEF, representing a weakened West, will then try t overcome BRICS++, which may be BRICS++++++ by then. The blood of globalization will be in chaos as the petrodollar will be history. IMHO, BRICS++++++ will put the leaders of WEF in the ground. The WEF is nothing but a paper tiger, a bunch of eggheads that think they know it all and thus should be running everything. Hahahaha!

So-o-o, what are the three up to right now?

This is my opinion. The WEF, using their control of the USA Feds, is the enemy of BRICS++ in Ukraine. They are bleeding us dry, emasculating us, as they get the overpowered Ukes to fight their war for them. Z is right in there with them. The loss of the UKes will be a serious blow for the WEF, but they will tear down their first goal , the USA. Israel is another site of the three power battle. Here we have European descendent Israel fighting BRICS++ member Iran for control of the oil production in the ME and the sea lanes in and out. Note that Israel could are less about the oil control but represents the West against BRIC++. That is why the USA seems to be stuck twist and tween, Biden does not have a clue what to do, defend Israel or let BRICS++ have a free hand in the region. Watch the Navy, fifth fleet, for the shifts in power. Oh, yeah, watch the princes of Arabia, Yemen, UAE in their reaction to everything. They understand, along with the Israelis, they are the Ukes of the Middle East.

BRICS+++++ against the WEF down the road. The USA is going down under the pressure.

One major question though, does the USA have a Samson option? Or does it even care and will hand the keys to the country as they shut it down?

I wonder how many of these really dumb and ignorant students understand what the signs they are carrying mean? As they collect their Soros funded pay checks?

    • ezinmn April 29, 2024 at 12:15 pm #

Nice summation of things John. If the US has a populist uprising and gets control of the country, I could see that within 5-10 years, the US will re-align with Russia to take on the emerging China. Russia was forced into China’s arms for its own survival, but will resist being subservient to them.

Short of this, the Chinese most likely will rule the world for the next two centuries, with the WEF as a financier and the US as a vassal state.

      • JohnAZ April 29, 2024 at 2:43 pm #

        Thanks.

Paper tiger, fluttering in the wind, ezinmm: scmp headline screeches “Made in China 2025: China meets most targets in manufacturing plan, proving US tariffs and sanctions ineffective”.

The recent unpleasant appearance of the gnome Blinken, pleading with Xi one moment not to be so competitive and talking tough to the press the next, has underscored the paper tiger syndrome.

China is patient, China is smart. “Evil” only if you think looking out for your own welfare – as opposed to bending a knee to the historical adversary and oppressor – is wrong.

Just consider for a moment the personal history of the imperturbable Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party.

Bear with me as I paste the sorry story of a berserk generation and how it affected it current honcho (courtesy of Copilot):

        – Xi Jinping’s father, Xi Zhongxun, was a comrade of Chairman Mao and a member of the first generation of Chinese communist leaders. However, he was sensationally cast down as a traitor of communist ideals in the early 1960s, when Xi Jinping was just nine years old. He was removed from his position of vice-premier and sent to a sort of confinement in the party school. Eventually, he was given a small reprieve and given a job as a deputy manager of a tractor factory, before being kidnapped and sent to Xi’an during the Cultural Revolution.

        – As a result of his father’s fall from grace, Xi Jinping’s childhood changed dramatically. He was denounced while he was still a teenager. He was sent to the countryside to live in a cave as a teenager, which he often talks about as an experience that made him tough.

        – Xi Jinping’s sister, Xi Heping, committed suicide near the end of the Cultural Revolution, in 1975. It is said that President Xi cannot attend a family funeral, wedding or Spring Festival event without facing the absence of his oldest sister.

        – Another sister, Xi Qiaoqiao, was also sent to the countryside during the Cultural Revolution. The 5-yuan payment Qiaoqiao received for working in a corps with 500 other youths in Inner Mongolia made her feel rich, she recalled in an interview.

        – During the Cultural Revolution, Xi Jinping’s own mother denounced him.”

So imagine how effectively Antony Blinken, that slimy little deep state prick passing along dire threats from The Empire, is going to have Xi quaking in his boots.

Hmmm, I wonder what would be happening right now if the Palestinians had spent their monetary and human capital co-operating with Israel since 1948 instead of preparing for and declaring war on them over and over.

Israel no longer believes in the integrity of the Palestinian folks and will destroy their ability to make war, period. Whoever gets in the way will be exterminated. The Fourth Turning has arrived, the crisis is here. One side is going to exterminate the other, period. Regardless of whether everyone calls it genocide.

The indigenous Jews limited their contempt for their semitic cousins to spitting on them. (Something I saw video of them doing to Roumanian Christians on pilgrimage during a Holy Week).

It was the Balfour Declaration & the theft of land at gunpoint from its indigenous people & the influx of Ashkenazi/Khazarian Jewish converts in 1948 to create an artificial Israel that caused the problems, along with the ongoing refusal to create a Palestinian state.

Close your eyes and grit your teeth. Four more years! Let me tell you what he’s going to do: 1) switch us over to the digital dollar; 2) institute reparations for black people (after the census); how to pay for it? Who cares? Institute a dhimmi tax (that’s a tax non-Muslims pay to Muslims to allow them to live where they live), except in our case, it’ll be a “white tax” on being white. Will the lemmings care? No, they will not. 3) Denationalize Christmas as a national holiday, because, after all, we’re not a Christian country, anymore, and it’s not fayer to those non-Christians among us. So expect Christmas to be relegated to the status of Ramadan or Passover. 4) Elimination of the second amendment. They’ve been chomping at the bit for this for years, now, anyway. The only problem is how to do it. These things must be done delicately, or you hurt the spell. So, I predict the assassination (also a blood sacrifice) of a popular politician, since killings of the hoi polloi don’t garner that much attention. 5) Institute a draft and give de facto citizenship to those illegals who get sucked into our military to be slaughtered on the battlefield, because America’s armed forces are not combat ready, thereby killing two birds with one stone, so to speak: giving them coveted citizenship while eliminating them for future support consideration.

I do wonder why the pols don’t care about this. Then I looked up how much is in American retirement accounts. $38T of assets. So these aholes could seize it all and replace it with IOUs like they did social security. Then they would own everything and be happy. Instant China style communism.

      Reg,

There’s a big problem with selling everybody’s IRA in order to buy US Govt debt. When TPTB sell trillions in IRA’s invested in – oh say – equities or real estate – what happens to the prices of stocks and houses? Who will buy those assets? In a sell only market, prices drop like a rock.

Some of the dysfunction we are seeing in the West is a result of endeavors propagated by people in positions of power whose main focus is Climate Change. I’ve seen You tube videos made by UN representatives encouraging rapid de population, eliminating 5 billion people. I’ve seen Climate Change blamed on White People, Israel, Capitalism, and the western way of life. (All of which must be destroyed) Some are megela maniacs who want to blot out the sun, close baseload power plants, shut down oil companies, blow up pipelines, force people to eat insects, ban ICE automobiles & prosecute coal company executives. Others insist on de industrializing the World, yet by force of law put people into EVs, which are dangerous, prohibitively expensive and impractical. Nothing apparently is off limits, nothing is beyond the pale when you think you are on a sacred mission to save the earth.

The climate change effect is proof that science really does not know what it is talking about.

Also, that for every pro there is a con.

The Webb telescope is currently showing three generations of physicists that they do not know what the Eff they are talking about.

BRH’s visits to the shore show the same thing about the climate change theories.

The climate change globalist agenda is aimed at one thing, the collapse of the Western way of life.

          • Blackbird April 29, 2024 at 7:58 pm #

“Anthropogenic Climate Change” is not “science” talking, it is globalism talking.

The “98% of scientists agree that Anthropogenic Climate Change is real and the worst crisis mankind has ever faced!” is nonsense brought to you by the MSM and its owners.

That “98%” (actually 97.4% rounded up…) is based on a single survey sent to about 10,000 scientists, of whom about 3,000 responded, of which the opinions of only 78 (78 out of 10,000!) were considered. That is not even close to a statistically significant survey, that is cherry-picking or as the less educated would call it, “bullshit”.

“World without God”. I agree with this line of comments.

That said, you may NOT need another keyboard. I’ve noticed here, and in my e-mail, if I’m not alert, it seems letters get added or omitted.

I used to think it was me, as I’m not the best typist. But now, I think a lot of the time, it is NOT me, it’s the medium that is “self-correcting” or modifying.

        • Socrates-Detroit April 29, 2024 at 4:34 pm #

JohnAZ, sorry, but you are mistaken.

The US and the USSR BOTH voted in favor of the partition of Palestine.

Britain (who created the problem, by promising the same real estate to two different groups) abstained. LOL.

USA and USSR motivations were different.

There was some “logic” to the Soviet vote, I remember reading a long time ago, but I’ve forgotten.

I think the Soviets viewed the creation of an “adversary Israel” as a big window of opportunity for post-colonial Arab nations to become client states of the USSR, since the West would support Israel.

And if fact, Egypt, Syria, and Iraq DID become Soviet clients.

The US vote? Well, here is what Truman had to say

“The facts were that not only were there pressure movements around the United Nations unlike anything that had been seen there before, but that the White House, too, was subjected to a constant barrage. I do not think I ever had as much pressure and propaganda aimed at the White House as I had in this instance. The persistence of a few of the extreme Zionist leaders—actuated by political motives and engaging in political threats—disturbed and annoyed me.”

I was curious, and looked at Wiki to see who voted for what–a clear majority voted FOR Partition (aka, for the creation of Israel out of Palestine).

          33 FOR, 13 AGAINST, 10 ABSTAIN.

The only major Western country to NOT vote FOR was Britain. All the rest, and all the Soviet Bloc nations, voted FOR.

Most of the AGAINST were Arab nations, moslem nations, India and Pakistan (one of the few times they agreed on anything).

The ABSTAINS were mostly South America, “China” (aka Taiwan), Yugoslavia, and notably Britain.

And why was all this somehow the Palestinians’ place to lose their dreams and, instead, spend 3/4 of a century in an apartheid concentration camp? Now they have no place to go through no fault of their own miserable lives.

from the NY Post anent the coup to unseat Karine Jean Pierre!

While Jean-Pierre isn’t going anywhere, the issues that brought about Dunn’s failed machinations remain — with both sources saying the press secretary is too reliant on notes to provide the pushback and quick-thinking repartee needed to effectively champion Biden’s cause.

“Karine doesn’t have an understanding of the issues and she reads the book [binder] word-for-word,” said the second source, adding that the situation is made worse by the fact that “she thinks she’s doing an amazing job.”

“She doesn’t have a grasp of the issues and doesn’t spend the time to learn,” this person said.

“These issues are not second nature to people. Israel and Gaza is a perfect example. It’s very nuanced. Jen would have calls with people to feel well-versed enough to go to the briefing.”

“There’s an enormous amount of work that goes into getting ready,” the first source said, “and consistently she does not put in that level of work.”

In response, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates told The Post: “Not only are these claims wildly false, but the reality is the polar opposite. Karine was never approached by anyone with such a message. She spends four hours preparing every day. And neither Jeff nor Anita did any such thing; both have been unflinchingly supportive of her.”

Bates added Friday morning: “Every press secretary uses the binder. Why is she being singled out?”

Jarek: Is it because the little dummy is Black? The Binder is black too as Ber might say. Why shouldn’t she just read the right answer? At least she can read! What do these people expect?

She does look really dumb going through the binder to find the right answer. Bad optics for this amazing woman. She’s just not smart enough to know how dumb she is. But that doesn’t mean she’s not amazing. Pattern recognition has nothing to do with intelligence.

This is what corrupt law enforcement used to do to reach a quota for drug arrests, ship somebody some drugs.

“… what’s going on in our country is the collapse not just of an empire, or an economy, but a comprehensive paradigm of human progress.”

We humans were never guaranteed nothing-but-an upward slope to Paradise. Because we are a mix of good and the toxic, we always take one step forward but then we take one or two steps back. It’s that damn mix of good and not-so-good within us that dooms us to not progressing very far.

And some within our human ranks very much like their dark side and embrace that. And they become leaders among men-and-women.

“… Democratic Party has turned its traditional moral scaffold upside down and inside out.”

We are living in the post-political-party era. Both major political parties are useless and no longer serve any positive purpose in our World. These parties are in fact a part of the living embodiment of going two-steps-backward. A person is highly challenged to come up with one or two actually good things either of these institutional anachronisms have done since JFK was forcefully ushered off our Planet.

“As the sage Yogi Berra observed, our whole future is ahead of us.”

“All pitchers are liars or crybabies.” (One might observe that this greatly applies to other social professions and virtue-signallers as well).

“When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”

We’re all going to take that fork in the road… if the insane among us don’t obliterate that road before we can get there.

I wish we were “going medieval on ourselves.” My considered opinion is that ultimately we are dealing with an onslaught by the forces of evil, and that what in fact we are dealing with is a problem that is essentially spiritual in nature. The appropriate response comes under the heading of “spiritual warfare.” That modern man regards the spiritual as darkness and superstition is part of the problem, and not the solution. Mankind took a wrong turn at the so-called “enlightenment,” when man enthroned himself after deposing (in his own mind only, and not in reality) the Creator.

      • Paula D April 30, 2024 at 8:16 pm #

Their “solution” back then was arms control, which allowed them to go all over the USSR and bribe key officials into dissolving the Soviet Union.

        It worked.

        • Blackbird May 2, 2024 at 8:30 pm #

    Going medieval on ourselves.

IMHO, the earth will be able to sustain maybe half the current population if it goes medieval.

Medieval = no middle class, no service sector worth much. A few nobles and the rest serfs to work the land and pay taxes to the nobles.

Medieval = collapse of the cities, and their dependent populations.

Trump’s plan coming in in January of 2025 is to restart Schedule F, which provides him with executive powers over the administrative agencies. i.e. he’ll be able to fire the leaders of these agencies and eliminate some of the agencies altogether.

He’s also been recruiting an army of loyal workers to ensure he doesn’t get stabbed in the back by those he surrounded himself with during his first term (Project 2025).

I’ll be in Milwaukee this summer as a national delegate to cheer him on.

No he isn’t, not when he is Pro-Israel and currently supports warfare, to me that says he’ll do whatever they want. He’s no better than Biden at this point. I mean what’s he going to do, Tell Bibi to stop killing? Stop the inflow if illegals or make them all go back home?

The guy never even condemned the war, never apologized for the jabs either, didn’t try to help Snowden, etc. It’s beyond me why people still believe Trump is our best option when clearly he isn’t. None of them are.

        • ezinmn April 29, 2024 at 5:47 pm #

Well, we do have to choose one of them, and there’s no way in hell I’d ever vote for “Joe Biden”. Trump doesn’t support warfare. There were no wars started under his 4 years. Hamas made a choice also and they will get what they deserve; the nature of war. Trump had a solid plan to keep illegals in Mexico and it was working. Biden reversed this and here we are. Trump doesn’t care about getting rich being a politician. He’s standing in for the American people and the world for that matter. We aren’t going to listen to anything else – it’s Trump or we’re in big trouble.

The man think he is GOD “I am the only one who can stop World War III!” Lets see you tell Blinken to sit his stupid mentally challenged moronic ass down and stop trying to fuck with everybody then. OG – I’m speculating on his motives. No way does he want this war, in fact, he’s said he can settle it in 24 hours and I believe it. Seen any Biden folks over in Kiev meeting with the warring parties? Of course not. They want this war to continue to distract from their crimes and will ratchet it up. They don’t want peace, but Trump does. It’s complicated.

OMG Paula I agree, and the cultists are saying things like “he has to get elected” and also act as if this is all the Speaker’s fault, when Johnson did what Trump wanted, and what Trump was saying he wanted back in February.

    • Beryl of Oyl April 29, 2024 at 5:16 pm #

That was in response to a number of attacks on social media from Trump, including, incredibly, this one:

“I’d even take Biden over Junior’, because our Country would last a year or two longer prior to collapse – But it would be dead either way,” he wrote. “His Views on Vaccines are FAKE, as is everything else about his Candidacy. Let the Democrats have RFK Jr. They deserve him!”

He blames RFK Jr. for convincing Andrew Cuomo to ban fracking in NY.

That isn’t really true, because when you look closely at what happened, Andrew Cuomo kept dragging his feet as to whether or not he was going to say yes or no to fracking.

I talked to people in some of the environmental groups at the time, and they were all wondering what the holdup was in making the decision.

Two things happened before Andrew announced the ban. He won reelection, which means he got the votes he would have lost over the issue, and the other thing was what happened to the price of a barrel of oil.

Oil gets too cheap and the companies don’t want to frack anyway.

Pretty sure I have all this correct.

      • Paula D April 29, 2024 at 9:08 pm #

Yeah, fracking is a Wall Street scam, pretty much.

People who think that fracking is a long term solution are deluded.

    • C.O.Jones April 29, 2024 at 7:53 pm #

Agreed, OG! RFK JR would politely and diplomatically expose Trump for the deep state charlatan Trump is. That’s why Trump will never debate Bobby Kennedy…but I can hope.

Trump will be disarmed when bashing Kennedy as a gun-grabber. RFK JR is on record as saying he will defend the 2nd amendment. He was – understandably – not a firearms fan in his earlier days, but Kennedy has grown and evolved and stated as much. Same for the “carbon crisis.” As data and facts come to light, he has stated his zeal for environmentalism has not faded but has become more focused and he understands carbon is a building block of life. He would disarm Trump in that count, as well.

I would love to hear Trump defend the moves you listed and the fact that he printed more money than any administration in history. Reagan’s budget director eviscerates Trump’s economic policies and Kennedy would bring up the more salient points made by Stockman.

Trump twisted arms to get McCarthy the speakership and McCarthy promptly betrayed the party. So Trump doubled down with Johnson and Johnson thanked Trump by re-authorising warrantless spying via they FISA court – the very thing Trump whined about in 2017 and then approved in 2018. Trump is so stupid he complimented Johnson right before Johnson shivved him in the back.

I don’t think this is settled. The hidden hand has yet to deal a round. I don’t think Biden is going to make it to November. I am certain Trump would face verbal annihilation in a debate with Bobby Kennedy.

      • Beryl of Oyl April 30, 2024 at 1:32 pm #

He’s still not good on the 2A.

He keeps saying “I’m not coming for your guns” to which I say I should hope not, but to my knowledge he hasn’t walked back where he said he would sign legislation from Congress aimed at restricting our rights.

Then again, as I keep saying, Trump is also weak on the 2A.

Bobby is trying to get the topic on the causes of the mass shootings.

All well and good, but he also is talking about legal weed.

This is what I mean about missing out. People who supported legal weed are now saying it wasn’t such a good idea, and here is more and more evidence that weed is a big factor in the rise in violence.

Also trying to turn girls into boys. He is barking up the wrong tree with his concerns over SSRIs, IMO.

It has always been known that some people should not take them.

However, I believe the fact that they hand those drugs out like candy to any kid who shows sign of abnormal mental health is being mistaken as the CAUSE of the problems.

Think the Columbine shooters weren’t heavy into weed? Think again.

Then there is the “known wolf” factor.

It has always been extremely suspicious to me that the kids at Parkland called a hotline expressly for reporting threats of violence, and what they got was an anti-2A movement up an running amazingly fast right after the fact.

        • C.O.Jones April 30, 2024 at 7:56 pm #

Yes Beryl, Trump allowed the ban on bump stocks and advocated red flag laws, even saying something like “just take the guns and worry about the law later.”

The information that I’ve read indicates the common factors in school shooters are SSRI drugs and violent video games. Maybe there is a component to today’s weed that is a contributing factor…I don’t know – it’s been decades since I smoked any weed. What’s the old axiom? Give 4 guys all the alcohol they want and they will start a fight. Give 4 guys all the weed they want and they will start a band.

I have my trepidations about some of Bobby Kennedy’s positions but I don’t think he would be the same old crap. I honestly don’t think Trump could accomplish anything without being impeached every 15 minutes. That’s the same old crap in my book.

        • Paula D April 30, 2024 at 8:25 pm #

I think that the mass shootings are psy ops carried out by teams of shooters, and blamed on a patsy, usually one known to the authorities, and on drugs that addle their brains.

I distinctly remember watching a video where a teenager was interviewed who walked out of the high school next to the accused shooter, Nikolas Cruz, and said that she told him “If anyone was going to shoot up the school, I would have thought it would be you.”
But it clearly was not him, because the shooting was still going on as they walked out.
And witnesses said it was coming from different sites.

Same as Las Vegas, same as Aurora, same as Riverside. Witnesses see a team of shooters, who are dropped right down the Memory Hole, as the Official Story is rolled out, blaming one shooter.

Or two, in the case of Riverside. We are supposed to believe that a young Arab woman, who recently gave birth, and weighed about 90 lbs., dropped her newborn off at the relatives, strapped on a bunch of guns and ammo, and went off with her husband to his work to kill a bunch of people who had given her a baby shower.

          They think we are stupid.

We were told that people at the scene of the shooting saw three shooters.

Now we are told that there never was a third shooter.

          • Paula D May 2, 2024 at 11:05 am #

In Riverside witnesses saw three burly men, dressed in black, carrying long guns, getting out of a SUV, and going into the DHR.

Somehow the three burly men got transed into a 90 pound Arab woman and her husband.

The Mighty Wurlitzer has the greatest transing Super Powers of anyone.

          • Paula D May 2, 2024 at 11:08 am #

Remember at Parkland, where police were filmed chasing men through the woods?

Those shooters got transed into one father, who came to Parkland to bake Christmas cookies with the kids, and decided to come around the side of the school, instead of the front.

Really? And then what? Where was that imaginary father as the shootings were carried out?

Don’t ask questions! Being a “critical thinker” is a sign of white supremacist terrorism.

        • Paula D April 30, 2024 at 8:28 pm #

And yeah, we are supposed to believe that a small plucky group of teenagers, traumatized by the Parkland shooting, managed to organize multiple anti-gun events, all over the country?

They managed to get a permit for Washington, DC, (for an example), organized bands to play, got sound systems set up, put out publicity, and did the myriad other things needed to organize a massive demo?
          In a month?

          Please, bitchez.

RFK jr. wants to debate Trump using sign language?

Got that right! You can turn the sound all the way down for this one.

Then the men who announced that they hate his voice so they won’t vote for him might be mollified.

As a woman, it pisses me off when the men confidently assert that women vote on “nice hair”, although no woman here has ever said anything like that, but there have been men who said they wouldn’t vote for RFK, Jr. because of his voice.

But it’s not shallow when men do it, doncha know.

I would pay money to see the look on Trump’s face when RFK jr asks him if he’s not a swamp rat, why is his top advisor up to her neck in Pfizer?

While Kennedy lacks the huevos to call Trump a swamp rat, SOMEBODY has to expose Trump for what he is….

What I was implying is that apparently RFK jr doesn’t speak Spanish. If he did, he would understand that speaking “mano-a-mano” doesn’t make sense. Like most Norte Americanos, he apparently thinks “mano-a-mano” means “man-to-man”.

        • Paula D April 30, 2024 at 8:33 pm #

Yeah, technically it means hand to hand, but I looked it up and there is another meaning commonly used.

“Mano a mano is a Spanish phrase meaning “hand to hand” or “face to face”. It is used to describe a direct confrontation or conflict, especially in sports or politics.”

      @OG

Unfortunately, yes, here in the US, the Patriot Act (REPUBLICAN George Bush Jr, the former alcoholic) is the gift that keeps on giving.

However, you as a Canadian need to be careful criticizing the hypocrisy that IS the United States of America.

You see, I’ve been disgusted with a lot here in the big PX, for a long time. I thought of going into self-exile in Canada, like Americans did during Vietnam.

But even before Justin Trudeau force the vaccines, and harassed the truckers, freezing their bank accounts; even before the Federal and Provincial government harassed churches and mandated secularism; I had a chance (aka my job required me) to live and work in Canada, and it is much less of a free country than the US. Much more expensive. Canada is America Light–lower wages, higher withholding, higher sales tax, much higher real estate–and still many Canadians are focused on (trying to live like) Americans.

Other than higher level of hockey skill, or family or ancestral ties (and those are important), if one believes in the (British-derived!) concepts of liberty and justice for all, and I can tell you do, why would one choose to live in Canada?

YOU should live in exile in the US, if you can legally do so. You’ll find more like-minded people. Even here in Michigan, even in very tainted motor city.

And I need to find somewhere else to go into self-imposed exile….

I might say health care, but in collapse-mode sufficiently in-progress, I’m unsure how long that will last. I suppose the hospitals will be pirated for materials at some point.

      • OG April 29, 2024 at 5:42 pm #

Right. Please do not interpret my criticism of USA politics as any sort of holier-than-thou attitude. You have very accurately summarized the Canadian situation.

Canada is small potatoes and pretty much just along for the ride. Canada does what WEF/UK/USA tell us to do.

DC is the majors. The Show. Therefore, it is relevant and interesting.

The USA is “the thing light up on the hill.” Death to freedom in America is death to freedom.

Unsure the commenters can see Jim’s sample painting image above of the line of piles across the river upon which a bridge once crossed, but you could string a mesh from the shore to the first one and maybe across to a couple or three more and make hammocks to laze the summers away over the river.

    • Ron Anselmo April 29, 2024 at 4:39 pm #

      Great idea, Zazzy.

How about bunk hammocks? One over the other – look like there’s room.

      I call top!

      • The Man They Call Zazelle April 29, 2024 at 5:01 pm #

We could fish from the top meshes/hammocks and maybe place our stuff– tackleboxes, rods and picnic baskets, etc.– on the lower bunks.
The concern for the lower mesh. though, is their attachment.

Stringing the meshes over the piles, there’s no real need to attach them if they are one long mesh on top. They’d just fit over them like half a long sock.

But the bottom meshes? If you can string one long mesh (many long ones sewn together) over yet more piles, then you wouldn’t need lower bunks… Maybe unless more and more people of the town started noticing and wanted in.

        • The Man They Call Zazelle April 29, 2024 at 5:33 pm #

I suppose we could just wrap around each pile a rope connected to each hammock and if the rope is tight enough and the piles bumpy enough, friction and whatnot should be enough.

We had it coming ages ago if that’s to be.

Many bought into it, the coercive State system, never really seeing its fundamental butterfly effects flapping harmlessly around just behind the spooks behind the curtains.

    I never bought into it.

I went along for the ride, but always half-heartedly, like a ride others insisted I take and where I had few choices in the matter. My Gaia was carved up in to nation-States and run by pimps and players.

    There was no real escape.

And so I’m kind of smug in my resentment, about what’s left of the ride, with its degraded rails, rusted bolts and tattered seats.

Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, it made no difference. Just so much smoke and mirrors.

I saw it coming, from miles away.

And will clap sardonically when or as it crashes under, over and around us.

The Gaza anti-war protests seem to be getting quite a bit of press lately.

I support them of course, as I am opposed to the War ON Gaza, but I do have some reservations….

On the one hand, I think it is important and admirable that more and more people are getting out there and peacefully protesting (regardless of their motivations–some of them may want to cut class, or some are just looking for an outlet for their angst and their frustration).

On the other hand, either the press was not covering these college protests earlier, or, if they are fairly recent, they are crocodile tears.

They should have been happening last October, when after the first week it was CLEAR that the Israeli game plan was to kill as many Palestinians as necessary to motivate the survivors to leave; and as extra incentive, to largely destroy Gaza and make it uninhabitable.

Not many college protests then? Was it the weather?

I went to couple in 2023–many of the people there were Arabic. I had a hard time finding them this winter, but I will redouble my efforts.

    Still, better late than never.

And, I have to say, the demonstrators I admire most are American Jews who are protesting the Israeli slaughter on principle. God bless them!

I also note (and if I missed this, my apologies), but NO ONE here in CFN has commented on the EXCESSIVE, occasionally brutal, reaction of law enforcement against the Peace Protesters, whose protests are in fact, largely peaceful, compared to the timid response to violent demonstrators and REAL criminal acts (like murder, breaking and entering, theft, arson) in the summer of 2020.

Yeah, that Green Party (which I don’t support, but may reconsider) candidate, 71-year old Jill Stein, yeah, she’s a tough old broad, she had to be pummeled by the St. Louis police this weekend.

Yeah, it’s easy to get tough with a 71-year old white female. Pathetic!!!

Some officials are moving to “criminalize” anti-“War on Gaza” protests on the grounds they are anti-semitic.

Quite the double standard. It should be called out.

    • Socrates-Detroit April 29, 2024 at 5:11 pm #

Re: crocodile tears… what I meant was:

college kids had to wait until the six-month or 30,000 dead threshold was reached? They, PEOPLE in general, should’ve been out in FORCE by November 2023.

      Still, better late than never.

Gaza was a festering sore (in terms of peace and security in the Middle East). Now, thanks to massively disproportionate, criminal, Israeli war ON Gaze, it is like a big open wound in the chest cavity. If “they” (the PTB) couldn’t fix the old Israel/Palestine, good luck with the new one (in the event the Israelis are unable to remove the Palestinian people from Gaza; and if the Israelis do, again, good luck with stable peace in the mid-east…and the world).

Again, look at how tough, or even excessive, government and the talking heads are when it comes to peace protesters, or even anti-“War ON Gaza” protesters, compared to the summer 2020 protests, which feature many real crimes.

A lot of hypocrisy in the US government and media.

        • Socrates-Detroit April 29, 2024 at 7:22 pm #

          @TruthSeeker1986

It’s wearing you down, is it? Well, it bugs me too. I’m furious!

But our problems are very trivial.

We will have something to eat. Our home has not become a pile of rubble 5 miles away from where we are camped out. We have access to potable water. We’re not being bombed or shot. None of our loved ones have been killed or maimed. We can use a working toilet and aren’t surrounded by the stench of death and human waste–and probably a lot of flies. And we know where we will be going tomorrow, this weekend, next week, next month–pretty much.

And don’t even think about getting sick! If you have a chronic condition–well, too bad, it’s in God’s hands now. Forget your chemo, your physical therapy, your prescription refill.

Yes, I know. “Evil Hamas” started it*.

*Except Hamas did not start it*. The Israelis have been punishing the Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank since 1967! And the pace and degree of abuses has increased with each passing decade. And if you add the Palestinians who were expelled in 1948 (and many wound up in Gaza and the West Bank), well, you get the picture.

And finally, the slaves launched their version of the Tet Offensive (or Warsaw Uprising).

I will say that Hamas (probably) knew this would be the result. But the Palestinians are in a corner–continue to be slowly strangled or take the initiative and put Palestine back in the global news cycle. Two bad alternatives.

The enslaved are paying a big price for sure. However, whether Israel manages to remove the Palestinians from Gaza, or whether it is unable to do so, Israel and the US are going to pay a big price as well–in their coin. You’ll see. They both have it coming–and in some ways, the US has it coming more (Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Syria AND Palestine).

And you (and I) may look back wistfully at when we were just fed up or ticked off at event 5000 miles away…

          • Blackbird April 29, 2024 at 8:46 pm #

Sox, protesting against Israel is “anti-semitic!”. Get a clue or get a ticket – or worse yet a beating.

I can’t see how Hamas could have considered that their raid would result in anything other than what is happening. Therefore I have serious doubts that “Al-Aqsa Flood” had its genesis among the Palestinians. Reeks strongly of 9/11 to me.

I’ll wait here for my beating…

While the Palestinians claim that terrorism is a response to “occupation,” the fact is that Palestinian terrorism predates Israel’s presence in the territories. Numerous terrorist attacks murdered and maimed Israeli civilians during the two decades before 1967 (and even before the
establishment of the State of Israel in 1948). Therefore,
terrorism was and still is nothing less than a tool intended
to eventually bring about the destruction of Israel itself.

            Jan 1, 1952 – Jerusalem

My intuition is nagging me about this Israel-Palestine issue…

It is saying that, if Ukraine is not ‘let go’ of by USA/NATO/Etc., then neither will be Israel and so its war with Palestine/Hamas/Hezbollah/Etc., will continue until that time (if not longer).

So, IOW, Israel’s conclusion will only come, earliest, with Ukraine’s conclusion, not before.

And so, watch what happens to Ukraine to gauge what happens to Israel.

      • OG April 29, 2024 at 5:45 pm #

The difference, of course, is that DC runs Ukraine while Bibi runs DC.

I just got back from a video where it says 50% of the people want to get the hell out of the United States, they are just hardcore sick of it now. But there really is nowhere else to run off to, especially not in the West. You can go to Germany, Italy, Sweden, etc and you’ll just end up with the same shit, Governments all owned by someone else whether it’s Israel owning them or WEF/Globalist/UN….

Do you watch Jeff Berwick? Or Max Igan? They both believe that Mexico is about as good as it gets.

So, if Mexico so great, why do so many Mexicans seek to come to the US?

IMHO, Mexico (or Costa Rica or even Nicaragua now, or XYZ in Latin America) may be good if you are a wealthy American, in an area that is safe, where you can access your abundant American dollars. Perhaps you can live in a beautiful beachfront home, with a gardener and maid service to take care of it, with other like-minded ex-patriates.

But, if the dollar implodes? The world’s finances are very shaky, all this fiat currency. When you can’t access your dollars? Or perhaps, when the locals turn on you…

Well … first of all: I’m not making any claims. I’m playing middleman as I merely repeat what I have heard Jeff Berwick say on his videos.

Jeff Berwick is a wealthy Canadian with an online business that he can run from Mexico.

He claims that much, if not most, of Mexico is safe. He’s also immersed himself as he has married a Mexican woman and they have a little toddler together.

He’s prepping big time. He bought a ranch and has some livestock and many vegetable gardens.

He’s a big crypto guy so, presumedly, he’s diversified for if/when the dollar collapses. In fact, he believes that the coming currency crashes will hit USA and Canada far worse than it will Mexico.

He’s a pretty bright guy. He’s dealt with all of your concerns and, undoubtedly, many others..

He’s pretty entertaining, too. I highly recommend his Dollar Vigilante walk-and-talk videos.

That difference doesn’t seem to matter, at least in my intuition’s scenario.

Again, he says watch what happens to Ukraine to gauge what happens to Israel.

IOW, let go of Ukraine’s balls and we’ll let go of Israel’s.

It might be as simple as that.

“Meanwhile, prepare for action. It’s obvious that the enemies of the people don’t intend to rest.” ~ JHK

FWIW, Armstrong promotes getting out of cash:

“Europeans are much more familiar with canceling currency. Those governments are much more Marxist and have been canceling currencies routinely since WWII. What happens is you are forced to bring your cash in to swap it for the new version. In this case, it will be digital. What they are going to do is then look to see who accumulated that cash. If it is a large chunk, you may be taxed, and the burden will be on you to PROVE you paid the cash (tax?).

We are through the COVID crisis when it was wise to hold the case (cash?). Now, you do not want to hold cash into 2028. We are facing STAGFLATION, so inflation will rise faster than GDP. Thus, the purchasing power of cash will decline. Then, when they do the CBDC, which they plan to introduce as soon as January 2025, they will cancel all cash, force you to bring it to the bank, and report how much you had to the IRS.”

    Beware of 2025
    armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/taxes/beware-of-2025/

Could a mass movement in this regard cause bank runs (failures) prior to the implementation of a CBDC?

Could local bank failures usher in the era of CBDCs?

Is the nonsense and chaos a smokescreen to provide cover for the implementation of the Agenda?

“They have dishonored themselves and they’re trying to dishonor their country.” ~ JHK

We see it that way, but they don’t. They view themselves as problem solvers, and as Cloward & Piven concluded, deceit and civil unrest are the primary ingredients for their success.

    As JohnAZ puts it:

The US position is to be committed to the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda at home and abroad.

    * End poverty and hunger everywhere
    * Control inequalities within and among countries
    * To build peaceful, just and inclusive societies
    * To protect human rights and promote gender equality and the empowerment of women
    * To ensure the lasting protection of the planet and its natural resources.

    ****

The problem I have is the deceitful Marxist manner of implementation, based on cross their fingers hope for their end destination of utopia.

What happens if they are wrong?

If things go terribly wrong, perhaps they will have achieved their primary objective of saving the planet.

    • Grace April 29, 2024 at 7:27 pm #

“What happens if things go wrong?” Are we not better off to have tried to create a just and fair system, even if it is not fully realized?

How many deaths is acceptable to achieve the goal (or even a partial goal)?

And do you understand that not realizing the objective is still failure? That is why Klaus Schwab said “Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed.”.

Same as the vaccines, amiright? Millions of people involved in pushing them, injecting them, and monitoring their effects.

Someone involved would have talked, and then it would have been all over the evening news, and the Sunday morning talk shows. The news would talk about nothing else, and more and more whistle blowers would have come forward.

            Sure, dude.

Most of the people involved in the million dollar boondoggle worked on the logistics of missile production, or other things made for the scam. Like Tang. Someone involved in the production of Tang would have talked! If they didn’t, that proves that the astronauts flew to the moon in a Mylar-wrapped pipe tent.

      • Anthea April 30, 2024 at 11:54 pm #

        @ Grace:

The “tell,” when it comes to these supposed aspirations is that it has been clearly stated that the means by which they intend to achieve them are by depriving everyone of their basic human rights and–preferably–killing off most of us.

You have to look at the means they have proposed for creating this utopia. Plus the proposed utopia is one in which, “You will own nothing and be happy.” That means 15-minute cities in which you are not allowed to travel outside the 15-minute boundaries, total government dependency, no self-determination, and eating bugs and lab-grown meat. I think we can infer that it also means there will be no family formation, and there will be strong measures for discouraging people from having children.

So, to answer your question, what’s “WRONG” with the aspirational goals is that they are not the real goals at all. They are hype, intended to entice you to accept your total dehumanization.

  42. Grace April 29, 2024 at 7:20 pm #

@JHK – your twice-weekly rants are becoming more unhinged by the episode. You see doom and destruction just around every corner. Sure, it’s smart to be alert, but this is crazy-town.

What do you mean, the Democratic Party “has turned its traditional moral scaffold upside down and inside out.

The Dems have turned their “scaffolding upside down & inside out”? Surely you jest…what the GOP stood for all my life was justice, fairness, and a belief in law and order. Now, it has its candidate for POTUS arguing to the SCOTUS that he should be immune from prosecution for virtually ANYTHING he feels like doing, including subverting the Constitution and staging an actual Coup (next time, he won’t screw it up like 2021…)/ Which ‘party’ has lost its way, again?

See? None of that is, in actual fact, real or true. What this administration has done is bring working-class people back from the brink – real jobs, real wages, real American industry again.

I don’t know where your talking points are generated but you’re starting to sound like the Putin Wing of the GOP. this – “avid for war”? huh? You think letting Russia have its way will be good for global peace? You and those who agree with this are delusional.

“Deliberately stirring up racial hatred’? Evidence please…easy to state such a thing but I suspect the ‘racial hatred’ you’re imagining is the oppression of whites, particularly males and Trump supporters. Like I said, you’re imagining it.

“Rogue bureaucracy has become a Moloch” – more demon imagery. WTF? This is how a system works – wheels within wheels, people in DHSS delivering your Social Security check each month, and the people at NOAA measuring the weather so you can have a reliable report from ‘Accuweather’? How are these guys ‘evil’?

The Administration has NOT ‘aligned itself with a faction that seeks to exterminate the Jews’. What manner of bullshit is this? Who is funding Israel militarily – STILL? Despite the apparent genocide of the Palestinians?

When all you see around you is evil and demonic people and processes, you’ve lost touch with reality. Or perhaps you’re just “performance arting” for your base…feeding them the raw meat.

Yeah, it’s been nice knowing y’all.

Engineers at the Pentagon have cooked up quite a beast. A DARPA robot tank is a self-driving vehicle that has been engineered as part of DARPA’s RACER (Robotic Autonomy in Complex Environments with Resiliency) program, and it is quite formidable.

The 20-foot tank is able to bound across off-road terrain as if it were a sports car on asphalt, and it doesn’t require any human input to get it where it’s going. One of the most recent tests saw the RACER Heavy Platform (RHP) autonomous tank tearing through the rugged terrain of a military training ground out in Texas.

It’s an iconic time for the DARPA robot tank, as it probes that the tank is capable of traveling 30 miles along a route at a cruising speed of 25 miles per hour. That might not sound that exciting, but considering the terrain it was ripping through, it is actually really impressive.

Video of the tank roaring through various terrain, such as heavy vegetation, ditches, and even rocky outcroppings, showcases that the autonomous tank is moving in the right direction for what DARPA is trying to accomplish.

Of course, like any AI-powered vehicle, DARPA’s robot tank will undoubtedly inspire some raised concerns about how AI could exterminate humanity. Something that isn’t likely to be tempered any by the tank’s design, either, which features two glowing green eyes. They appear a bit quirky at times, but the agency told Gizmodo that they are simply status indicators for the vehicle.

The RACER tank weighs roughly 12 tons and is designed to support other members of DARPA’s RACER fleet. Those vehicles more resemble self-driving ATVs, though, than full-fledged tanks, so it will be interesting to see how DARPA plans to put this vehicle to use going forward.

It was always only a matter of time before more autonomous vehicles made their way into the world, and DARPA’s robot tank seems like a logical next step for the agency, which has been working on RACER vehicles since 2004 and which recently debuted its Manta Ray underwater drone. Of course, we’re still a long way from any of these vehicles actually being released into the world.

Where do we get the money for gas?

      With a big club?

      • benr April 29, 2024 at 8:58 pm #

Thats ez biodiesel or ersatz gasoline – synthetic fuel manufactured from coal.
We have enough coal to last hundreds of years.

Toyota is leaps and bounds ahead on developing Hydrogen fuels.
Far enough ahead for it to be actually viable.

        • JohnAZ April 29, 2024 at 9:17 pm #

          Benr

Hydrogen is harder to deal with than EVs. JHK talked about hydrogen problems in TLE. Basically, it will take more maintenance than the average American is capable of handling.

Leaks? Think Hindenburg. You think the Pinto and Corsair were dangerous. Wait until the first collisions with Hydrogen.

Yet when enough money is spent on r&d eventually they figure it out.

Fuel from water the biggest issue is return on energy spent to create the fuel is much less than generated by the process.

          Careful, Benr.

That sounds like some wild “Cornucopian” conspiracy theory. Technology aiding in development of alternative fuels for ICEs?

No doubt one of our wise “limits to growth” types will be along soon enough to make you repent for this heresey.

            @ Night Owl:

Truth be told, I think we already have the technology to maintain first-world lifestyles. I sometimes wonder if first-world lifestyles are always and everywhere desirable, but I guess that’s a separate issue.

I get the “limits to growth” proponents, just because, at a certain visceral level, so many things about our modern high-tech “civilization” seem like monstrously bad ideas. For starters, it’s both uncivil and ugly. It also seems like one of the main features of great wealth in a society is that it really fattens the tapeworms. The less affluent societies of the past certainly had their share of “elite” parasites, but apparently there wasn’t enough surplus wealth to allow the ticks to grow bigger than the dog they’re feeding on.

The parasites are more horrifying, too. In Pride and Prejudice, the worst vice of the elites was petty snobbishness–and they at least had the decency spend their money on things like the Elgin Marbles, fine paintings, and nice digs. Nowadays they spend their money on coke and ho’s.

I think the “limits to growth” crowd are responding–with justifiable horror–to the very considerable negatives of our modern civilization.

The thing is, it, and we, are not bad because of the electric hair-dryer–or the electric range, the fridge, the running water, or the indoor plumbing. We could, be rich and, at the same time, be civil, literate, just, honest, and partakers of the beauties of civilization.

      • JohnAZ April 29, 2024 at 9:14 pm #

Not to worry, Biden’s mob is going to make an electric army and navy.

        Aren’t they?

I want to create a company making extension cords.

May I have the monopoly on the space vehicle cords?

“And now, rather suddenly, [the Democrat party] aligns itself with a faction that seeks to exterminate the Jews.”

    lolwut?

The Neocon-Democrat-run empire is busy arresting and expelling the few college students that have the temerity to meekly suggest, “hey, maybe we shouldn’t be supporting an apartheid state wholesale exterminating every human being in Gaza.”

No, the empire fully supports Israel. Not sure what planet JHK got this idea from.

The genocide will continue until the Fourth Turning crisis has passed. If the Palestinians, mostly Hamas, want to commit Jihad and get their virgins, Israel will be glad to finish them off until they say “Uncle” and mean it.

If they are apartheid, how come 26% of the population of Israel is Arab.

      • TruthSeeker1986 April 29, 2024 at 11:10 pm #

        @JohnAZ

You talk like ISrael is “tough” Israel isn’t tough, they are only acting tough because of the United States. It’s easy to flex on someone when you have a country like America protecting your sorry ass. If it wasn’t for the U.S. Israel would get fucked up. They can’t do shit without the United States. That’s the whole reason Netyhan ignorant ass keeps trying to drag the U.S into a war, he can’t do it on his own so he need to get our people killed. Fuck that guy.

      • OG April 29, 2024 at 11:18 pm #

        The genocide will continue

Good to see that we agree on what it is.

Genocide is a war crime punishable by death, fyi.

If they are apartheid, how come 26% of the population of Israel is Arab.

That is no defence, JAZ. That’s akin to saying:

“If I rob banks, how come that bank hasn’t been robbed?”
