Victim Airlifted After Assault At Local Motel: Plumstead Police
The arrest came after Plumstead Township police officers responded to the Colonial Village Motel for a domestic incident.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 36-year-old Philadelphia man faces felony assault charges following a domestic incident at a motel room in Plumstead Township.
Police responded to the Colonial Village Motel on North Easton Road for a domestic incident around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers learned that Claudio Hernandez punched a woman in the head and slashed her several times with a broken beer bottle, police said. Hernandez then fled back into the motel room where he was taken into custody by responding officers, authorities said.

The victim was flown to Temple University Hospital with several lacerations to her head and chest, according to police.
Hernandez was charged with two counts of felony assault and arraigned by District Judge Gary Gambardella, who set bail at 10 percent of $450,000.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for June 3.
