Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff were friendly at every turn, welcomed us at check in with warm cookies! Offers of assistance with a smile at every turn. All charges were laid of clearly at check in and we were quickly on our way.

Breakfast at Buchanans was divine! Quick and efficient service! My daughter raved about their french toast! And the country omelette was loaded full!

The pool was immaculately clean and the whirlpool was good and hot! Enjoyed that there was an adult's only section to the pool as well, and that heated tile floor, brilliant!!!!

Highly recommend!

Tourist beware

We came here as tourist from Washington DC and we’re excited! We have never been to Canada and have scored a great hotel deal! We were both eager to arrive since we saw the reviews and the spa looked amazing. However when we checked in the French girl started addressing so many new fees that we weren’t used to back in the USA. They charged several different fees raging from parking fees, reservation fees, only $10 food/beverage discounts (where as we get a lot more back in the states), sales tax fees, dmdf fees, along with other fees that we don’t understand. The French lady had an attitude with us that we even had to call the manager because she seemed bothered that we didn’t know anything. We were both diamond members but we felt like we weren’t welcomed here. The good review was that the bartenders and the spas were amazing, everything else we felt ripped off, we won’t return again to this hotel unfortunately.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We apologize for any poor impressions made by our team, certainly never our intention. We are sorry to hear those additional fees and taxes came as a surprise to you as the DMDF amount and all taxes are included in the amount given as the total cost for the stay. After booking your reservation, you would have received an email with the total cost for your stay. We understand your frustration as a valued Diamond member in regard to the Hilton Breakfast program, our hotel provides a $10 voucher per person, per day, up to two people. You are correct, the value in the US is $15, a value for Canada is still being determined. In short, the value is based on what is the cost to purchase a continental breakfast in the hotel. Off our restaurant menu we offer five options in the Bakery/Cereal/Fruit & Yogurt section which range from $6.00 to $7.50, and then coffee or tea is $2.75. An increase is under consideration. Or the $10 can be applied towards a full hot breakfast which ranges from $10.50 - $12.50 plus beverage(s). One benefit of the dollar value which is well received is that it can be used towards any food & beverage purchase at any outlet at the hotel, including the lobby bar/Starbucks which offers a wider variety of continental items at a lower cost. We understand you have a choice when travelling and do hope you will reconsider using Hilton when next travelling to Canada.

Beautiful hotel

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We had a wonderful view of the American Falls from our room and could walk anywhere we wanted to go. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and art gallery are both great amenities. The room marked “library” is a conference room (sadly, not actually a library!).

Winter Ambience Comfortable stay

This hotel is very centrally located in NF. Plenty of parking and easy roads. Weather wasnt the best so we spent lot of time inside the hotel. Wood and brick lodge ambience is intriguing with the snow to add on. Slept well. Noice level was low. Pleasant helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay

Do not come here if you are a Gold or Diamond member!

Hotel is fine. Average. The hotel however only provides a meagre $10 food and beverage credit per day per person for a maximum of 2 room guests. The program conditions on the Hilton Honors website clearly stipulate that Gold/Diamond members outside continental USA are entitled to continental breakfast. It even says it on the booking app. Even in the USA were Hilton has moved to a voucher system, the f&b amounts are $15-18 USD per day. Please keep this is mind before staying here. I will be staying at another property next time I visit the Niagara area

Your wilderness lodge ambience hotel in a city

Doubletree Hilton Niagara never fail our expectations of being in a cabin-like wilderness lodge-like hotel. Add to that the friendliness and highly responsive staff to all my messages.
All that needs is a much better high definition TV :)

Room tip: Choose higher rooms at the south area (room #s closer to 1) to enjoy the Niagara Falls view
