The DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton - Niagara Falls comes highly recommended for its variety of amenities, such as the pristine pools and spa, complemented by on-site dining options, although there is room for enhancement. Guests frequently commend the spacious and clean rooms, especially those with impressive views. While the hotel's cleanliness receives accolades, isolated incidents of uncleanliness have been mentioned. Its location is appreciated for convenience and proximity to Niagara Falls, despite a challenging hill. The service is generally celebrated for staff cordiality, but some guests have encountered service inconsistencies. Lastly, the inviting atmosphere with a chalet-like warmth adds to the positive experience.

Whenever we went to Niagara Falls this was our Go-To" place. The hotel was always clean, the staff excellent. Not sure what happened in Covid, perhaps they forgot how to "Hotel".
We arrived, admittedly we were a little early (~30 mins) and our room was not ready, we were told "it will be 20 minutes or so." so we went for a drive and returned 30 mins later.
Going to the room we noted the "Room certified as clean" seals on the doors. At our door, there was no sticker. I asked the woman who was cleaning if our room was finished ans were told "Yes, the supervisor had not inspected it yet." Down to the lobby to the front desk. "Yes, the manager will be right up to inspect." Back at the room the manager finally arrived and did his inspection. He cleaned the handle while we watched and then walked away. We entered the room and found dirty towels on the floor, the bed unmade and having dirty sheets. I got him back and he said "Oh, those are not yours?" to the people standing there with their luggage in their hands.
Back down to the front desk. Loads of apologies and a different room that "Was very clean, oh and here is a free breakfast for you."
Back to the room and after a quick look around finding no glaring issues we went out. Arriving back at our room much later we were looking out the window when I spotted a cookie on the floor, then a pretzel beside the bed stand. Obviously cleaning did not involve vacuuming.
Checking the website I saw that often touched surfaces were cleaned every hour, well, no they are not. I doubt they were cleaned the whole time I was at the hotel, judging by the dirty hand prints on everything.
Head office better get in there and ensure this hotel is doing as they are told. Obviously something is missing.

We apologize again for the situation you encountered during your recent visit. Upon investigation we did discover a glitch that happened with the front desk and the original room you were assigned. There was a change made to that room by the Front Desk and unfortunately, housekeeping was not informed. The Room Attendant was correct in confirming that the room was cleaned however, she did not know about the change in room assignments. We are truly sorry that you experienced this confusion. We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and as a repeat guest you are familiar with our higher standards. It appears we have failed you on your recent visit and we apologize again. This past Saturday was extremely busy in the entire area and hotels have been overwhelmed with the turn over and new Covid-19 protocols. Our management team has been working with all team members during this transition and have received many positive comments. Management had forwarded your original concerns to our Executive Housekeeper as you had reported the incident while you were staying with us. We have also forwarded your additional comments through social media. Unfortunately, we were not aware that there was another issue with the second room as it was not reported at the time. We truly hope you will visit us again and give us a chance to restore your faith in us. We are so sorry for the confusion.

Great place to stay with convenient access to Clifton Park, the Falls, and casinos. Room was very spacious with two queen beds, sofa, large windows, desk, etc. Nice feature of the room were screened fresh air vents located at the base of each window that could be opened when weather permitted. As a fan of fresh air, I love this feature. The hotel includes a spa and salon, an indoor pool, whirlpool, Starbucks, lobby bar and a nice steak restaurant on the second floor. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and features reasonably priced choices of meals (sandwiches and full entrees.) Staff was friendly and very accommodating, I originally thought I had left my contact lens case at home and the front desk called around to several stores in the area to check for me. I thought that was above and beyond since I didn't have to waste time walking to random stores. Also, surprising enough, as large as the building is, the elevators were very fast. Seldom had to wait more than a minute.

We checked into the double tree for a short family vacation on Thursday Aug 20th, 2020 (For a 2 night stay). We have stayed in many hotels in the Niagara area and this was by far the worst. When we checked into our room it stank like cigerettes, my wife is pregnant and we have a small child, we immediately called and asked them to move us. We were asked to wait in our room and someone would bring us keys for our new room. The smell was so bad that we ended up waiting in the hallway for a half hour for our new keys. We went up to our new room and everything seemed fine. The next day I was looking for our son's socks and looked under the bed and found what appeared to be a rotting vegetable. I looked under the second bed and was in disbelief, there was a used condom swept under the bed. My wife threw up when I told her!
This is extremely disturbing, we immediately reported it to the front desk who reported the issue to management. The manager offered us a free breakfast or 40$ off. A free breakfast?!? as if we would want to eat at all after what we had just witnessed?! We took the petty cash discount the manager provided us but were extremely upset.
We went out for a walk hoping to come back to a cleaner room and when I looked under the bed again there were still crumbs but both the rotting vegetable and condom were gone.
At this point we were through complaining as it didn't get us anywhere with either incident. No amount of money the hotel could offer us would take the disgust out of our mouth let alone the 40$ discount. This is not acceptable at any time, but I would expect hotels of this caliber to be doing a better job cleaning especially during COVID!. This has really tainted our experience with Hilton Hotels.

We regret to learn of the issues you encountered with the items found under the bed and the smoke smell in the first room. Our sincerest apologies. It was never our intent to fail you. The hotel is 100% smoke free and each guest signs an acknowledgement upon arrival that they will be charged $250 if any evidence of smoking or vaping is found in the guestroom. Unfortunately, we cannot locate the smokers until checkout when housekeeping enters the room. We completely understand your frustration with the items found under the bed in the second room. The Executive Housekeeper is investigating internally to prevent future re-occurrence. The manager offered the discount as it was 50% off the first night which we understood was the concern. We were not made aware of any further issues and were under the impression that our housekeeping team corrected the problem. Again, our deepest apologies as we did not know there was still an issue. Your comments will be used to create better systems for service and standards. We take this seriously and sincerely thank you for bringing the matter to our attention. We hope you will give us another chance in the future.

It was hard to find hotels with hot tubs that are open due to covid. This hotel has struck a safe and practical solution that works with the 30 minute reservation system and the limit of 1 family in the hot tub at a time. We did so many fun things on this trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls but the best, most rejuvenating part for me was actually the quiet, peaceful time at the Doubletree Niagara pool. The Frank Lloyd Write inspired architecture is soooo beautiful. There is a deep adult pool, a regular pool, an indoor hot tub, an outdoor hot tub and patio area. It is an oasis.
The hotel was calm in comparison with the rest of Niagara Falls. The restaurant was attractive and reasonably priced for breakfast. We saw long lines of people lining up on the street for what I know is lower quality breakfast elsewhere.
The location is good. You can walk to Clifton Hill in 15-20 minutes and is a shorter, nice walk down to the falls. This is the first time we have stayed in a non-fallsview hotel and it met our needs for this trip. My comparison is Marriott Fallsview hotel (falls view room) and Embassy Suites hotel (falls view room). Here, we had a view of the river that was worth positioning the chair next to the window for viewing while leisurely drinking coffee. You avoid the Fallsview hotel surcharge. I really loved the architecture and vibe of this hotel. It is a great choice if you want to be close to, but not directly in, the action. I am very picky about hotel pools and this may be my new top hotel pool in a non-tropical resort destination. There is also a sauna,.
The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced.
The service was friendly and responsible.
The parking was easy, though a bit expensive ($20) for the location) . Lots of luggage carts available. and no problem with the elevators despite covid limits.

We stayed here just as Niagara Falls was entering Phase II of re-opening. The hotel was great with their COVID protocol.

The pool opened during our stay, but we didn’t use it. It looks like a lovely pool.

Our room was nice and quiet. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was a good size with a separate jacuzzi tub.

There was no cleaning service provided during our 3 night stay (which was fine with us). They did provide a bag of amenities everyday (without us asking). The bag had clean towels, extra toiletries and tea and coffee. This daily bag hanging on our door knob was greatly appreciated.

We parked onsite for $20/night. Much cheaper than the hotels closer to the Falls. Nice big, clean parking lot.

We enjoyed drinks on the patio. Great bar staff - made local recommendations for drink selections.

Will definitely visit this hotel again!

Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you for referencing the cleanliness, comfortable beds, great bar staff and convenient reasonable parking. Just a quick note on the jacuzzi in the bathroom. We removed the jacuzzi tubs and replaced with oversized, deep, elegant soaker tubs. We are so happy to see you enjoyed the newly renovated room. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and look forward to your next stay.

Booked this hotel as I wanted a hotel with a spa for Valentines day weekend this month. I arrived on Thu and booked 2 nights as I wanted to leave Sat morning. I am not big on crowds and seeing that this was Family weekend (holiday) as well, I knew the place would be packed. I have stayed at one of their properties before and I was looking forward to the warm cookie. It didn't disappoint and I got 2 ;).

The room had 2 queen beds that were super comfy. Loved the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. I have nothing bad to say about the room.

I didn't check out the amenities much as I was in the mood to rest and relax. I booked a 2 hour spa package at the Aveda spa and I enjoyed every minute of it!! My esthetician Amara did an amazing job. I floated out of the spa.

I also enjoyed a nice steak dinner at Buchanan's the Thu night. The sticky toffee creme brulee is a must try!!

Overal it was a fabulous stay. Because it is a tourist spot, the room is a bit on the high side but I was ok with that. Didn't like that there was no free parking. Parking was $20 per day!! And the Starbucks coffee in the lobby was expensive. And this is coming from someone who lives in Toronto. There was a coffee maker in the room and the coffee was delicious but there was no hot water available for tea.

Clifton hill, Fallsview casino and Casino Niagara are about a less than 10 min walk away. I didn't get to walk to the Falls as it was -22C for most of the day Friday. This is a great hotel if you want to be away from the tourists and walk to attractions.

We travel to Niagara Falls on a fairly regular basis and over the last few years the Doubletree has been our go to hotel – rooms are dated but a reasonable balance of price, location, parking.
This trip was different – for reasons unknown check in took 35 minutes – I had a printed copy of the reservation but still the staff member repeatedly checked the computer, consulted with a colleague behind the scenes. At the 20minute mark I joked that maybe they were having difficulty finding us an upgrade and received a hostile “no chance” from the mystery person behind the scene. At 35 minutes the key was produced with no apology or explanation for the delay.
Our next drama was entirely our own fault – ironed a pair of pants, hung them in the closet and forgot them. Called the next day and after several tries ended up talking to the housekeeping manager who was not in the slightest bit interested – claimed that her staff would not overlook something in the closet and would not take them – leaving the only option that we somehow made the story up! Not interested in having a staff person double check the room or look around to see if they were placed somewhere else.
Tourists have returned in full force to Niagara Falls and prices have taken a significant jump while service in many places – particularly this hotel – has nosedived.
We wont be back.

This is my wife and I second time staying here with in the past 2 years. We were staying for a little 2 night couple’s vacation at the hotel, we decided to stay at the hotel for a second year in a row because we had such a good experience the first time staying. Both stays at the hotel we have had no issues, the service and the cleanliness of the hotel are very good, ordered room service one morning for breakfast and was surprised at how good the food was and good potion size. House keeping was on top of all of our needs as requested, but also know house keeping will not do daily checks due to certain restrictions anymore so if something is needed you will need to make that request. The hotel also has a nice little Starbucks in the lobby for those who enjoy they’re morning coffee. The hotel also has a nice pool and hot tub inside but unfortunately did not get to use those facilities but did look very nice. I found the location of the hotel is great because you are right in between the older downtown section and the newer section of the falls depending on what your plans are or were ever you are looking to explore it is very convenient walking distance. We were there to do a wine tour with Brewery & distillery tours niagara which also was a great time pick up and drop off right at the hotel as part of the tour package. Weather on a family trip or small getaway couples getaway will definitely stay the Doubletree again.

This hotel was truly a great option. The room was spacious, clean, and had a river view that you could see the falls from. The lobby, pool and hot tub were enjoyable to use. The location was not the best nor the worst beecause the hotel was located within walking distance between Fallsview Casino and Clifton Hill. The best perk we had was the free parking becaasuse of the accessible permit. i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel itself when you walk in is quite pretty. Looks like a Chalet. The rooms however are so old and worn out looking. The bed was comfortable though. The bathrooms are really small and kind of dingy looking. Our television was not working properly and we actually had no converter in the room. I went to put our passports in the safe but, it was not working. Twenty dollars a day to park when you paid almost $500.00 for a room for one night stay is unfair. We have stayed here a few times but, really the rooms are so worn out looking that next time we our going to try somewhere else.

We regret to learn of your disappointment and thank you for feedback. We are continually upgrading our property and the guestrooms have already received numerous upgrades. The carpets, beds, linens, drapes, artwork, alarm clocks, chairs, couches and lamps are all newer. Our most recent project begins next week and will consist of new showers in all king suites, replacement of Jacuzzi tubs with soaker tubs, and many other upgrades. We completely understand your frustration with parking charges however, we are the lowest in the area. Parking charges in Niagara Falls are now between $40 - $90 per day at the area hotels. Hotels even charge for parking away from the Fallsview area. We do not allow outside vehicles to park in the hotel lot, as our parking is strictly for our hotel guests. We do hope you will visit us again in the future to see our upgraded facilities.

Hello. If you are referencing the VIA Rail station in Niagara Falls, Ontario - Canadian side, that would be about a 12 minute taxi ride, cost would be about $15 or so. The official Amtrack Station is on the American Side. I would suggest google maps - with the station exact address to confirm what side of the border. If it is in the USA, I would suggest a taxi to the Rainbow Bridge and then walking across and taxi to the hotel. Less than $10 once you arrive into Canada.
