TV personality Dr. Drew tests positive for COVID —after downplaying it

Dr. Drew Pinsky, who downplayed the dangers of coronavirus early in the pandemic before apologizing, said Tuesday that he has tested positive for the virus.

In an Instagram video, the TV personality said he has been sick over the past week and isolated in his home. He said he tested positive on the fifth day of his illness.

“COVID’s no fun — I don’t recommend it,” Pinsky, 62, said in the clip. He added that he was feeling better but that his stamina was depleted.

He is recovering at home in California.
