Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry On New List Of 'Best Places To Live In 2017'

20 Hudson Valley communities made it into New York's 100 Best Places to Live rankings by Niche.com.

ARDSLEY, NY — Twenty Hudson Valley communities made Niche.com’s list of the 2017 Best Places to Live in New York. Locally, that included Ardsley, Irvington, Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry. No New York community made it into the national Top 100. Carmel in Indiana was determined to be the best place to live in the United States, according to the rankings.

In the state list, Kensington, in Nassau County on Long Island, once again took the top spot in the state rankings.

Just one Orange County community made the list. There were three Rockland communities and the remainign 16 other communities all hail from Westchester County.

Niche.com took into account local statistics on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities to determine these rankings. Read more about the methodology here.
