The movie itself and the actors were fine and the movie made sense to someone watching with me who had not read the books yet. My issue was that this movie was not loyal to the book AT ALL. There were many differences with small details, as to be expected, however, there were also some very large differences in the plot, the most noticeable one being that (SPOILER ALERT) Tris, the main character, dies at the end of the book and DOES NOT die in the movie. This made me very angry😡. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. 👏😊

This is the lowest rating I have ever given a movie. I loved the book and this separates from the book series entirely. Almost nothing is carried over, I really couldn't get past that fact. The story they replaced it with in this film was not the best. it had hollow and unresolved parts and just seemed like the director didn't care about the book at all. If you read the book i'd still say you could watch it but otherwise it is not that great.
