DIOR Women Ready-to-Wear

With the Dior autumn-winter 2022-2023 ready-to-wear collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri is opening the doors of a new era. The mesmerizing silhouettes are set against the backdrop of The Next Era*, a gallery of paintings signed Mariella Bettineschi and composed of large female portraits borrowed from the history of painting from the 16th to the 19th century.

Their eyes, cut and duplicated, question the judgment that has conditioned – and still conditions – women. The iconic Bar jacket is reinvented and dressed with technically innovative inserts created by the Italian start-up D-Air lab**. From clothing to accessories, the creations combine aesthetics and technology, revisiting the Dior heritage. A fascinating exploration between past, present and future.

Maria Grazia Chiuri creates something incredible. This collection perhaps is indeed fabulous. She brought looks and characters from the XV-XVII century’s to modern life. Show started in black with the model properly led-wired taking over runway in the dark.

When the light went on we saw the paintings of XV century on the walls with white parts, covering the clothing of the era. This wonderful idea actually brought these characters much closer to us, and at the same time let us reimagine them wearing new Dior garments and if you looked closely they had USB cords attached.

Following Italian trend presented at Milan Fashion week – the CORSET. Maria Grazia Chiuri presented line of the dresses and coats with the corsets. Fencing armoire and corsets reinvented by Maria Grazia Chiuri, and adapted to Christian Dior DNA from 1950s.

Giving to the coats and dresses beautiful waistlines. Only one thing to say: BELLE… very beautiful collection, fine shiluettes, strong and at the same time very elegant.
