      • Greater Lafayette Central Administrative Ofiice  is currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of Custodian. This hands-on position will work under the supervision of our Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the safe, clean and efficient condition of the church and school facilities. Necessary training will be provided. This full-time position includes full benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 403b matching). 

        ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
        •     Clean and maintain all areas daily.
        •     Daily cleaning tasks include but not limited to; vacuuming, washing windows, sweeping & mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash and picking up unattended items.
        •     Perform janitorial duties on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annual basis; such as steam cleaning the carpet, washing windows, and oiling the church pews, per established custodial schedule.

      • Saint Bernard Church is seeking a Coordinator of Music and Liturgy to manage and coordinate various aspects of music, to oversee music program and grow the choirs.       • Summary: Large, vibrant parish seeks a part-time (ca. 15 hours per week) organist to play music for 4-5 Masses each Sunday and accompany multiple rehearsals one evening each week. Also play for Holy Days of Obligation, Triduum, Christmas Eve, etc

        1. Perform and lead music at Masses and other parish Liturgies as needed.
        2. Learn and rehearse new music.
        3. Rehearse with choir or small musical groups on a regular schedule.

      • Under the mission of the Pastor and the direct supervision of the Director of Evangelization, the full time Youth Ministry Specialist coordinates, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive youth ministry program.  This program is to include aspects of the components of:  catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service aspects, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer and worship opportunities. This position is intended to be filled in the Summer of 2024.

        Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

        1. Conduct weekly meeting during the school year and during the summer as necessary.
        2. Schedule opportunities for youth outside of the weekly program such as socials, retreats, service opportunities, etc.
        3. Be a representative for the parish in regards to national, diocesan, and deanery retreats and activities.
        4. Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate all adult volunteers, insuring compliance with Diocesan Protocol Training, Policy and Procedures.
        5. Work alongside the Sacramental Preparation specialist as needed including the Confirmation retreat.
        6. Collaborate with the Director of Evangelization to maintain a budget and a functional youth ministry office.
        7. Maintain regular communication with the youth and their families through the bulletin, weekly emails, participate in the parish formation registration process, and maintain accurate records on youth and their families with the assistance of the Administrative Specialist. 
        8. Develop relationships with parents that are conducive to open communication between parents and youth.  Build a strong team of adult volunteers to assist in various aspects of youth ministry.  Enlist support and involvement of parents and parish organizations. 
        9. Work in collaboration with other parish staff in scheduling, visioning, planning, and implementing activities, events, and processes that overlap into other areas of staff responsibility.
        10. Attend Diocesan and deanery ministry meetings as necessary.
        11. Engage in ongoing professional formation, up to date on trends in youth ministry, theology, and methodology in ministry, participate in diocesan workshops and seminars, and courses in methodology and theology where needed, participate in local and regional organizations as related to education and formation in the field.
        12. Continue supporting a community of young adults and/or young families as staff contact. Frequent events, retreats, sacramental opportunities, and community service all play into this ministry. Maintain key volunteers who are willing to be invested and willing to invite/accompany others.
        13. Perform auxiliary duties for the parish as requested by the Director of Evangelization and Missionary Pastor.

        DESIRED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

        1. Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree required with course work in youth ministry, religious education, and/or theology preferred.  Minimum of two years of experience working with youth.  Demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic Faith and Church Doctrine.
        2. Skills:  Strong organization and communication skills, ability to manage more than one project/event at one time is essential.  Able to make good decisions; to resolve conflicts, teach and manage adults and teens.  Goal oriented and team focused.
        3. Other Requirements:  Computer proficient, Microsoft Office programs, internet savvy, familiar with database preferred but not required.
        4. General Expectations:  In addition to those outlined in the Position Summary, Be able to participate fully in the practice of the Roman Catholic Faith.  Maintain confidentiality in all parish matters.  Adhere to parish policies and procedures.  Work as a team member.  Maintain a productive workload/schedule.  Develop and maintain effective work relationships with parishioners, visitors, and staff members.  Wear appropriate professional attire during office hours and conduct oneself as a representative of the parish.  Participate in staff meetings.

      • Summary: The Music Director will collaborate on a team directed by the Director of Evangelization to coordinate the music ministry program for St. Mary Parish.  Under leadership of the St. Michael Catholic School principal, the director will instruct our K-8 students in music and design and plan the music education curriculum at St. Michael Catholic School.  The director should demonstrate a willingness to partner with staff, faculty, students, and families, in promoting the Pastorate’s mission, vision, and goals.

        1. Lead the music ministry at weekend liturgies (2 Sunday Masses) at St. Mary Parish, and coordinate music for holy days of obligation, weddings, funerals, and special occasions.  

        1. The Music Director should be the primary accompanist at each Mass, unless a proficient student or resident instrumentalist is able to fill that role.  

        1. Plan music for all Masses which is liturgically, musically, and pastorally appropriate. 

        1. Develop and lead an adult choir and cantors.
