    Thank you for adding the $100 note and the reverse of the coins. Very useful....

    Five stars for the reverse of the notes; and a black and white version for children to colour! :-)

    A handy and printable Australian money resource

    If you are looking for some printable Australian money to teach your children about Australian currency, then this resource is perfect for you!

    This resource would be perfect to use in your Maths lessons to help make them a bit more engaging. Your children can use the coins to help with addition and subtraction and the notes can help children understand place value too. 

    Or, your children could use the various printable Australian money for role playing games in the classroom or at home. Perfect for a fun way to get children familiar with the different kinds of Australian money.

    This resource features some printable Australian money amounts that range from 5 cents to the $100 bill. Using this resource will help your children understand the Australian currency in no time!

    Are there other resources I can use alongside this?

    Absolutely! Twinkl has a bank vault full of amazing resources you can use to teach children about currency. These could be used in Maths lessons or you could even teach your children about currencies from around the world using some of the amazing resources too.

    There are PowerPoint presentations, engaging worksheets, display items, activities and much more to help you put together some really fun and exciting lessons. 

    We have picked out a few of our favourites which we hope your children enjoy using too:

     

    • For a really fun activity, your children can use these worksheets to find out how much some ice cream costs. This will not only be a great way for children to understand money, they could also use their knowledge gained to perhaps impress their parents and get an ice cream out of it?
    • Use these great piggy bank worksheets for children to figure out how much is in the piggy banks. These would be perfect to use in the classroom or you could hand these out to your children for a home learning activity. 
    • Or, for something different, you can teach your children about different currencies from around the world using these display photos. This pack includes currencies from the USA, Canada, Europe, India and more.

    • Australian banknotes come in $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 denominations.
    • Coins are valued in 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent amounts as well as $1 and $2 denominations.
