Biography[]

Season 2[]

Diego enrolls as a new student at On Beat Studio and harbors an unrequited crush on Violetta, who does not reciprocate his feelings, especially because she's dating Leon. However, despite being turned down multiple times, Diego still annoys Violetta by appearing everywhere she goes, fueling Leon's anger and jealousy. Germán also grows very distrustful of Diego that, at one point, embarrasses Violetta on a whim by interrupting a kiss rehearsal. To make things worse, Violetta at the end of a performance accidentally trips and Diego forcefully kisses her, causing Leon to storm off and Germán to become enraged, believing that Violetta did this deliberately, much to her frustration. Leon refuses to hear Violetta's explanations and breaks up with her and starts to date Lara, a girl who works at the motocross track where he races.

In the meantime, nevertheless, Violetta decides to give Diego a chance and accepts him as her boyfriend, also helping him locate his estranged father, whom he never met in his life. Little does Violetta know that Diego is in league with Ludmila to have Violetta expelled from the Studio, with Ludmila promising to reveal the identity of his father, who turns out to be Gregorio, doing a lot of bad things to Violetta, including leaving her voiceless. When Leon finds out, he tries to protect Violetta from Diego and tries to warn her only to be dismissed continually. As Diego starts to genuinely fall in love for Violetta, he starts having second thoughts about going through with the scheme, leading him and Ludmila to a fall out and her making it clear that if he doesn't help her, she won't tell him who his father is. Despite this, Diego continues intimidating Leon for his own pleasure. Violetta starts having doubts about Diego when he tries justifying Germán's actions in disguising himself as Jeremiah to spy on her, comparing it to his own situation.

During a trip to Spain, through a contest he, Violetta, León and Francesca won, these predictions are proven true when Violetta eventually finds out about Diego and Ludmila's plan to sabotage her after Leon recorded him talking to Ludmila about it, happening just as she is on the verge of performing. Depressed to sing, however, she regains her spirit with comfort from Leon. Still, Violetta is completely heartbroken to learn that Diego betrayed her, but Diego is heartbroken as well because he developed real feelings for her. Violetta, as well as her friends who are mad at Diego, starts avoiding him up until he eventually finds out that Gregorio (who is surprisingly apalled for what he did to her) is his father. As Diego performs onstage, a crowd forms around him and is joined by Gregorio who breaks the news and the two share an emotional hug. Violetta walks out and Diego follows her, thanking Violetta for attending, but she makes it clear that this doesn't change what he did to her before.

Season 3[]

Personality[]

In the second season, Diego is presented to us, has a very confident boy, who knows that he's a pretty guy, and a good singer. He knows that sooner or later, all the girls falling at his feet. After all, however, Diego is a kind and caring guy, his being so confident in himself, it's only a mask, to hide the fact that he grew up, without ever having known his father. At the end of the second season, however, Diego changes his ways of doing and goes from being a secure guy if and only thinks of, to be a sweet and gentle boy, who holds so much more to his friends, that to himself.

Trivia[]

  • Originally, Diego wasn't supposed to be introduced on the show in the second season. However, due to Pablo Espinosa departing from the series (In-Universe, Tomás returning to Spain for a music career), this was changed when Violetta chose not to be in a relationship with Tomas nor Leon. The evidence is that Jorge Blanco was billed fourth in the first season's opening credits after Pablo Espinosa who was after Martina Stossel, with Diego Domiquez taking over from Jorge Blanco, while Jorge Blanco took over from Pablo Espinosa while he was written off the series.
