Y�all acting like that isn�t corporate America.
The unspoken issue here is that people don�t like to acknowledge that the Networks don�t promote based off talent and production, they base it on optics. So it�s disheartening to hear that you got an opportunity based on the company�s agenda rather than what you actually accomplished.
It�s the television business. No one can tell me that Maria Taylor is better at her job than any other black woman at ESPN. But hearing Rachel Nichols say that is a reminder of no matter how hard you work ultimately your success at ESPN is under the control of the people who run the network and not your work ethic.
