Desperate Housewives is an American television comedy-drama and mystery series created by Marc Cherry and produced by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. It originally aired for eight seasons on ABC from October 3, 2004 until May 13, 2012.
What’s the most beautiful non-romantic scene from the show?
It comes to my mind when Lynette meets and finally speaks to Mary Alice in her dream. I had to take a break when I saw it for the first time to keep watching lol
The scene where Lynette’s unborn disabled child makes his own sandwich for the first time. It hits me so hard.
When Karen dies and Julie gives birth in "Finishing the Hat" it's beautiful, symbolic, and heart touching.
Also Mary Alice's last quote as the ghosts stand on the sidewalk in the ending scene.
I watch the wedding/Julie/Karen montage whenever I want a good cry.
when juanita was tap dancing in her talent show and not only did gaby look proud, but so did bob and lee :,)
I really loved this scene
YES
Bree visiting Andrew in his new apartment- when he tells her that he forgave her "a long time ago" for everything they went through.
This is the one
That's definitely one of the ones I was thinking of.
Mcluskey when Berta died, the speach
Yes!!
“Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.”
(Spoiler!)
When they show the flashbacks of Mike and Susan's lives together right before Mike gets shot...omg. Omg.
This 🥹
Bree breaking down after hearing the news about Rex’s death once she ran out of stuff to clean/organize. Along with the way the camera slowly pans to hers and Rex’s wedding photo.
Bree cooking Zach that homecooked dinner.
The scene where the men from Wisteria Lane become MJ's pit crew and help him build his race car.
YES. And designed Mike’s dream car for him and Susan letting the guys talk. So, SO sweet
I love this scene, I just wish Carlos had been in it too!
When Gabi goes with Carlos' convict friend to release the red balloon to say goodbye to the child she lost... I cried. I've lost two babies and it hit me hard.
I was dying laughing when she was ‘escaping’ from him🤣🤣
😂When he just stood watching her bewildered holding the balloon
I know she was a really minor character, but I liked the end of the episode about Robin. It was a cool way to show that people aren't what you assume they are based on the surface. That the first thing people noticed about Robin was that she was a hot stripper, but she was also a kind and caring person who had real integrity and loyalty to her friends.
Omg that scene was so beautiful! I cried. Sobbed.
When Bree is falling apart emotionally and "rights" herself and regains her composure.
It shows that self preservation and love for yourself should be stronger than wanting the love and acceptance of somebody else.
No matter how hard that may be.
Love is detrimental. Liking who you are, is not only rare, but incredibly powerful.
When they rally behind Katherine and give police statements about the abuse she endured throughout her marriage to Wayne
Not sure if the most but a really nice one is when Gaby and Carlos are struggling financially and Bree finds out and tries to offer help and Gaby points out a secret she knows Bree is keeping and struggling with and says “real friends dont bring up their friends problems they pretend they dont know” and later on Bree gives her a check and says “real friends dont sit by and watch their friends struggle”
One of my favorite episodes I watch over is the one when Eli Scruggs passed away 🥲🫶🏽
When Lynette has a breakdown in the first few episodes. She abruptly leaves all the kids with Susan, who then finds Bree and Danielle ends up watching the kids while they go looking for her. Lynette feels like a TERRIBLE mother whose doing a bad job and feels so lonely. Bree tells her how she used to use Andrew and Danielle's naptime to cry. This is when the wives start telling each other things, and leaning on each other more.
I know Eddie is in the wrong completely for strangling those women. But the whole scene where Lynettes water broke and Eddie helped her deliver the baby. Just the whole process of him wondering if he would've turned out different if Lynette was his mom, and finally turning himself in was just so beautiful. The emotional Rollercoaster of that ep was so well done (Idk if I spelled his name right)
