JUNIOR, Dennis Joseph
September 30, 1937 - January 10, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dennis Joseph Junior, late of Regina, SK, announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the age of 83 after a brave battle with kidney disease. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Junior; mother Ada Junior; step-mother Laura Junior; brother Bill Junior; and sisters Joan Storey and Beatrice Duke. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Betty Junior; three children, Terry (Gary) Dabski, Rick Junior (Mym Bedard), Rick's former wife Sandra Reinhart, and Curt (Kathy) Junior; four grandchildren, Crystal (Kent) Norbeck, Deke (Sasha) Junior, Karlin Dabski, and Travis (Hayley) Junior; five great-grandchildren, Dane, Kanyn, Birk, Munroe, and Miller. Dennis is also survived by his brother Harold Junior; sister Sharon (Randy) Rodrique; sister-in-law Pat Junior; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis was in the Royal Canadian Navy for three and a half years aboard the HMCS Iroquois and HMCS Micmac before settling and working at the Regina Post Office until retirement. Before he joined the Navy, he played numerous positions as a player for the Regina Rams football team. Dennis continued to support them, volunteering with the Rams Alumni for many years until he could no longer. Dennis was a big supporter of the Riders as well. As per his request, there will be no funeral and a private family gathering will take place when time will allow. Flowers gratefully declined. The family would also like to thank the ambulance services, and all of the doctors and nurses of unit 6F at the Regina General Hospital and Grace Hospice that cared for Dennis. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
