Park Rangers Wanted
Summer Employment
Park Ranger- $11/hour Provides for all safety, comfort and convenience of all park users. Greets visitors, answers general park question. Enforces park rules, assists park users with moving picnic tables and keeping pavilions and bathrooms clean, and performs light to medium maintenance duties. Operates power equipment- riding mowers, lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc. Position requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid Michigan Driver’s License, good mathematical skills and strong people skills.
All applicants will be required to attend various training sessions before working.
Gratiot County Parks operates two county parks within Gratiot County. Reed County Park, 3181 E. Johnson Rd. North Star, MI and Hubscher County Park 8300 W. Washington Rd. Sumner, MI. Both parks have sandy beaches with swimming areas, picnic pavilions, playgrounds and ball fields.
