Nenagh's Gary Howard celebrates a win

Nenagh Golf Club into Fred Daly final

Nenagh Golf Club will meet Westmanstown in the Men’s Fred Perry Four Balls Final, after both teams won their Semi-Finals at a wet and windy Strandhill GC in Co. Sligo.

Westmanstown won the all-Dublin tie against Hermitage with a 3.5-1.5 win. Eamon O’Grady and Joe O’Brien beat Fran Hurley and Robert Byrne 3&2 to help their side book their place in Friday’s Final.

Nenagh await in the Final, after a 3.5-1.5 win over Connemara Isles. Paul Maloney and Garry Howard defeated Sean Ó Cualain and Joe Geoghegan on the 18th to send the Tipperary team through.

Earlier in the day, Royal Tara, Rockmount, Tipperary and Doneraile booked their spots in Friday’s All-Ireland Mixed Foursomes Semi-Finals after victories in the morning’s Quarter-Finals.

Doneraile’s 3-2 win over Baltinglass was the tightest encounter in the Quarter-Finals with the final two matches reaching the 18th green. Darren Roche and Marie Kelleher proved to be the heroes for the Cork team, defeating Diarmuid Cronin and Geraldine Norton on the 19th green to advance.

Friday sees the Final of the Men’s Fred Perry Four Balls take centre stage, with the All-Ireland Mixed Foursomes and the Men’s Four Balls reaching the Semi-Final stages.
