We enjoyed Quince and went 3 times. On their recommendation went to their sister restaurant overlooking the marina where the glass bottom boats arrive.
First, the positives. It has a nice decor with a beachy vibe. The food looks artfully displayed on a plate. My...husband enjoyed his pulled pork taco.
The restaurant experience beyond that was anything but good vibes. It started upon entering. We had made an online reservation, but they had no record of it. We weren't the only ones; someone came in 15 minutes later with the same situation and were told, "Our online reservation system is broken." OK, fix it or remove the option from the website.
Clearly understaffed with only 1 waitperson with experience and a new girl 1st day on the job. BTW, we were the 2nd table sat and it took over 15 minutes to have our order taken.
The food arrived cold another 15 minutes later. The octopus was supposed to be 150 grams (5 ounces); less than 2 ounces showed up on the plate buried by an inordinate amount of vegetables in a greasy mess with a weird pumpkin puree. I asked while ordering if this was pulpo a la plancha and was assured it was; it wasn't. At 25 Euros this is an abysmal effort on the restaurant's behalf.
Scallops served 3 ways were never quite described on the difference. They looked pretty in the shell but we're the size of a 5 Euro coin; disappointing.
As I mentioned the shredded pulled pork taco was outstanding along with the tortilla which says since we live in Austin, Texas in the U.S. My husband did mention the salsa lacked flavor.
There's service, food, and delivery issues. All fixable.
To add insult to injury when we shared our observations after asked, So, how was everything?" the waiter debated with us every point.
So, go for the pork taco, the view, and call for a reservation.More
