Death in Paradise season 11 once again stars Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker, with Josephine Jobert back as DS Florence Cassell. And it's now finally been revealed when it's coming to US audiences after already airing in the UK.

Death in Paradise Season 10 ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, with Neville poised to confess his true feelings to Florence. Obviously, that plot moved on in the first-ever Death in Paradise Christmas special so don't read the plot section if you've not seen the festive episode!

Excitingly, we already know that there will be a Death in Paradise season 12, plus a second Christmas special has now been announced.

Talking about this series, Ralf Little tells us: "We have a fair few fun things! We've got a skydiving episode, there's a kidnapping, there's a death in the middle of a concert which is great, there's a case at a rehab clinic, and we have a whole episode centered around a chess match!

"They're as ambitious and diverse as ever, these cases — every time you read a new episode, you slightly marvel at it. It's very easy to be quite cosy, but they're very ambitious with the scope of things they like to tackle on Death In Paradise, so it always keeps us on our feet, always keeps us guessing."

Here's everything we know about Death in Paradise season 11... (episode summaries contain spoilers if you've not watched those episodes!).

So, the big theme of the new series looks like being whether Neville and Florence become an item. And what happens if it does/doesn't work out for the pair?!

In the Christmas special, Neville confessed his feelings to Florence over a video call. The message kept freezing, but we learned at the end of the Christmas special that Florence heard enough. She told Catherine she didn't know what she was going to do, so we await Florence's next move...

Meanwhile, the BBC has released a string of other plot details for the new series.

Neville's sister Izzy (Kate O’Flynn) will turn up and cause chaos for her brother. Meanwhile, Florence is asked to cover undercover to crack a drug trafficking case on another island, how will she respond?

The BBC also teases there will be plenty of strange murders for the team to solve! "When a skydiver dies, apparently stabbed mid-air, the case seems impossible to crack. A murder on a golf course, a killer at a concert, a mysterious case at a rehab clinic all challenge the team’s unique expertise in series 11."

Marlon is very pleased with himself and announces that he's cordoned off the scene. But not very well, we think! Judge for yourself in the snap below — surely he should have also cordoned off the victim's car, which is in the background!

Meanwhile, we meet Sergeant Naomi Thomas (Shantol Jackson) for the first time. She soon has Marlon's measure. However, she later confesses to him that this is her first-ever murder case! Don't worry Namoi, you'll have loads in Saint Marie!

Back to the case, Neville quickly discovers the kidnap was set up by the victim's daughter and her boyfriend so they could get some cash and flee the island. Matters are complicated when they discover the victim's wife's drug past and her old drug-dealing boyfriend arrives on the island after being freed from jail on another island. But Neville eventually cracks the case...

Meanwhile, Florence has a heart-to-heart with Neville and says she just wants to be friends. Sob!

What happens in episode two?

So, the team is called in when a body is found on a golf course. The poor victim has been whacked over the head with a club!

Among the possible suspects is the victim's brother. While another suspect is the victim's brother's wife, played by none other than former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite.

The evidence soon stacks up against the victim's brother, but is Neville missing something? Surely the case can't be this easy to solve? But then again the murder weapon was found in the suspect's locker. And a voicemail left by the victim heavily incriminates his brother.

Meanwhile, things continue to be strange between Neville and Florence as they aim to be just friends. At the end of the episode, the Commissioner offers Florence the chance to go on a dangerous undercover mission. What will she say?

Wow, strange case this one! Neville is baffled when a skydiver appears to have been murdered in mid-air. But how is that possible? The victim is a whizzkid, who turns out to be something of a bully, meaning that all his staff on the skydive are suspects. However, camera footage clearly shows that when the victim leaped out of the plane he was alive. So, how could one of them have jumped out of the plane and stabbed him in midair?

There's a hilarious bit where Neville decides he should visit the crime scene — the sky — and he embarks on a skydive. No prizes for guessing he can't go through with it.

Meanwhile, Florence can't decide whether to take up the undercover post. The Commissioner believes she has to deal with her past, so he takes her to where she was shot.

Happy she's dealt with her demons, Florence takes the risky job, but is she making a fatal mistake?

Florence is undercover in Jamaica, posing as an au pair as she follows the every move of a suspected crime boss, Miranda Priestley. But, in a twist of fate, Miranda decides to head to Saint Marie, placing Florence in huge danger.

What will happen if someone on the island blows her cover? Miranda is clearly a very dangerous character and when a man she's visiting on Saint Marie ends up dead she's the obvious suspect. The murder appears to be a suicide and Marlon sees it as an open and shut case.

However, Neville strongly suspects it's murder. And Florence tips him off that Miranda was acting suspiciously around the time of the death. But Florence is a little too keen on her snooping duties and her actions place her in mortal danger. How will Miranda react if she discovers who Florence really is? Florence had a narrow escape before, but might she meet her maker this time?

What happens in 'Death in Paradise' season 11 episode five?

Neville and co have to cope with a new world after what happened to Florence. How will Neville cope without her on Saint Marie?

Teasing the plot, the BBC says: "When a young popstar is found dead at a rehab clinic, it initially looks like a tragic accident. But Neville is convinced there’s more to her death than meets the eye."

The episode is notable for introducing Neville's sister, a character who hasn't gone down well with many fans!

Neville's sister seems intent on wrecking her brother's quiet life! As for the case, the victim was allergic to aspirin and it looks like Darlene, a former love interest of Dwayne's and nurse at the rehab clinic, might have given her the medication by mistake. But The Commissioner suspects Darlene is innocent...

What happens in 'Death in Paradise' season 11 episode six?

The BBC teases: "When a woman reports a murder and is then found strangled, the team are left wondering whether she was reporting her own murder."

Neville is baffled by this case. Is the victim talking about her own attack? Or was she calling to report an old murder?

Meanwhile, Neville's sister is still on the island. Brother and sister finally start to bond as she faces a huge decision about her future. Plus Darlene has now joined the team.

What happens in episode seven?

The BBC teases: "A reggae rap artist is shot dead at a soundcheck for a concert. Things prove uncomfortable for Marlon when he discovers a personal connection to the crime."

But the big story in the final episode of the series is the arrival of the Commissioner's ex-wife. We finally learn about the Commissioner's past and he discovers he has a long lost daughter!

No, Tobi has left the show. Tobi played JP for six years and bowed out in the final episode of the 10th series. JP’s last act was to save Marlon from prison. Marlon punched a suspect, but JP insisted to the Commissioner that it was him and Marlon walked free.

Will Ben Miller return?

Ben Miller did enjoy a cameo during the 10th series as DI Richard Poole. However, he doesn't appear in series 11. However, you can enjoy watching Ben starring in another detective show, Professor T.

Will Danny John-Jules be coming back?

Danny returned of course for the first-ever Death in Paradise Christmas special. Talking about why he came back, Danny told us: "I'd been away for four years — I thought seven years in the show was a long time, but four years away went like that! I wanted to make sure when I came back that the return would be believable. What I didn't want was Bobby turning up back in the shower in Dallas! I'm taking that to the extreme, but if Dwayne came back as such a high-profile character, I wanted to leave a not-less-than-impressive continuation of him!"

However, Danny does not appear in series 11.

Who’s guest starring?

The many guest stars include Tamzin Outhwaite (EastEnders), Nicholas Bailey (Sally4Ever), Jason Done (Waterloo Road), Ben Onwuke (Safe), and Ben Starr (Jamestown) will all feature. Further guest stars include Kate O’Flynn (Close To Me), Marcus Onilude (Ted Lasso), Simon Lenagan (Breeders), and Petra Letang (The Reluctant Landlord).
