I don't understand it. It isn't new (It's been in the game for over 3 years as of now), it's still obtainable in game, there doesn't appear to be any shortage of them (Over 38,000 exist at the time of writing), and there doesn't appear to be anything special about the item itself (It honestly looks a bit boring compared to other cosmetics). But still, the price of it hovers around 20 ref, while most cosmetics without any special qualities are about 1.33 ref. I don't get it. I thought that maybe it was because it's an all-class body cosmetic, which aren't really common, but there's the Tuxxy and that's still 1.33. Anyone have an explanation? Thanks in advance.

Quite simply, because people will pay that price for it. A majority of the commuity values it at the price. Not much the average player can do about it
theres like 7 styles can be painted and it's all class
It has 2 collar styles (which just changes the colour, I might add) and it has a style to remove grenades, which only affects like 3 classes. Nothing special, really. And there are plenty of all-class paintable items that don't cost a small fortune.
its a misc so it goes with a lot of other hats like the Kringle collection
Still doesn't seem like it's worth 20 ref. Saying it's worth 5 ref is being generous.

Because it looks nice, so people are willing to pay that price for it. Simple.
4 Styles, arguably one of, if not the best looking coat-like cosmetic, all class. It is one of those cosmetics that everyone values and therefore demand is, even now, decently high. People are willing to pay what they pay for it so people aren't going to sell it for less when people will pay 20 ref. Plus Tuxxy looks nowhere near as good and you are in a small minority when it comes to not liking the cosmetic as many, myself included really like the look of it. (hell I have one on both my accounts)
