I wouldn't make a special trip to see the barn, but most likely you're already visiting race shops, museums & enjoying your day & this is a convenient time to stop & take a photo of the Days of Thunder barn. It's a beautiful old barn that is photo worthy. So, even if you're not a race fan, you may have an appreciation of old construction, history or art. The property is lovely in the center of a concrete mess so it's worth the break to get a breath of fresh air & relax a few minutes. I do not recommend going inside because it looks like it's being used for storage & it is debilitated, but I do recommend adding this to your DO list while in the area.

So we were visiting all the race car museums in the area and my wife stumbled upon this barn. Only if you're a NASCAR fan and liked the movie Days of Thunder and you're in the area, you can view the barn from the movie. It's just a dilapidated old barn that you can see from the parking lot of a convenience store...there's nothing to do here but get out and take a photo. But kind of fun if you're in the area and you want to show all your 40-50 year old friends.

Neat stop.dont go inside, its rickety. But a fun stop if you are a Nascar fan. Right in the middle of Mooresville.

I can't believe this made it onto TripAdvisor. It's an old barn next door to an auto parts store. It's also about to fall down. People keep stealing boards off of it and it could go down any day.
Please don't visit this barn and judge my town based on it. Go look at the lake or visit some race shops.

Awesome. Surprisingly its still standing. Reccomend seeing this if you're a motorsports fan and Days of Thunder fan.
