This place gets 5 stars for MILDRED alone. If you stay here, you have to go downstairs for breakfast to get a taste of Mildred's homemade biscuits and gravy and her WONDERFUL southern hospitality.
If you didnt know better, you'd think you were eating at home!
The rest of the staff is very nice and super accamidating. We were up for a Raider game and can imagine how rowdy we may be SEEMED. Do admit we were loud partying up in the rooms, but staff only came up once, so definitely some generousity and understanding that we were just having a good time.
The doors are real thick too, which helps deaden the noise of ppl having a good time celebrating their favorite football teams.
THANKS AGAIN MILDRED!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Vincent C.Freehold Township, NJ393Nov 12, 2013
I wasn't sure what to expect reading reviews prior to my stay this weekend. The hotel is probably somewhere about 75% completion rate for there renovation. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The location was excellent if you are attending a titans game. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to broadway or a $5-$10 cab ride depending on where you are going downtown. Also an FYI if you fly into BNA it is a 15-20 minute cab ride with a flat fee of $25, so don't get ripped off for a car service charging $75 to go less than 10 milesHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Meredith A.Newcastle, United Kingdom27812123Jan 9, 2013
We stayed here over New Years Eve because it was the only place we could get a hotel for a decent price (and a reasonably good location) over the holiday. You CAN walk to Broadway from here, though it's about a mile and you have to walk through a pretty empty industrial area and cross a bridge. It doesn't feel dangerous, but sort of weird.
Anyhoo, so they have a parking lot which is normally free, but for football games it's $15 a day even for hotel guests, which I think is a CRAP policy. Guests should get a free pass, make the people just parking there for the game pay! This information is not posted on Hotels.com, where we booked, so it was a lousy surprise.
The lobby is fine, the corridor on our floor (four) was totally ripped up and freezing due to construction, which seems to be progressing very slowly. Judging by the hallway it's a dump, but the rooms are pretty standard looking. The comforter had a few discolorations, our window overlooked train tracks, our heater worked but was starting to come apart from the wall and tended to get really hot quickly (and really cold if you turn it off during the day). Other weird things like not a lot of TV channels, lightbulb out in bathroom, no trashcan in the bathroom...it just doesn't seem well-maintained. Free wi-fi was really poor actually, I could barely use the internet even when it said I was connected.
Also the fitness room sucks. Two ancient treadmills, one absolutely ridiculous exercise bike that makes the LOUDEST fan noise ever, and a completely stupid elliptical type machine. It worked, I guess, technically, but was so old-fashioned and semi-falling apart that it was pretty ridiculous. Breakfast in the morning was not very appealing.
But it was safe, and staff was friendly. Despite it being the holiday, we didn't hear any noise through the walls.
The thing that really bugged me was when we emailed the manager about the parking, the exercise room, and the heating, she did not respond kindly at all. She basically attempted to prove us wrong on every count. She basically said - it says on our website that special event parking is $15 (fine, but it's not on hotels.com, maybe it should be, also it's a DUMB policy), she went in the fitness room and everything works fine (like saying a cell phone from 1985 works fine - technically it works but it's wretched and noisy and awkward and in disrepair), and she went in our room and the heat worked fine (yeah, it worked, the room got boiling hot really fast, and when we turned it off it got FREEZING fast - due, we suspect, to the freezing temperature in the corridor). It really angered me that instead of just saying "I'm sorry you had a bad experience," she was like - you shouldn't have had a bad experience and everything here is fine, so you're clearly exaggerating or making it up. I think that's awful management, personally.
Would've given it two stars, but her response makes it one. Whatever happened to customer is always right? Even if you think we're being picky jerks (trust me, we're not), you can just say I'm sorry you weren't satisfied, how can we improve? Don't go here unless you have to, it's fine to spend the night here in a pinch, but this isn't a place where management cares about your experience.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kat M.Livonia, MI96291466Jul 13, 2012
Hot hot to cheap to put on a/c n dining area and hallways to rooms stayed on 6th floor was so hot I could barely breath. The a/c n our room took for ever to get to 85/90 which is still to hot. The bed was so hard I could barely move when we woke up. Pool was very nice. Area is not safe should have 24 hour security not just at night. Would not stay here again if you paid me!!?

on a drive from MN to FL we were planning on stopping for the evening in Nashville to check it out. We arrived later than we wanted and just wanted to stay as close to downtown as possible as we were planning on going out and eating dinner and seeing some sights. This large Days Inn was calling from the road and it looked okay for a city hotel and it is a recognized chain so we figured we would be safe. We got to the room and it was nasty---run down threadbare looking linens and curtain and carpeting....stained up bathroom and I saw vomit and bodily fluid residue on the walls in the bathroom....eeecckkkk...normally I would have just went right on out of there---but we were road weary and also didn't want to waste any time getting to eat and on the town....we sucked it up and by the time I went back to the room to sleep for a few hours --I was glad I had a couple drinks in me but I basically tried my best not to touch anything and keep my clothes on while sleeping and barely moved because it was a dirty dirty room....I want to go shower just thinking about it...

Under construction, facilities incomplete, yet they still charge full price on the rooms. Phones don't work, wires hanging all over. Staff was nice enough, but this place should either not be open for business right now or should have a generous discount to compensate for their lack of functioning facilities and services. Shop around.

My friends and I spent a night here on our way to Bonnaroo, and I have to say, the price was super cheap, the room wasnt exactly clean, and the AC made a lot of noise, but honestly considering the AWESOME staff, and the general closeness to downtown, we got a good deal on this place. It is kind of hidden behind the stadium, but we got a great room with a view of the downtown Nashville, the AT&T tower and the busy highway, all-in-all, taking into account how cheap the rooms are here, as long as you are not a serious germophobe, it was a pretty good spot.

I got stuck at this hotel during the awful floods and I was utterly amazed at how helpful and caring the staff were! They kept each and every guest informed with ways out and possible evacuations. The staff was up all night not only accommodating their guests, but random people wandering in from the flooding. These people were met with blankets, phones to use and a place to relax. Besides that, my room was gorgeous! I had an awesome view from the 8th floor and the room was spacious and cozy. But seriously, the staff went above and beyond! Thank you!

I wouldn't say its the cleanest place but for the price I guess I can't complain. Sucks there's hardly any pop machines and the hall ways are so hot! They are doing a renovation right now and we stayed in a new room. It was pretty nice except the safe was unusable and the TV was a Zenith. Lol. The halls are not air conditioned and it looks like a child painted on the room numbers with a stencil. The staff was nice and accomidating. The shower faucet was backwards. Cold was hot hot was cold. Never had the breakfast and the pool closed to early for us to use it. They gave us 3 key cards but only one worked. I would say for the money it was okay. I really wasn't expecting the best 5 star hotel for under $100 a night..

Worst hotel ever! The walls were so thin we heard people having loud sex all night as well as people talking about sex clubs and drugs. We didn't get any sleep two nights in a row. We heard absolutely everything that happened in the rooms near us. We complained about it to the front desk when it was midnight and we couldn't sleep but they did nothing. I will never stay here again!
