The most ridiculous rule, about time ;)
[removed]
Damn
Oof. That must sting a bit
Yes, it is a ridiculous rule. That is about 'time'. And it's def about time they tried to implement it.
Thank you for mansplaining the joke
💜
Yeah, good luck on having shit day for half a year now. It was literally just an hour.
Considering 30 States have already passed or have bills in process to do the same thing, not surprising. And way overdue.

Stop hitting that blunt so hard.
You sound like I need another hit
Shit, save some for me!
Dont tell another man how hard to hit his blunt!
No, 30 states have bills saying that if the federal government abolishs time changes then the state government won't have its own time change. States are NOT leaving the current system on their own.
They can't. Federal law allows them to freeze Standard time, but not DST.
Oh. Did we all wake up and decide to do something today?
Yeah, but if felt like an hour earlier than we should've.
Shit! That’s funny.
Yay!!!! I hope it passes as Canada will follow.
Meanwhile in Europe we wanna get rid of it
The main idea in Europe is the same: Stop changing time twice a year. Science supports using ”winter time” rather than ”summer time” or daylight saving, but the strongest evidence is against turning clocks.
It should in a couple provinces at least - the legislation has already been passed, we were just waiting to go along with a couple other states / provinces to not make the transition easier
The Senate is easy. The House is where it’ll get voted down or end up with a compromise to fall back 26 minutes instead of one hour.
North Korean time.
Damn, that WOULD be the shit that happens. Our system sucks.
Yeah. The house are moronic frat boys compared to the graduate students in the senate.
Certainly explains how if you're an idiot in the Senate, you're a true top-of-the-class idiot.
Although I don't understand the weird praise the Senate is getting here.
Both sides agreed on something, how about that.
Now do it for something that matters.
Apparently car accidents aren’t the only thing on the rise from day light savings
I live in the north. It matters to me.
I live in SK, Canada. We don't do time change here and it's the only thing this province does right!
I live in Manitoba, and that is the first thing a person from Saskatchewan has said that I can agree with.
arizone dont time change.
Which one did the province choose? An extra hour of sunlight in the morning, or an extra hour in the evening?
I do too.
Are you sure you matter to 'em?
When both sides start to agree, worry
Oh no a functioning democracy.
Only trust Facebook memes
we’re a constitutional republic…..
I don’t do Facebook…..
Wow you're just addicted to being dumb as hell huh? Well good luck with that, whatever makes you happy
As someone who lives in the PNW, thank God. It sucks when it's 4pm in the winter and completely dark.
It being light until 9:30 at night during the summer was a trip when I moved up to the PNW.
It's still going to be dark at 4pm during winter.
So you'd rather trade that for darkness till 9am?
Yes
Every single time.
Yes, I would rather be done with work and still see sunshine than not.
Yes because it’s easier to watch the sunrise when it’s not as early in the morning.
Always
I’d honestly trade it for darkness until noon. Idgaf what time the sun comes up. I just want sun until 9PM year round.
Lol I love that everyone has thus far responded with yes to your question!
But also, yes, one million times, yes.
I dunno. Maybe you don't have kids? I'm not really a big fan of knowing my kids will be waiting for the school bus in the dark and cold during December and January.
Start school later? I’ve seen that brought up in recent years
In a heartbeat. I don't give a shit if it's pitch black outside until noon. In the winter, I wake up in the dark, go to work in the dark, sit in the plant all day while it's light outside, and go home as it gets dark. If we made it daylight savings time all year, then at least I'd get an hour or so of sun after work. It would make it suck a little less.
We will lock on to winter’s time
*edit: I am wrong, which is awesome news
The article said we will lock on Daylight Savings Time. '"It’s time for Congress to take up our bipartisan legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent and brighten the coldest months with an extra hour of afternoon sun,' Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., a co-sponsor of the legislation, said in a tweet."
About. Fucking. Time.
Well, yes. That is what it is about.
How does one fuck time?
With DST
It’s like eating time and sleeping time and nap time.
Agreed! Here in BC we have been waiting for the rest of the pacific states to get on board so we can also do away with it.
Interesting fact: here in BC there is a 10% increase in auto collisions in the week following daylight savings time
No no it’s about Daylight saving time. There’s a separate bill for fucking time
