Varga's Teeth

Are David Thewlis' teeth really that jacked? I'm not really familiar with him, and when I searched for pictures he always seems to be smiling with his mouth closed. I assumed they were done done with prosthetics or something, but that super close-up of him spraying breath spray got me curious.

Repeated vomiting can cause serious damage to the teeth. Vomit is especially toxic because it contains stomach acids. These acids break down food in your stomach so your body can digest it.

But in the mouth, these acids are corrosive, enough to wear away at the enamel that covers and protects your teeth. Brushing your teeth too hard after you vomit can also contribute to tooth decay.

Yes, this is common knowledge. Also common knowledge: David Thewlis is an actor in season three of Fargo. In his role, he plays a man that has an eating disorder called bulimia. He does not actually have bulimia in real life, so your thorough description only applies to the character that he plays, "V. M. Varga", in the show. I assume you know this, however it's unclear as to whether you do as you seem to think David Thewlis's horridly nasty, ENDLESSLY AND REPETITIVELY focused upon sad but truly real FACE - in every scene he fuckin stars in, in this season - is that of a man that is actually bulimic. He is of course NOT actually bulimic in real life.

OP...πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ LORD...no offense...but c'mon!! πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‰ David Thewlis - like all of the actors that star in the lead roles of each and every season of Fargo - is an extremely well known, successful, famous actor. The disgusting face and horridly ANNOYING as fuck voice are sadly - though not too sadly as he's worth millions like most actors these days - real. His real teeth, however, are white and perfectly straight...as one would expect with said millions, and can be easily deduced by utilizing Google.

In short, YES THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY PROSTHETICS. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ€ͺ

He is an englishman. They have terrible teeth.

Or alternatively, despite the intro the show is a work of fiction and has a talented makeup department.

Yes, this was really the point of my question. I just wondered if the show makers deserved major kudos (and now I know that they do), or if dude just has a raunchy grill.

This was definitely the case 50 years ago when we used soot and coal to brush our teeth, thankfully now we have colgate.

So I'm guessing you are an American then? And therefore morbidly obese by the same standard.

You would be correct. Although, only mildly obese. πŸ˜‚

They're naturally terrible.

But they made them even worse for the show.

No, they are in fact perfect in real life. And they are totally fake prosthetics for the show.
