I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive education, training, and experience in a broad range of therapeutic modalities and methods. I call upon a variety of techniques and interventions that are effective in treating mental health and other issues and have worked with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. I truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and that a humanistic, person-centered, and collaborative approach to therapy can help you discover your own inner guidance and the untapped wisdom within that can lead the way to powerful, positive change, regardless of what's troubling you.
For me, it is self acceptance, the uniquely human pull for growth, and the authentic interaction between client/therapist that are the keys to uncovering your best path toward change. Working together we will endeavor to find your own true path through life -- a life of self-acceptance, continued growth, and positive, self-directed change.
I'm an active therapist and provide a supportive, collaborative environment. Clients say they find me easy to talk to and quickly feel comfortable, making it easier to "open up". Clients have also said they appreciate my sense of humor, as I firmly believe that therapy doesn't always have to be serious or painful!
