Davenport allowing spectators for spring sports

Policy goes into effect on Friday, March 19

Effective March 19, 2021, Davenport will allow spectators and fans at spring sports events with limited capacities in outdoor venues. All spectators attending any contest must wear masks when inside the venue's designated area as determined by the host.

"It is with great pleasure to announce Davenport University has opened our athletic facilities to allow our family and friends the opportunity to attend athletic events," stated Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Paul Lowden. "Our staff have worked diligently to implement safeguards to protect our student-athletes and help ensure the successful completion of our spring season during a challenging time."

All fans attending Davenport Athletic contests will be required to wear masks, social distance from other parties and maintain a 20-foot distance from the area of play. Davenport University will allow for fans for the home team only. Fans will be required to show identification at the gate for entry. Entry will be permitted 30 minutes prior to each game. All fans will be required to depart the premises at the conclusion of the contest. To insure the safety of our community, intermingling between spectators and student-athletes before, between or after contests will be prohibited.
