I think she deserves it, not only because she's gorgeous but also because she seems to work really hard, and as saturnine said, she is everywhere at the moment

The list is not based on public opinion. If it is an "of the moment" list. Daria deserves the #1 spot, she is the most widely used girl in the industry right now, and that's just the fact of the matter.

I like Daria. I don't mind seeing her in the #1 spot. She does deserve it! However, I hope she doesn't stay there for months and months - I'd like to see dear Gemma Ward kick her out of position soon!

I think that she deserves it! She is indeed everywhere...good for her!

She has a great face for fall. She just has a perfect look for this season's trends - fur, tweed, pencil skirts and cardigans, etc. Very ladylike and serene but with a bit of an edge. I can totally understand her placement for the moment!

I love daria she really deserves this shes a goregous woman absoloutly stunning in my eyes! She is very versatile as well i think.

i dont see whats the BIG BIG facination with her........
shes getting paid SO MUCH for the upcoming RTW shows

she doesnt even seem to have as much runway presence as other's yet shes still so popular

Only people-in-the-know (designers, mag editors, fotographers etc. ), can see what's special about Daria. Right now it's her moment as Gisele's was 2-4 years ago or Kate in the 90's. If you don't catch it, don't try too hard, sad to say.... you won't!

i don't think she deserves it. neither did liya. after #1, all you can do is go to supermodel status, according to models.com and daria will have to stay at #1 for a pretty long time to be a supermodel.

Do you realize how hard it is for all the models who are on the top ten to stay there for any lenght of time? If you last more than two or three seasons you're doing something right. Right now there are hundreds of new faces running around NYC for castings trying to claim their spot. They're younger,fresher and have the advantage of being "something new". Even the top models have to go on castings each season. Daria and all the others are on top right now because they worked hard to get there and the clients loved their "look". How proud they must be and good for them.

Hey Model Mom, aren't you in last season's America's next Top model, the momma from Georgia?.....Speaking of ANTM, I saw their new castings and all I can say is ......kinda boring. Everybody is dolled up and ready to claw their way to the , top? not really! I dont see the next shandi , which I missed her drama........Some very very promising black beauties though! by the way....I also see Fat people in there. Why can't just they get rid of Fat people, they never really go places anyways!!! Sorry but I'm not a fan of Plus sized models and this show seemed to push fat people in supposedly supermodel league!
