Noble Intentions, Season One (Supposedly No 4 in the Series)

Noble Intentions, Season One (Noble Book 4). Note the edit at the end: I read the first 3 and enjoyed the books and the character development. The situations are a bit far fetched and he seems to get into an incredible number of scrapes either deliberately or simply because he is careless, but he always gets out of the last one by some magic trick and slays his enemies. My 1 Star review for this book is that he totally deviates from the characters he has already developed in Books 1-3. Noble's sometimes GF is a tough but fair young women who is/was the daughter of Noble's CO when he was in the Marines. Noble has promised to watch out for her forever when the CO/Father was dying in Noble's arms. In Books 1-3 she was an operator/bartender at a NY neighborhood bar. Suddenly in Book 4 she is a pole dancer. In Book 3 Noble runs into a section head of the DGSE in France whom he befriends and helps out in a Terrorist situation. Pierre is the section head and ends Book 3 owing Noble a favor. In Book 4 Pierre is suddenly an assassin for hire. Does Ryan think we don't remember from book to book who his characters are? Or is the series now being ghost written by someone that simply hasn't read the first 3? Maybe Ryan has a new editor that has talked Ryan in abandoning all that has gone before to introduce more gratuitous violence in the series and change the characters from complex developed parts of the overall story to simply a placeholder for a new book. Pretty disgusting in my mind.

I don't know what prompted Ryan to make Clarissa a Pole Dancer and initially call Pierre an Assassin in this beginning of this book, but I will put it up to a bout of temporary insanity. Clarissa cleared up and became a CIA agent and quit the Pole Dancing business. Pierre remained a mess and although was later mentioned as a DSGE agent really did act throughout the book as a bit of a weak assassin. But I suppose I can forgive that, so I moved my one star rating to 4 stars.

IF you haven't read ANY of the Jack Noble stories - You should buy this Book!
The 5 stories are all a continuation from one to the other, so it should be like reading one continuous novel...
L.T. Ryan is an excellent writer of fast-paced action stories laced with a touch of humor...
I'm tempted to Buy this just so I'll have the stories ALL in one Volume!
If you haven't read about Jack Noble and the other characters in this Excellent Series, You are in for a treat - a real Reading Pleasure!

Season one of NOBLE INTENTIONS is a compilation of the first five episodes in this series. Each one is a perfect standalone story, but all are connected and help weave a tale of Jack's life, or at least this small snippet of it. You can't help but love Jack. Sure, he kills for a living, but he's good at it. And he knows when to draw the line. It's his weaknesses that makes him so relateable, and one of those weaknesses is the group of close friends he keeps around him. Each of the secondary characters in this book with grab at your heart and never get it back. This series is full of humor, action, suspense, emotion, and lots of surprises. There's really nothing in here not to like, and so it comes with the highest recommendation I can possibly give it. You'll fly through the first season and start begging for the second. And if season one is any indication, it'll be worth every agonizing second to wait for season two! I found this series fully enjoyable. What's not to love? Jack is a complex guy with almost superhuman fighting skills who is compassionate, lovable, sexy and admirable even though he kills for a living! His longtime friend and associate "Bear" is on the scene when needed and is a remarkable and exciting guy. The girls in Jack's life make him human and show that he is capable of love. There is even a sweet little girl involved through no fault of her own that has captured everybody's love. I look forward to reading the next part of Jack's story and hope we don't have to wait too long to buy it. This book is a lot of enjoyment for the money! Ryan, a new author, has the talent to captivate a reader, keeping one turning the pages (so to speak) to see what happens next. I am glad that I got a chance to read this book. I love to read a lot.

Ryan continues his story about the life and struggles of an assassin who is now incarcerated in the worst prison in Russia and is sentenced to death. The book spends more time looking at how this affects those he holds dear, rather than concentrating on his in prison life. Then there is a brief telling of how he comes out of prison. Not as expected, no prisoner exchange here!
