Meanwhile at the opposite end, the three clubs that came up - Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town - are the three going straight back down again. Following the season's conclusion, we grade all 20 clubs in our annual report cards, beginning with Arsenal through to Fulham.

JACK GAUGHAN AT THE ETIHAD: Man City were in December and six points behind the leaders. Pep Guardiola remonstrated with referee Craig Pawson as they went in at half-time a goal down.

After their title was secured, celebrations took place on the Etihad pitch and in the dressing room, before City's stars moved onto the bars and venues of Manchester.

The former Manchester United captain shared an emotional post on Instagram on Sunday evening, following the death of his beloved German Shepherd.

IAN LADYMAN AT ANFIELD: Once the strains of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' had faded, a football match was supposed to break out. But it never really did.

IAN HERBERT: A few people who witnessed the terrible diminution of Arsenal, and wondered if there was ever a way back, had tears in their eyes on Sunday.

Inside Man City's title party: Jack Grealish leads the celebrations once again as Pep Guardiola's men toast a record-breaking fourth consecutive title... as their night out rages on until 5AM

The merriment bounced from the dressing room into bars and on until 5am at Greek restaurant Fenix as players brought along their wives and girlfriends for a boozy night. Pep Guardiola was in the mix after steering his team to a sixth Premier League title in seven seasons with a 3-1 win against West Ham , much to the chagrin of Arsenal. Grealish and Haaland struck a pose early in the night as they showed off their watches, with a Premier League medal dripping from the latter's neck. The partying started in the dressing room, where players danced and sung: 'Campeones, campeones, ole, ole, ole!'

NEW Despite the Blues' strong finish to the campaign, doubts have emerged over Pochettino's future in recent weeks, and Ferdinand is not convinced the Argentine will be sticking around.

RIATH AL-SAMARRAI AT VALHALLA: Neither a mad scientist nor the monkey on his own back could prevent Xander Schauffele from taking the hardest step in golf on Sunday night.

Pictured: Tyson Fury heads to the tip as Gypsy King is seen for the first time since

Tyson Fury has broken cover for the first time since his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia . The 35-year-old has returned to his Morecombe mansion following his split-decision defeat to his Ukrainian rival on Saturday night. Wearing sunglasses, a backwards cap and a Gyspy King tracksuit adorned with the Union Jack, Fury was spotted heading to the tip with his wife Paris. In one shot, he was seen trying to juggle holding a conversation on the phone while carrying Asda bags filled with rubbish. The heavyweight boxer appears to settling back to life at home, just two days after his first-ever professional defeat.

The goalkeeper suffered a fractured eye socket in Manchester City 's 2-0 win over Tottenham when he collided with Cristian Romero. It is a huge blow for Ederson and Brazil.

Three Man City players make Sofascore's best Premier League XI after clinching the title -

Locked in a final day dogfight with Arsenal, City had to beat West Ham at the Etihad and duly did so courtesy of a 3-1 victory (Ieft) that sparked wild scenes at the final whistle. Phil Foden scored a sensational brace and Rodri netted the third to settle lingering nerves after Mohammed Kudus had hooked in an acrobatic effort for the visitors. In the end, City finished on top of the pile with 91 points with Mikel Arteta's Arsenal (right) just two points adrift and agonisingly missing out on a first title in two decades. But with Cole Palmer (inset left) and Bruno Fernandes (inset right) also impressing, who made the best XI from a memorable campaign? Mail Sport takes a look...

ARSENAL 2-1 EVERTON - SAMI MOKBEL AT THE EMIRATES: False hope but this is no false dawn. In the end Arsenal kept to their end of the bargain here against Everton. Not that it mattered as Manchester City efficiently completed what was required to win their fourth straight Premier League title. But Arsenal, even until the dying minutes here, believed.

Man City make HISTORY! Phil Foden and Rodri star in a 3-1 victory over West Ham to see Pep

Manchester City have become the first English team in history to win four league titles in a row following a 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola's side have now won six out of the last seven Premier League titles having topped the table with 91 points, as Arsenal fell short for the second year in a row.  Phil Foden's brace and a Rodri third saw City romp to a convincing win, putting the icing on the cake on a historic day for the club and English football.

Pep Guardiola believes that his Man City are THE GREATEST club side in English football

JACK GAUGHAN AT THE ETIHAD: Manchester City's astonishing numbers over seven years prove they are the greatest English club side of all time, an emotional Pep Guardiola said last on Sunday. City became the first club to lift four consecutive top-flight titles after Phil Foden inspired them to a 3-1 victory over West Ham on the Premier League's final day. Guardiola admitted he is unsure what next year's motivation will be now but insisted the legacy of this City squad will live on eternally after they posted more than 90 points again and pipped Arsenal to the title by two points.

Top of the Klopps! Jurgen Klopp marks his Liverpool farewell by dancing on stage alongside a rapping John Barnes and strolling through the city centre with a drink in hand as he enjoys a final night out with his players

Jurgen Klopp marked his Liverpool farewell with a night on the town with his players - before dancing on stage alongside a rapping John Barnes. The outgoing Reds boss was pictured laughing and holding a drink as he strolled through the city centre in a black shirt and jeans, flanked by his squad and club legends including Kenny Dalglish. Video footage then also emerged of the German, now with his trademark cap flipped backwards, busting dance moves on a stage in front of a crowd. He was joined on the podium by former Anfield favourite Barnes, who appeared to be rapping and performing a version of Rappers Delight by The Sugarhill Gang. The 56-year-old finished his nine-year reign on a high as his side recorded a 2-0 win over Wolves at Anfield after first-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah.

Goodbye Jurgen! Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold break down in TEARS as Liverpool say farewell to Klopp… as star duo contemplate their own futures with a year left on deals

Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold could not hold back the tears after embracing Jurgen Klopp following his final game in charge of Liverpool. Klopp finished his nine-year reign on a high as the Reds recorded a 2-0 win over Wolves at Anfield thanks to first-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah, but that mattered little as all attention turned to Klopp at the final whistle. He strode onto his pitch at full time and hugged his captain Van Dijk. In an extremely emotional moment, the Dutchman burst into tears after over six years of playing under Klopp.

Chelsea's season of two halves ends with a European place guaranteed but will it be enough

CHELSEA 2-1 BOURNEMOUTH - KIERAN GILL AT STAMFORD BRIDGE: Mauricio Pochettino patrolled the pitch after confirmation came that Chelsea are the sixth-best team in the country. He thanked the fans. Gave them the odd wave. Blew a kiss or two. He will only find out if this was goodbye for good when he sits down with the owners this week to review their campaign. Whatever happens, Pochettino can be proud of how vastly his players have improved in the second half of this season to finish where they have. Moises Caicedo sums up that turnaround as much as anybody, and his spectacular strike from the halfway line was what kickstarted this victory to ensure the club will be in Europe next season.

TOM COLLOMOSSE AT SELHURST PARK: It was lucky for Villa they arrived at Selhurst Park with their top-four finish secure as this was a woeful performance in front of co-owner Nassef Sawiris.

Luton Town are the third and final Premier League outfit to be relegated this season, following the conclusion of Nottingham Forest's clash with Burnley.

JASON MELLOR AT TURF MOOR: Do not adjust your sets - VAR finally rode to Forest's rescue as Chris Wood twisted the knife on his Turf Moor return.

Sheffield United 0-3 Tottenham: Spurs SECURE Europa League football for next season as

MATT BARLOW AT BRAMALL LANE: Ange Postecoglou returns to his native Australia with a Tottenham victory to soothe a difficult end to his first season in charge. Dejan Kulusevski scored twice and Pedro Porro once against already relegated Sheffield United, as Spurs sealed fifth and qualification for the Europa League with 66 points while singing 'Shame About the Arsenal'. It is an improvement of six points on last season when they had a Champions League campaign to contend with and comes after losing Harry Kane so probably a par score, with elements of promise and plenty of scope for improvement.

Two days after the shock announcement that Roberto de Zerbi will leave Brighton at the end of the season, the manager clarifies his plans for the near future, hoping for a Premier League job.

JOHNNY NELSON: Thuggish and rude, Tyson Fury and his camp left me cold with their conduct

JOHNNY NELSON: Let me address the elephant in the room, sympathy for Tyson Fury this morning is thin on the ground. I always love the Brit to win but there is a growing amount of people who follow our sport that are happy he didn't. And you have to ask, why is that? There is a responsibility that comes with being a world champion and how Tyson and his entourage conduct themselves in the build-up to a fight leaves me cold. It's thuggish, it's rude and it can't be excused as big fight showmanship any more.

Newcastle complete their job with 4-2 win against Brentford but their biggest game of the

CRAIG HOPE AT THE GTECH COMMUNITY STADIUM: The biggest game of Newcastle's season will be played at Wembley next weekend. At the same time, Eddie Howe and his players will be flying home from a tour of Australia. What happens in the FA Cup final will determine whether they'll be adding to their air miles come August. Tyneside will be Sky Blue on Saturday in support of Manchester City. Should they lose to Manchester United, the cup winners will take Newcastle's place in Europe. A City victory and the Conference League awaits for the Magpies. That was not what they hoped for nor expected at the outset of this campaign. Back in August they were a Champions League club and sat top of the Premier league after a 5-1 demolition of Aston Villa on the opening day.

Moises Caicedo scores from the CENTRE CIRCLE as Chelsea fans hail their £115m British

Moises Caicedo has scored first goal for Chelsea on the final day of the season, with an incredible strike from the half-way line against Bournemouth.  The Ecuadorian international has found it tough in his first season at Stamford Bridge, since joining the club for a British record £115m fee. But the 22-year-old finally got off the mark for the Blues with a goal which will be seen as one of the best of the season.

The Ukrainian defeated the Gypsy King in a blockbuster clash on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia, winning via split decision after the judges scored the fight 115-112, 113-114, 114-113.

GRAEME SOUNESS: Jurgen Klopp has been a shrewd leader in dark times - but here's why he

GRAEME SOUNESS: Jurgen is a passionate, emotional man. The city is full of passion and emotion. The two have been a most wonderful fit, these past nine years. And though it took Jurgen two or three years to get going, the spectacle has been wonderful, too. Edge-of-your-seat football. I speak to a lot of football people and with due respect to Manchester City , most prefer watching Liverpool play to City, with their slower, more precise build-up.

Feyenoord pay tribute to incoming Liverpool manager Arne Slot on final day of Dutch

The Dutchman this week confirmed that he will succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield after the Reds agreed a compensation package that could reach £9.42million with his Rotterdam employers. Feyenoord released a sleek video in his honour and had him pose on the pitch with the accolades he has brought them. Slot won the Eredivisie title last season, the KNVB Cup this year, and also led them to the 2022 Europa Conference League final, where they lost to Jose Mourinho 's Roma.

WORLD OF RUGBY: The Premiership title is still up for grabs and two fascinating semi-finals await, but the league campaign is over and it has been an absorbing one.

Usyk, amid the celebrations in the ring, was teed up to give his reaction to broadcaster TNT Sports in a post-fight interview but his attention shifted ringside.

Oleksandr Usyk shows off his battle scars and new belt after his unification triumph over

Oleksandr Usyk has shown off his battle scars from his heavyweight title fight with Tyson Fury as the Ukrainian star posed with his new belt on social media. Usyk became the undisputed world heavyweight champion on Saturday night after a split decision victory over Fury in Saudi Arabia. The Ukrainian fighter was awarded the contest by two judges after the 12-round fight, while the other scored the clash in favor of Fury.

Now for the rematch! Tyson Fury is set to bank another £100m when he fights Usyk again

The judges on the night scored the bout 115-112 Usyk, 114-113 Fury and 114-113 Usyk to see Usyk win via split-decision - but the pre-bout deal the two boxers signed lines up a second encounter. Fury, from Morecambe in Lancashire, claimed afterwards that the judges favoured Usyk due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine - while the British boxer's wife Paris revealed how she was a 'bag of nerves' before the epic tussle. It has also been revealed that triumphant Usyk, 37, was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken jaw instead of attending a post-match press conference. The battle was a tale of two halves at the Kingdom Arena, after 35-year-old Fury dominated the opening rounds before Usyk came back to control the fight with a flurry of punches in the ninth round leaving the Gypsy King floundering.

Usyk came back into the fight and won a number of the later rounds to claim victory, with it revealed that all he needed to do was avoid a knockdown to secure the win going into the final round.

Oleksandr Usyk sent to HOSPITAL with a broken jaw after beating Tyson Fury... as new undisputed heavyweight champion misses the post-fight press conference

Tyson Fury claims new undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk rushed to hospital with a broken jaw after beating him in Saudi Arabia. The Ukrainian gained a split decision victory to hand the Gypsy King the first loss of his career, and he nearly knocked out the now-former WBC heavyweight champion with a brutal onslaught in the ninth round. However, it was the Brit who seemingly inflicted the greater damage as Usyk was forced to miss the post-fight press conference to have his injuries attended to.

Mauricio Pochettino has proved his class at Chelsea... now he should run from delusional

RIATH AL-SAMARRAI: There isn't much obvious crossover between the great golfing turncoat Jon Rahm and the great Chelsea sage, Todd Boehly, but there is some. It's well hidden, but this week nudged it into the light. Let's start with Rahm and something he tried to feed a few of us on Tuesday. That was in Louisville, at the US PGA Championship, which between a divorce and an arrest squeezed in the usual fretting around those who took the loot and those who did not. Rahm trousered the cash, of course, and went to LIV in one of the bigger storms to find that tee cup. Anyway, he was asked a question about crossing to the 'other side' and that's when he attempted to pull a bit of a fast one. 'You guys keep saying "the other side" but I'm still a PGA Tour member, whether I'm suspended or not,' Rahm said. 'I don't feel like I'm on the other side, I'm just not playing there.'

MATT BARLOW'S SEASON REVIEW: Harry Styles shared mints with Luton hard-man Mick Harford

MATT BARLOW: This season will rumble on. Cup finals, globetrotting exhibition games and internationals. It will be another eight weeks before we know the winners of Euro 2024, but the last of the Premier League fixtures seems like a time to reflect on the season that was. Sir Jim found his way to Old Trafford with the help of his Ineos compass and Jurgen Klopp bid farewell to English football and one of the great modern coaching rivalries. Auf Wiedersehen Pep. There were loads of goals. Loads of added time. And loads of goals in added time. Asterisks twinkled across English football. Everton, Nottingham Forest, Reading, Wigan, Morecambe all punished from various financial offences in a sport more than ever in the grip of the accountants, data processors and sports scientists.

Scheffler was arrested Friday morning, with stunning images showing him handcuffed as he was taken to jail for not following police orders during a pedestrian fatality investigation.

ISABEL BALDWIN AT VALHALLA: If the events of Friday morning couldn't rattle Scheffler, then a change of caddie surely wouldn't. Yet, Schauffele and co. were left breathing a sigh of relief.

ISABEL BALDWIN AT VALHALLA GOLF CLUB: With his money-grabbing LIV move, he has slid into obscurity. But this week a resurgent DeChambeau has clawed his way back into relevance.

Never mind the trophies, Jurgen Klopp created the best Liverpool team ever - here's why

IAN LADYMAN: I feared all along that Jurgen Klopp may leave England with only one Premier League title to his name. Manchester City's era of crushing dominance has seen to that. The value of football is measured not only by trophies though. If it was then 90 per cent of our Premier League clubs may as well stop playing. So Klopp's single title success from nine years on Merseyside doesn't stop me from thinking that the German built and developed perhaps the greatest team ever to represent Liverpool.
