Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever! We ordered a stackable dryer online and the delivery crew dropped it off and left saying they didn’t want to install it. The delivery guy even called his boss and was told to do it. He said no and left. We called the main Home Depot line twice and were ignored and told it was our fault and insulted.
Home Depot has made a hater for life in west valley city Utah!

Home depot - gone woke all woman commercial

I watched a Home Depot commercial that depicted all woman working on various jobs and using tools etc…. Where does this happen ? How woke are you ? Disrespecting all your white male customers ! I would guess make up 90% plus of their market ! Instead they go woke with some all woman working construction fantasy ! Boycott Home Depot ! White males use ace or other hardware stores and let woman support Home Depot ! F Home Depot ! Go woke go broke !

why am i waiting a week to get a can of glue

I have spent my time online to order a large project worth of material. the customer service people are hands down very nice and great. I will say to a small contractor this online ordering has gone to be a pain, why can't I order my stuff and get it shipped from the store all at once? seriously a can of glue and primer has to come ups from another state, when other competitors can take this small product from the local store and add it to the truck. i live in Texas and it takes a week to receive something as simple as a 1"pvc valve? I simply don't understand. Next time i do a project I will call the last competitor with my list and get all my stuff delivered from that local store all at the same time. then I don't have to check emails every day to be disappointed that I could have just went to the store and picked it up myself. why spend the money on delivery for sub-par time lines. very disappointed in this project material delivery

They sold us a portable dishwasher that doesn't have the capability to dry the dishes. Who would even want that. We did not even find out that it didn't dry them until after calling the repair center and GE doesn't have any dry cycle. 48 hours had passed so now we have a $600 piece of Garbage!!!!!!!!!

Very beautiful day wasted!!

I place a farly large order for a backyard landscape refresh. All products ordered were in stock, per HD's website. Scheduled for a Friday delivery, as I had lined up some friends to help me on Saturday morning. No Friday delivery. Placed a hold on my help. It is now Saturday afternoon, and still no delivery. Customer service could not tell why it had not been delivered or where the order was. Everyone has other commitment on Sunday. A very nice day to work outside WASTED!!!

Substandard Material & Service

Absolutely substandard materials and service. Bought a Hampton Bay patio set in May 2023. The finish on the table peeled in less than a year despite being covered all winter. Turns out the "concrete" finish was really a thin layer of paint over a composite top. There is no chance of it staying adhered to the top over time even if babied. Had the construction been clear, I would have never bought the set. Called Home Depot and was told they can give me a $100 "markdown" (on a $1200 set) if I don't want to try a replacement tabletop (which is identical and will not be warranted). Avoid this brand - and this business.

Self checkouts are a violation of…

Self checkouts are a violation of multiple federal laws. Forced labor without payment of the minimum wage is illegal on the federal level. Forcing people under the legal working age to be a cashier for home depot is also federally illegal. Anyone accused of stealing from self checkout is innocent because, 1) they are not a trained cashier. 2) mistakes happen for untrained cashiers, 3) forced unpaid slave labor is federally illegal. If there are any attorneys interested in an easy winnable class action please contact me so this madness can end before home Depot forces people to stock its shelves for free

False delivery time claims

Spent an hour loading up a cart all for "delivery today" even the last item I put in the cart said this. Get to checkout and all items wont be delivered until tomorrow. FO! I'm not home tomorrow. I guess I'll cancel that plan for another try at Lowes next time I'm off.

Also, when time to login it says "Password expired" So they just delete your login credentials if you haven't bought anything in a few months?

VETERANS BEWARE. when you sign up for VA discount, what they really want is your SOCIAL SECURITY number. Why

Attempted to sign up for Veterans discount. Pain in the rear end. I was not looking for a charge account as I only use cash. What Home Depot wanted was a copy of my DD form 214. Would not accept my Government issued VA card. What they really wanted was my social security number. Go to Lowe's, all you need there is a valid VA card.

This company's website is the WORST

This company's website is the WORST. I spent 2 days trying to get into my account to pay it. I asked for a code to reset the password (assumed that was the problem) and never got it, despite multiple requests. Then I tried the pay by phone, which hung up on me twice. Finally got it paid on the 3rd attempt. I have no patience for a company that treats its customers like this (don't even get me started on the HORRIBLE customer service in the stores). You win Home Depot. I canceled my $14k credit limit account.

Manager Corruption

I'm leaving this review online for people to know what the Hendersonville, Tennessee Home Depot (#0735) did to a 16-year employee who also happens to be my husband.

Frank Torres was suspended from Home Depot on 8.12.22 because a female worker claimed he "touched her" and made her feel "very uncomfortable".

I called Home Depot on the same evening and spoke to Chuck asking if he knew the employee's name and he responded that he doesn't know what's going on. I then asked the manager's name. I ended the call to Chuck stating that Frank would be there the next day to talk to Matt.

We both find it odd that the situation happened over TWO WEEKS ago and Matt, the Home Depot manager, finally decides to confront Frank with this in his office AROUND TWO WEEKS later.

Frank was suspended without pay and had to use his vacation time during this ongoing investigation.

Things took another shady turn.

On Thursday, August 25th, Frank spoke to Katie and told her that we had contacted the Corporate office. Corporate office said that it only takes 24 to 72 hours to get back to the employee regarding an incident. So what's going on here isn't correct protocol. SUDDENLY the next morning on August 25th, at 10:00 a.m., Matt called Frank. He stated that there was nothing on the video regarding the touching but will still fire Frank due to policy issues of what he allegedly said to the female employee.

Notice that Matt waited to call Frank after hearing that the Corporate office was contacted.

Also notice that no tape was found of Frank "touching" the employee, but the manager believed what she said anyway. If the tape doesn't show the touching proving that the employee lied, it should be reasonable that the employee also lied in regards to her statement.

I'm legally blind and needed to move out of state for better services with the Division of the Blind. Now this can't happen as we are unable to obtain a mortgage without a job or a current job of a year's employment.

I had purchased new fence from them…

I had purchased new fence from them which they sublet to Buzz fence company. No one from Home Depot has contacted me to see how project went, had to pay for all up front.
We had issues with Buzz fence and Home Depot needs to do better at following up on projects that they sub out to other contractors.

I have never experienced such horrible…

I have never experienced such horrible customer service. Purchased a 6'x8' rolled bamboo fence. Paid for delivery. The bamboo arrived. It was filled with dirt, spider webs and spiders. The bamboo was all black and grey and totally discolored (clearly sitting outside for months). So far two separate calls for more than 2+ hours. With customer service saying they are trying to reach the store who shipped the product and they can't do anything until the store answers the phone! Worst purchase decision ever.

Slow, unreliable online support and misinformation

I do a lot of online shopping, but Home Depot is the WORST!! Always!!. First of all, when I open their website, it sets my store in a town 50 miles away in another county. I always change it to "make this my store" for my location. Next time, it's the same. I have a PRO account, and when I log in, they send me a security alert telling me I logged in three hours earlier and near a town that is 50 miles away in another direction. When I check an online order after 10 days, my order status only shows in store purchases, not the online order even though I used the order number. When I call, I am told that the order was delivered two days ago to my local store. When I go to the local store, they don't have it and say it will be in next week. So, in the end most things take about 3 or 4 times longer than other online sites.
Unless ABSOLUTLY NECESSARY, I will not order from HD online.

stores won't honor online orders

Ordered garage door opener w install. Price on line less than in-store. Charge pending disappeared after weeks so went to store for info on why. Claim in-store not responsible for online orders. That group on installers not answering so need to pay higher in-store price or go somewhere else. Supervisors refuse to come to front of store to explain. Always too busy. Now this senior is back to shopping for affordable garage door opener with install or keep walking to garage to open/close door. Rain or HOT. Three in-person trips to store had no more info and no effect. Signs in store claim otherwise: "order on line and pick up here"

Buy Appliances Elsewhere

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT purchase appliances from these fools.
You will pay for delivery now, regardless of home or store delivery. They will not honor veteran discounts.

Your appliance won't come with basic electrical plugs
Your water intake isn't going to match up with anything that has been built in homes in the past 50 years.
All they want is to nickel and dime customer into buying basic connection packs that they don't even have the curtesy to inform you you'll need.

sliding door defective product and service

Bought 2 sliding door replacements at the Cave Creek, AZ store.

PRODUCT -
BOTH were defective from the factory. One had a missing trim piece. The other had a ~5" black smear between the panes.

SERVICE -
In store ordering excellent.
Replacement was a nightmare. HD and vendor both agreed both units were defective and trim piece needed to be added and the other sliding panel needed to be replaced completely. Vendor agreed no cost to the product but not replacement installation.

It took weeks of back and forth with the store comparing windows/doors to appliances that return visits after installation would not be charged to the customer. That's fine IF the original product was right and needed warranty service months/years later but NOT when the original product was not right.

So, after weeks of a ridiculous standoff we paid the $800+ installation (:45 work) with the understanding I'd elevate the issue to corporate customer service.

Corporate handled the issue and refund issued.

Embarrassing for a respected store like HD.
