Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center

The Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center is the home of the CSU men's and women's basketball teams. The Lumpkin Center covers approximately 96,000 square feet and seats 4,500 for basketball events. There are 2,500 seats in the "bowl" area of the arena which are chair-back, theatre-style seats. An additional 2,000 seats are available on the second level in the form of retractable bleacher seating.

The Lumpkin Center also houses the Columbus State athletic offices, weight room, athletic training facilities and the CSU Athletic Hall of Fame.

Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. was a long-time supporter of Columbus State University, particularly its athletic programs. A life-long resident of Columbus, Mr. Lumpkin helped found and run the Wilcox-Lumpkin Company, one of the nation's oldest insurance companies still in the hands of the founding family. His son, Frank III, now runs the company.

In January of 2015, the court inside the Lumpkin Center was named after Columbus State Hall of Fame head coach and athletic director Herbert Greene. A 2008 CSU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, Greene won 481 games over 25 years as head basketball coach, played an active role in establishing the Peach Belt Conference in 1990 and oversaw 48 conference and five national championships as athletic director of 23 years.
