Two weeks of sun in a beautiful place let down in parts by the tired looking hotel showing wear and tear. The staff can't do enough for you especially at breakfast time with my main man Alexis Gill Paiapa made my day start with a smile always wanting to take care of everything for you. Now a few negatives the balcony doors are lacking any maintenance meaning building your muscles up in the gym would help just to open and shut the sliding doors and the furniture on the balcony is nothing more then basic cheap garden plastic chairs old and grubby looking. Food in the daily dinning is quite boring mainly the same thing daily just cooked slightly different. The bar staff in the main bar are quite ignorant and will ignore you if there is mexican client's at the bar even if they came after you. Hotel is in need of some updating and entertainment is none insistent basically a 45 minute magic or Michael Jackson show or a hour karaoke or quiz entertainment very poor. Overall a enjoyable stay but would try a different hotel if I go back well when I go back.

We spent 2 weeks at this hotel and had a truly amazing time. The staff were amazing in so many ways. The choice of restaurants from seafood, Steak house, Italian, Mexican and French and the buffet restaurant that had a huge variety of well cooked food. Outside by the pools was a Japanese restaurant and a buffet of burger and hotdogs. The drinks flowing all day. The Staff work very hard but always seem happy. We found tipping them regularly they especially looked after you. The day of my daughters birthday they made her a special birthday cake and made animals out of towels for her. She was very chuffed. I would definitely recommend this hotel we felt very much at home. There is so much to do in Cancun it is truly paradise.

We had a nice family trip to Cancun Aug 26 - Sep 1. We travel every year to Cancun and wanted to try Crown Paradise, because of their kids water park and activities for the kids that they have. Since the hotel was booked the first day we arrived, we didn't get the room we wanted. We got the room in the Paradise Tower. Then we got moved the next day to the Crown tower, room 1638 with a nice view of ocean and pools. Our kids really liked the water park, and kids club, and they enjoyed their kids drink menu, it was very delicious and not watered down. The buffet La palapa didn't have much choice, and had same menu everyday. We really enjoyed our meal at the a la carte restaurants, Steak House, Italian, and Mexican, was very delicious. We really liked the Snack area next to the main pool, it had fresh cooked burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken wings, chicken nuggets. And there is a nice Japanese open for lunch only, really good sushi and many more. The pools were really nice, with lots of lounge chairs. Beach was a little rough when we were there, but its ok. we mostly spent our time at the water slides and pools. Nightly entertainment was really good at night, we really enjoyed it. And we really like spending our time in the game room (Jetix) pool tables, table tennis, hockey table, ps4 for the kids to play. If we ever come back to Cancun with the kids, we will definitely stay at Crown Paradise Club Cancun.

This 3-star hotel gets 4 stars for value, 4 stars for kids activities/pool/slides/nightly shows, 3 stars for quality of room, 3 stars for room service, 3 stars for location - the beach was 50% of time with too much seaweed and wavy to swim, 3-4 star for restaurants (all reservation restaurants have AC, La Palappa buffet had indoor AC seating and outdoor - but I felt that the food sitting there should be in AC environment. I was at Royal Solaris last year and the buffet restaurant was fully AC'ed.), 3 stars for lobby - no AC at concierge or lobby. They should make an effort to install ACs or at the very least, overhead fans everywhere as guests comfort should be their highest priority. They did offer cool drinks at check in which was a nice gesture.

The 1st room I was booked in was in building #2, room 2211, one of the worst conditions I've ever seen. That room should be closed down for renovation, it had a kitchenette from the 1970s with a rusting microwave and fridge. The bed did not even have a headboard or decorative sheets; put it this way: it did not resemble any of the room pictures ONLINE. I checked in and went straight to check in desk to change the room. They changed me to building #1, #1615, a much more modern room that had semblance to the pictures. There are 3 elevators and 1 of them was not working for 1 day. The room was partial beach view and b/c they didn't have double beds, I got a king-size with a roll away bed (there was 4 of us in the room). The room AC was strong and room was not muggy, the swimsuits and clothes did dry on the balcony most days.

The kids loved the 10 slides and waterpark and kids club. It was very fun for them.
There was activities 4 days a night for my 2 kids: 4 yrs old and 6 yrs old.

The nightly shows were amazing - I was so impressed. They had the magician show. He was great especially with chopping the woman in half (I still don't know how he does it). And the Cirque de .... something that resembled cirque de soleil. These 7 gymnasts had some real real talent, hanging sideways from a bar (still don't know how he trained his muscles to do that.)

The drinks were awesome, being all-inclusive you would think they would water them down, well let me tell you, they didn't. The pina coladas, mudslides, mojitos were yummy. The strawberry daiquiris were horribly sweet. Unlimited diet cokes with lime, yummy.

The food was good 3-4 stars, but when I left I was glad to return to some Asian cuisines. It got tiring to eat american dishes all the time. The papaya, fruit juices, green juices were phenomenal.

Room/housekeeping service was slow, when you call for towels, you had a 50-50 chance of obtaining them, blankets was the same ordeal. Somehow, the housekeepers were hesitant to give out towels even though I kept insisting I have a party of 4 and need 4 of each towel, they would give me 4 big ones, 2 medium sized, and 2 small? Don't know why they would hoard towels. They were willing to give away toilet tissue and facial tissues and soaps/shampoos.

The best waiters - Isaiah at the Palappas was awesome, we loved him, he even entertained the kids with 2 magic tricks. Jose at the italian restaurant was great and attentive. Rey at the steak restaurant was great. The adult pool bartender made some mean drinks :), overall restaurants enjoyment depends a lot on the type of waiter you get. it's a hit or miss.

The pools was great. There were children's pool/waterpark, a semi- indoor shaded pool, 2 outdoor pools for families, 1 terrace pool with plenty of palappas for ADULTS ONLY for when you dropped the kids off. Jacuzzi was NOT HEATED, bummer. We had 2 cloudy days of the 9 days we stayed there so the heated jacuzzi would have been nice.

Overall, I would say 3 1/2 star experience but the value is definitely 4 stars, would return with kids. If only adults trip, might consider another resort.

Dear mangomadness101: We are very sorry about the situation that you experienced during your visit, about the food in the restaurants that you find very repetitive I have spent your comment with the Executive Chef to make some improvements on the menu and the variety of foods as well as the rooms with the issue with the towels Today we have fully upgraded rooms. We would appreciate it if you gave us the opportunity to offer you a better service so that you could redeem the image you had of us. We thank you in advance for your preference for Crown Paradise Club Cancun and hope to have your preference again. Thank you very much for your feedback and we are at your service. Dear Suzie, First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing Crown Paradise Club during your last stay in the Mexican Caribbean and for sharing your feedback with us. We were pleased to learn that you appreciated most of our services and that your overall impression was excellent. Nevertheless, we feel sorry to read that the wifi service was not working well. Our supplier is installing some adjuncts that improves de wifi signal. However, your comments are very important for us as we strive to constantly improve our services and facilities. It has been a real pleasure to have you staying with us and we really hope to welcome you back soon at Crown Paradise Club in Cancún. Sincerely, Julio Cabrera General Manager

we were upgraded with a suite in the adult only tower which also then included free wifi. There was always plenty of drinks and food. We loved that the restaurants had adult only areas which the staff strongly enforced. The staff were quick to remember us including our drink choices and would immediately come by with a beverage as soon as they saw us! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Make sure to make as many dinner reservations as soon as you get there. Our room was very clean and huge with an amazing view of the pool and beach. Our only complaint was that our mini bar wouldn't be re-stocked daily and we would have to call several times and at one time get a manager involved since the front desk was going to charge us for re-stocking the minibar :(

Otherwise, we had an amazing time, we booked some tours through the BD agent at the hotel, there were no sales pressures for anything and we had a fabulous time!

Struggled all holiday due to the lack of shade even the kids club has minimal shade most of it is outdoor. The area that is undercover is open so no air con which meant my older daughter didn't want to go.The rep for Thomas cook couldn't help she hadn't even been in the kids club. Lots of people made shade with placing one sunbed on top of each other, as soon as I did this the security man was over taking it down!! Not easy with three fair children, spoilt our holiday as ending up sitting in the room which is very basic, not a room I wished to spend time in. Had several issues with the room been cleaned and no towels, first day came back 4.30 for the kids to have a nap the cleaner arrived to do the room I explained the kids were sleeping and asked to come back at 6 they said yes to then receive 3 phone calls asking to clean now which kept waking the kids. They did come at six but after a lot of hassle and I have never been at a hotel where the room is cleaned so late. Towels not sure if they have a shortage but several times either not enough or none at all. Called as kids in shower and not noticed they had yet again not been left, had to ring five times as kept saying they were on the way 40 mins later they came. I explained we would miss our booking for their restaurants as you have to book for each meal and got put on hold for ten minutes . The food was plentiful with a good selection in the buffet and to a good standard, the restaurants have a limited menu. Most of the staff here are great, bar staff and waiters are fab. Nice beach the sea is very rough so not for young children. The hotel itself is old and in my opinion is not four star the rooms need updating. My friend stayed on the seventh floor and the lifts break down all the time with them in it . We tried to keep this from my daughter as we requested a first floor room as she is terrified of lifts and is having Treatment for this and other things really not helpful at all !! On arrival we didn't have a ground floor room allocated and had to wait around sorting this with my stressed daughter. Not the relaxing holiday I had in in mind and basic requirements that spoilt it!

There are a few areas away from families to smoke- outside the front lobby and below the stairs on your way to the kids slides, there are ashtrays for butts. There were also ashtrays near the two front pools on the walking paths, although I felt awkward using those as the walkways can be busy with families.
