INDESCRIBABLY, BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL
I'm an ardent fan of film noir although it was years before my time. I especially love Robert Mitchum, and Robert Ryan even more. No one could portray a " racist" better than Robert Ryan. In this movie and also " BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK" Ryan shines....Funny .thing is he was very liberal and leftist.
But Gloria Graham.....Ah Gloria Graham!!!! In my opinion she exuded a striking kind of beauty. I've been in love with her since I was 12 years old. No one could play the part of a down and out sordid girl with a heart of gold better, or even as well as, G.G.GREAT, GREAT MOVIE
