Back in 2020, Donald Trump's debate with Joe Biden was canceled due to Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis and refusal to appear remotely rather than in person. He seemed to want Biden to catch Covid. It was weird.

In 2019, Donald claimed that the 2016 debates were "biased" and suggested that he may not participate in further CPD-hosted debates. Well, Joe just took the gloves off, saying, "I hear you're free on Wednesdays." Lumpy responded on Truth Social, claiming that Biden is the "WORST debater."

"Crooked Joe Biden is the WORST debater I have ever faced - He can't put two sentences together!" Trump insisted. "Crooked is also the WORST President in the history of the United States, by far."

'It's time for a debate so that he can explain to the American People his highly destructive Open Border Policy, new and ridiculous EV Mandates, the allowance of Crushing Inflation, High Taxes, and his really WEAK Foreign Policy, which is allowing the World to "Catch on Fire.,"' It continued.

"I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September," It added. 'I would strongly recommend more than two debates and, for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds - That's only because he doesn't get them. Just tell me when, I'll be there. "Let's get ready to Rumble!!!"'

GOP Trump lickspittle Tommy Tuberville saying the quiet part out loud, and proving once again he's one of the dumbest members of the United States Senate. As we discussed here, Tuberville made an appearance outside of the courtroom in Manhattan and whined that the prosecutors were causing Trump "mental anguish."

Apparently embarrassing himself with those remarks, along with the rest of the cultists who showed up in their MAGA uniforms at the courthouse this Tuesday wasn't enough for Tuberville. He also admitted on Newsmax that he came to New York City to break the gag order for Trump:

MSNBC Anchor Nicolle Wallace reported Tuberville's public admission, made on the conservative channel Newsmax, as part of her coverage on Trump's ongoing criminal hush money trial and the gag order the former president has been fined for repeatedly violating.
"I guess we love that he just gives it to us, right?" said a laughing Wallace. "Were you trying to go against the gag order and intimidate witnesses because Trump can't? 'Yes, sir.'"
Tuberville spoke to the media outside of the courthouse on Monday, attacking the district attorney and witnesses, and went so far as to question whether the jury was truly American.

MAGA henchmen Steve Bannon and Mike Lindell are fuming at Speaker Mike Johnson, who was their golden boy when he became Speaker.

Now he is nothing more then swill at the bottom of a dirty bowl.

BANNON: When you see Mike Johnson, are you seeing and hearing a biblical worldview, sir?
LINDELL: Well, here's Mike Johnson. This is really bad to Donald Trump. Oh, wait a minute, it says here I'm a Christian.Just hold on, let me look at my notes.Let me look at my notes.
This guy has no passion for our country. He has no passion for our great real president. This guy has to go. I'm serious, Steve.
This is disgusting, him up there reading off some notes that would speak, he couldn't even, if you have passion for our country or passion for what's going on, the travesties going on against our real president, you can speak from the heart and speak out and get the country behind you.
This guy is a spy.

Fox News America's Newsroom co-host Bill Hemmer came up with a new excuse for Trump constantly falling asleep at his trial.

Diminished Don continues to cry that the courtroom is too cold and he's freezing, but Hemmer has a new view.

Hemmer: I mean, this is a two-story drab courtroom.
Sounds like I'd love it. Was it freezing in there?
Hemmer: No, it wasn't, actually. It was actually warm.

Hemmer: And you can see the 18 jurors, right, because there's six alternates in addition to the 12. And you wonder, you know, you're sitting here for six, seven hours a day, and it's this warm in here.
You could easily fall asleep.

What is it too hot or too cold? Apparently Trump can't take any sort of weather fluctuations. The traitor must be at a constant 68° or else kingnshitzhispants snores.

UPDATE: That was quick. The two campaigns have apparently agreed to a date of June 27. Debate to be hosted by CNN.

President Biden is willing to debate former President Donald J. Trump at least twice before the election, and as early as June — but his campaign is rejecting the nonpartisan organization that has managed presidential debates since 1988, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times.
The letter by the Biden campaign lays out for the first time the president’s terms for giving Mr. Trump what he has openly clamored for: a televised confrontation with a successor Mr. Trump has portrayed, and hopes to reveal, as too feeble to hold the job.
Mr. Biden and his top aides want the debates to start much sooner than the dates proposed by the Commission on Presidential Debates, so voters can see the two candidates side by side well before early voting begins in September. They want the debate to occur inside a TV studio, with microphones that automatically cut off when a speaker’s time limit elapses. And they want it to be just the two candidates and the moderator — without the raucous in-person audiences that Mr. Trump feeds on and without the participation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or other independent or third-party candidates.

Nice to see Joe Scarborough ripping the New York Times over their crappy, misleading polls.

"Wait, John Heilemann. There is more. People are calling saying this is a reaction to one poll. You go go back and look at the tape. We do this every time when this poll comes. It's always an outlier and the New York Times always gets 15 or 16 articles out of them that everybody rushes to because it says 'Earth ends at 5:00.'"

"NPR has found some of these voters that said, you know, a voter for Biden before, but wait. This guy, we checked the voting rolls. He has never voted! Not just the people in the surveys but people the New York Times quoted in their article. 'Here is one of many people we interviewed who is disillusioned and voting for Trump.' No record of him voting."

Heilemann said he wasn't going to "carry water" for the Times or the methodology of this poll. "I keep going back to the thing I try to say every time we talk about these things. I know you know this. What are the polls showing us directionally about the race?"

Scarborough brushed him off. "I'm focusing on the New York Times is actively shaping the election cycles where this poll comes out on a Sunday and on Monday, people go, oh -- I heard it. I'm going, don't be so stupid and why we are doing this. Hold on. What I hear is after the Siena polls coming out, every time, everything that Joe Biden has done since the State of the Union address the money he has put out and all of the campaigning is for naught," he said.

Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks won the Democratic primary for Maryland’s open Senate seat yesterday, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ. Via The Hill:

Alsobrooks beat out fellow Democrat Rep. David Trone (Md.) in what had become a tumultuous race. Just days earlier, an Emerson College Polling/The Hill/DC News Now found the two in a dead heat.
She will make history if she wins in November, becoming the first Black woman to represent the Old Line State in the Senate.
Alsobrooks is set to face off against popular former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) in the fall.

Yes, the polls had her in a dead heat. She won by 10+ points.

It’s absolutely gobsmacking that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, second in line to the presidency, made an all out assault on our rule of law Tuesday. But nothing gives you a better picture of where the Republican party is these days.

In case you missed it, Super Duper Christian Speaker Mike Johnson, who is from Louisiana, had nothing more important to do than to go to New York and make a show of support to Donald Trump in his criminal trial about covering up his extramarital affairs with a porn star and Playboy model. And coincidentally, send a mob-like message of intimidation to Judge Juan Merchan as he presided over the case. Just what Jesus would have done, I’m sure!

As C&L’s John Amato pointed out, Johnson ridiculously claimed he was just attending the trial to support “a friend.” While he was there, Johnson called the New York trial a “sham” whose real purpose is to keep his favorite p***y grabber “off of the campaign trail.” In other words, Johnson is a willing, if not eager, accomplice in Donald Trump’s attack on our system of justice.

Johnson proved he doesn’t see any reason to abide by the judge’s ruling, either. Judge Merchan has previously issued a gag order barring Trump from talking about witnesses, jurors, attorneys, court staff and their families, as well as Merchan’s grown daughter, because Trump’s attacks endangered his targets.

Among Senate Republicans' top targets this cycle, Arizona initially looked promising. While Senate Democrats are defending seats in even tougher territory such as Ohio and Montana, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s retirement in Arizona left Democrats fighting to protect a seat no longer anchored by a Democratic incumbent.

But election denier and MAGA diehard Kari Lake, the likely GOP nominee, is upending Senate Republicans' calculus in the state. Arizona Republicans are privately wincing at Lake's chances, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recently declined to name Arizona as a seat they are focused on flipping.

Lake's likely Democratic challenger, Rep. Ruben Gallego, is currently lapping her in fundraising while Senate Democrats are also roundly outgunning their GOP counterparts.

The Democrats' Senate Majority PAC has reserved $23 million in ad buys for the fall, according to Politico, while Senate Republicans are still holding their fire.
