Solid as A Paper Rock
This vehicle was first owned by my grandfather when I was around six years old. I always joked about owning this truck and sure enough when I turned sixteen it came into my possession because my grandfather bought a newer and better truck for himself. This thing gets to Point A to Point B generally in once piece and has yet to fail me in terms of travel. As an attention magnet, however, is a completely different story.

Very Reliable Car
I have owned my 2002 GMC Sonoma for four years now, and the previous owner had it for three years before me. It has 105,000 miles on it and I keep waiting for something to go wrong; however, I have never had to take it in for repairs. I have been good about scheduling oil changes and tire rotations and other preventative maintenance, but otherwise, I drive it a lot and have not experienced any mechanical issues. The truck is four door with nylon upholstery on the seats, which I personally really like as I find leather to be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. One of my favorite features is compass/navigation and outside thermometer that appears on the roof of the cab over the center console. It is something that I would not expect to find in a vehicle of 14 years, but I have found it to be reliable and extremely convenient to have. Another aspect that I really like about this particular truck is the relatively small size. It is a four door truck, but is much smaller than a lot of other pick up trucks, which makes it easy to park and maneuver while still offering the utility of a truck bed.

GMS Sonoma.
This vehicle has a lot of miles on it but still runs well. It uses no oil, and all features are still working. The V6 engine has good power and smooth acceleration and handles the local mountain terrain well. Cargo space is good, and yet the vehicle is still small enough to be maneuverable in town. The automatic transmission developed a seal leak, but that has been repaired, and now it operates well. The interior gauges are well located for easy visibility and include actual gauges instead of bad lights. The ride is smooth for a truck, the split bucket seats are comfortable, and it includes adequate storage in the console. Other features include daytime running lights and automatic headlights which work well. The windshield wipers have a wide range of positions for different speeds as well as a washer. The interior is kept at a comfortable temperature by a functional heater and air conditioner with a range of settings. Maintenance is easy enough for oil changes to include the filter. One difficult area is spark plugs which requires access through the right front wheel well for plugs on the right side of the engine, but this is manageable. Overall, this is a good solid vehicle with 4WD for difficult terrain or snow, and I would not hesitate to buy it again.
