Online Certificate of Origin Preparation

$50  $25/Certificate

We make getting your ICC-compliant Certificate of Origin fast and easy using our online portal.

A Certificate of Origin (CO) is a document that certifies that goods have been wholly produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country (or countries). COs are frequently required in order to clear Customs. They may also be required per the terms of a Letter of Credit. In many cases, the duty rate and admissibility are affected by the goods’ country of origin. Failure to properly declare the origin of goods may result in delays, higher duty/tariff rates, fines/penalties, entry denial, or seizure.

Our online preparation service eliminates the need to physically obtain a CO from the Chamber of Commerce in-person. Our service is International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and World Chambers Federation (WCF) compliant with ICC Publication 809e. It includes:

  • Electronic entry and submission of the CO form via our online portal that connects directly to an ICC Accredited Chamber of Commerce in the US
  • Fast electronic CO delivery via PDF — Save on couriers, travel, and postage
  • COs are verifiable by Customs authorities overseas via the ICC verification system
  • Certified copies can be stored digitally, printed as needed, and transferred to overseas agents
  • Database powered online software remembers entry details to speed up document preparation
  • Each CO application is reviewed and compared against your Commercial Invoice for discrepancies, helping you avoid costly errors
  • The ability to request embassy legalization online when needed

Our easy-to-use online portal makes it simple to electronically submit your Certificate of Origin form. Once you’re registered in our system, you can get your CO delivered electronically in about an hour, rather than days. Our database makes form submission easy. What is a Certificate of Origin?

A Certificate of Origin is a document used in international trade that identifies the origin country of the goods being exported. It is a mandatory document required by various country customs. A Certificate of Origin is issued by a Chamber of Commerce when a shipper attests that the goods have been wholly produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country.

There are two types of Certificate of Origins:

  • Non-Preferential – This is the main type of Certificate of Origin and it certifies that there is no preferential treatment applicable based on the goods’ country of origin. Another name for this type of certificate is Ordinary Certificate of Origin.
  • Preferential – This type of Certificate of Origin is for exporting to countries that extend privileges (reduced tariffs or exemptions) for goods from specific countries. This may be needed for custom’s requirements, a buyer’s request, or Letters of Credit.
