Junior: During my time at Montgomery College, I found the experience to be extremely enriching. The college offers a range of programs and courses, and I chose to pursue an associate degree. The professors were knowledgeable, experienced, and always willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. What I appreciated about the college was its accessibility. Montgomery College has three different locations, which made it easy for me to attend classes without having to worry about long commutes or spending too much time on the road. Sophomore: I will be graduating from NOVA in a month and it has been a great experience. I have taken my time with my degree and have spent six years here. I've had many great professors that genuinely care about my success. I've been able to experience many great things while also saving a lot of money. Not only are the academics great, but NOVA hosts a lot of events. Movie nights, NOVA's got talent, and NOVA day are just a few examples. They're really fun ways that the school encourages socializing and provides a well deserved break from classes. The school is located right near anything you'll need; shopping, food, and entertainment. Being so close to DC is definitely a plus! Something I would like to see changed is the food inside of the school. I attended the Manassas campus, and the cafe is not the best. There used to be students running it, but now the food is served from vending machines. Overall, my experience has been fantastic and I hope other students enjoy it as well.... Read 2,971 reviews

Graduate Student: I attended Prince George's Community College during covid so that has affected my view on the college. I would say overall the college handled the situation relatively well considering the pandemic. For the first year, I was predominantly online line and the teachers worked hard and tried to be flexible understanding that online classes aren't always easy to access. When the campus was able to open up safely I found that campus life was peaceful and there was easy access to help and various resources. The teachers are considerate and patient with the students that they even stay after with a student to provide help, to last-minute meetings during office hours. Freshman: My overall college experience thus far has been an enjoyable one. I am currently a Junior and Senior at my high school. At the same time, I am also juggling my first year of community college. Balancing these three roles can be quite the juggling act. The courses I have taken at the College of Southern Maryland have made my experience pleasant. The professors I have been assigned have been highly enjoyed and appreciated. Each and every one of them has been beyond helpful and informative, challenging and pushing me intellectually without feeling overwhelmed. Though my experience is brief and limited, I am confident I have made the right choice to attend this college. I honestly do not recognize any need for changes.
