The guy at the front desk was on the phone when we walked in. He completed his call, while we waited. With no apology he checked us in. We walked up to our second floor room. ( never saw an elevator) The place was very quiet and room was clean. At night the lights from the McDonald’s next door shone though the thin curtains. I don’t recommend staying on that side of the hotel!
The breakfast room is small, but very plentiful spread. Waffles, eggs, hash browns, pastries, juices and wonderful breakfast sausages. I asked the gal, Tammy, that was looking after the breakfast about how she cooked them. She was kind enough to tell me, while still working. She was doing a good job.
Yes, we would definitely come back here again, but on the other side of the hotel.

We stayed here twice in one week. On the way up to Clear lake then again on the way back. Both rooms were clean. The phone did not work on the second room. We did not need it but I did tell the front desk when we were leaving. Itcould be dangerous if someone needs to call 911. The rooms had mini fridges and microwaves. No coffee maker but they had coffee in the lobby all day. The first day they were working on the room that you eat breakfast in so we had to eat in our room which is a bit awkward. They had bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffle making machine, muffins, etc. (The second day they had sausages instead of bacon and the room was open.) The food server was very friendly. They had a security guard 24 hours. Not sure if that is usual as there were peoples staying there from the fires up North. The maintenance man went above and beyond to retrieve my diamond earring from out of the sink drain when I accidently dropped it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! They also facilitated our request for a room on the main floor as close to an exit as possible.

Stayed here a few times and always good. The staff are friendly and check in was fast. My queen bed room was comfy and cozy. The location is right off the highway near restaurants and gas stations . Will stay here again.

Entry was dirty. Check-in desk area was filthy, a full garbage can was first visual upon entering to check in. Tattered computer chair for guests, dirty worn carpets on staircase to second floor. All touch surfaces are dirty. Several family members appear to be living from within this motel and eating from the breakfast room. They fill plate after plate with 12 slices bread , as many yogurts, muffins etc. leaving nothing for hotel paying guests. These family members brought in their own coffee carafes to fill from the breakfast room and left with same and all the sugar packets. No conscious about emptying out the entirety of the food from breakfast room. Witnessed a senior guest change 2 overfilled garbages in breakfast room. Management/staff seems to turn a blind eye to the filth going on around them . This whole building and staff are disgusting!

After a long day of driving I showed up oh so tired asking for a pet friendly room.
The evening staff was very welcoming.
The room I got was on the floor level with a patio door which is great for letting out the dog if needed.
The rooms were extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable.
In the morning as I dropped my key off the lady with short hair asked if I would like breakfast which during a pandemic is just the sweetest thing. She is so lovely to encounter first thing in the morning.
I am very happy with my service I have received and I would highly recommend this location.

We generally stay at Comfort Inns while traveling, unfortunately this Inn I would not recommend. The check in process was just fine but the policy here is to add $100 fee for incidentals, but when you get to the room you have ask why ? Normally you have a coffee maker available, not in this room. The clerk said the kitchen was under construction so breakfast would be to go .. I see a review from September 2021 stating the same, so we went to a restaurant instead. The room was small and not as clean as other Comfort inns we have been to, the bathroom was ok but only supplied a couple towels. If we travelled to Brandon again we would not stay at this Comfort Inn.

We checked in on Friday, September 3rd, I am writing this on Sunday evening at 9:30 pm. We have had no maid service at all.....the promised breakfast meal in a bag is supposed to have a breakfast sandwich, muffin, orange and a yogurt...... every morning all we get is a hard orange and a dry muffin, no sandwich, no yogurt.

The box spring on the bed is badly worn and offer no support. Huge dark stains on the carpet by the foot of the bed. Internet extremely slow- even freezes up. The AC unit is very loud, but does keep the room cool.

I am in Brandon dealing with a family issue since the evening of Monday, November 7th. I got to the hotel just around midnight, after driving through snow and bad weather. I checked in online with a rate of $85 or $89/night (cannot remember). On Thursday, November 10th I had to drive back to Winnipeg for the same family issue and return to Brandon the next day. I explained the situation to the front desk clerk clerk and he kindly agree to check me out that day and offer me to book another room from November 11 to 13 at the same rate I checked in when I first arrived.

However, I was charged a rate of $129/night. I tried to explain the situation to the front desk clerk. I will repeat what one customer already said "she was argumentative and uncompassionate". She was also rude, condescending and again uncompassionate considering what I am going through right now. I was about to break down and cry and she would continue arguing with me and blame me for their mistake.

She reluctantly try to call her supervisor, but the supervisor did not answer the call. She continued being argumentative until I decided to leave because I was going to breakdown.

I hope someone up the chain reads this and contact me to discuss.

Regards.

Jorge W.

My wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn while visiting Brandon. The hotel is very clean and quiet and good value for the money. The breakfast was excellent: sausages, eggs, potatoes, waffles, toast, cereals, yogurt etc. The staff are very friendly and honest . My wife inadvertently left her purse in the breakfast area. Within a couple of minutes we got a call in our room to come to the front desk to pick up her purse. The staff refused any monetary reward. We will definitely stay here again when in Brandon.
