Columbia College Chicago Reviews
Rating 3.64 out of 5 2,787 reviews
I absolutely love this school. If you want to go into the arts and be located in Chicago, you should go here. The people here are amazing and incredibly talented. There are a bunch of different clubs that focus on hobbies and sports. They have an interesting selection of classes and focus on different topics, varying in semesters. The teachers here want you to succeed and are still active in the creative fields they teach. One thing I would say, however, is that there should be more sections in the classes since so many students often find themselves on a waiting list.
Columbia is a very specific college to get yourself into. If you are questioning what you want to major in, then it is definitely not the right option. It's very expensive, especially for students who are out of state like me. The only reason I'm here is because they offer a very specific program that will take me exactly where I want in life. Campus life is very different from most colleges because it doesn't really have one. It's also in the center of the Chicago Loop and it can be a safety issue. Even though Columbia is very strict with their safety, incidents do still happen. Throughout my first year I've really enjoyed all my classes and professors. Columbia does have a lot of opportunities and has some great facilities.
Columbia College Chicago is an extremely diverse and welcoming college. The college offers many resources for students of all backgrounds and interests. There are many advisors for each major that help students navigate the school life and offer different programs. The college offers different ways to connect and network to major companies in different industries. Even the teacher will help with navigating different industries, especially if they've had experience from the specific industry or company. There are many mentors and tutoring opportunities, both on campus and online. The campus has a student building for food, relaxing, and extracurricular activates. But even though the food tastes good, it can be expensive.
